I own a 2017 Gas F V8 which I love. It is a fun daily driver. Mine has the adjustable dampers which were included on 2017 and up models. Lexus only produced 2400 in the US market between 2016 to 2020, making it very rare.
Hey Kevin, new subscriber here. I have a 2013 GS350 with the V6 and agree with what you say -- it is definitely more focused towards being comfortable than sporty even with the F Sport package, but even the V6 is quite potent, sounds great, and is insanely reliable. I test drove an ND2 MX5 and absolutely loved it but can't justify such an impractical car as a daily currently but I'd love one in the future. I'm also a student studying to get into medical school (hopefully!) and love your other channels too. It's awesome seeing someone else who has the same interests in medicine and cars. Keep it up!
Recommendation about your steering category in your Driving index - you should separate the steering feel/feedback from steering precision/accuracy ratings. I think a lot of cars now are good at the latter but not great at the former.
Great and fair review! I went the opposite direction as the owner and chose the IS500 over the GSF. Personally I found the GSF to be too big of a car and since I rarely have more than one person with me, it made sense for my day-to-day. Incidentally, I did find the IS500 to be lighter on its feet than both the GSF and the RCF; but if you're interested in track work, the transmission and oil cooling of those two can't be beat. Thanks for posting!
slow compare to ZF8 and the Aisin 10 spd in the LC500. it fast shifting only in sport + and at redline when wide open throttle, if you try to short shift using paddle it become clunky.
Ok this review was very basis asf did nothing but bash the car I’ve driven the GSF a couple of times and it handled great and it was fast very comfortable as well all you need you need to do to sharpen the handling is put it in Sport + put the TVD in track mode and your good the transmission is quick and raw so before you bash a car you’ve only been driving for 30 minutes do your proper research on the car and no people don’t buy a F series car just for the engine…
I'd much rather the IS500 over this. It's better equipped, lighter AND CHEAPER. Sure, it doesn't come with the TVD nor the engine oil radiator, but it looks better and despite its shorter dimensions, interior space is almost about the same (save for a few inches on trunk space).

When you say the transmission is slow ,it would be nice to know compared to what or by what metric.

Looking better is debatable
@@VictorFlores-fc7pbTrue, but for my tastes, the IS500 looks a lot better!
GSF is cheaper and handles better only the IS500 is better than the GSF is speed but not by much
first time being first lol whatever
