90% of waht you worry about doesn't happen. That last 10% is why we train, work, save, invest, and dig ditches to plant the problems, either to make them dissapear and neutraize the threat, or to solidify the walls we need to build to survive."

I'm going through a lot right now and when I finally stated that, "I didn't care anymore and do whatever you want". I noticed an instant shift in how others responded. There were people and companies that were actually fighting with me to care LOL. It was the funniest thing ever and I couldn't stop laughing. I know that the transition is coming, I've felt a great weight lifted off of my shoulders and I'm happy about that.

"Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

Dare Me, As I approach 65, I find how many philosophizes from other cultures that are similar in some form. I've been following the American native culture for some time. It's how my spirit guides guide me through life. Now that stoic philosophy have entered into them picture, I see a different point of view of what other cultures have said in a different ways. If we open to the prospect that we are guided to that which we need at that moment. In some sense, stoic philosophy is a guide to a greater way of life if we open to it's message. We have the ability. Open to the prospect.

I admit that I fell out of stoicism because my life became easier and I had more access to life's pleasures. Going at it again harder than last time. Not falling for the trap of an easy life.

Diversity in content is always a good thing. I've found another channel that provides a unique take on the same topics th-cam.com/video/B1gA1_QtUAo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rpP45O5n1qwdAetk

Let's remember those who have left deep imprints in our memories, those who have contributed to shaping the tapestry of our lives with cherished memories and invaluable values. Though life may be fraught with challenges and difficulties, sometimes the pain lies not in reality but in our imagination. Let us transform ourselves into resilient individuals, facing every challenge with determination and resolve, for it is only then that we can overcome every obstacle and progress further along our journey.

With the invention of the internet nothing is entirely out of our control, because someone can always voice their opinion and have some influence, even if it's small. This is my only issue with the whole 'letting things go' concept.

I'm depressed because of the past, anxious about the not too distant future but not really concerned beyond a few months from now because I really hope I'm not around to experience it.

Dare me! Thank you for this, the part about “some people just crave war” really helped me in our current climate. It also helps to realize that wars are almost always being fought somewhere in the world, some are just more publicized than others!
