Hey girlie! PT & nutritionist here 🙋🏼♀️ it’s going to be extremely difficult to grow glutes in a fat loss phase, the glutes need a lot of fuel to grow (one of our biggest muscles!), it’s not impossible but it’s going to take a lot longer then if you were at maintenance or in a surplus!
Progressive overload, high protein & calorie deficit. Alongside optimal rest and recovery is what will help grow your glutes! Xx

I am also currently 5 weeks into a calorie deficit and can relate to the fluctuations in hunger. Some days I feel so full (aiming for 100-120g protein per day) while others I feel so so hungry. Love that I can watch you go on this journey alongside me!

A tip for your RDLs so you don’t feel them in your back! At the bottom of the movement, initiate coming back up with your hips first. If you watch your form back you might notice how your upper body comes up first and pulls the weight up, followed by your hips. I like to cue this with my clients as a standing hip thrust, the hips are the main movement driver - which also helps activate the hamstrings and the glutes in the movement 🫶

Have you considered doing wide-grip pull-ups, if you want to target your back? I think the ones you were doing target your biceps more. I might be wrong though :))
