Thank you for your service of all. We have an aft balcony booked for an upcoming Alaska/Hawaiian cruise. We are sooooooooo excited. Thank you for the review.
You are a crack up. Really enjoyed your video and I think we may change rooms since there are still a few on our ship. Thank you for your words of wisdom and thank you for your service to our country.
Just booked an Alaskan cruise in an aft balcony. I read somewhere that there could be vent noise and smells, and started to worry. Glad you hear you like it! I think we will too! Thank you for the information, and your service!
Thank you so much for your reply. You’re gonna have a great time and what better place to enjoy a balcony stateroom but Alaska cause the views are gonna be unbelievable. Have fun and thank you again.
Vietnam Era USAF Vet to my Navy brother…good job! We’ll experience our first aft balcony aboard Explorer of the Seas in 55 days. This will be our 17th cruise in eleven years. We love it!!! Texas out…PEACE! 👊🏻🤙🏻
I appreciate you my brother and thank you for your loyal service. I pray that you both will have the best cruise ever. So happy for you and you must tell me how it goes. Be safe
We just booked an AFT for next summer’s Alaska cruise. I do home hemo dialysis and those rooms are bigger and can accommodate my machine and supplies. Highly recommended the AFT, I tip my room attendant a little extra and they’ll bring some of the nice lounge chairs to relax in… we typically do breakfast almost every day on the veranda….
@@vethattravelseats1785 Great cruise. Already have another booked and planning a third. Had a gorgeous departure out of Boston at sunset on that aft balcony. It was the best room to have for sure!
MY MAN!!! All I can say to this video is AMEN, BROTHER! I will NOT sail unless I have an aft facing balcony. My first cruise was on one and I was hooked from the start. Because they sell out so fast you have to book them way in advance, though on my last cruise, the couple below us booked theirs just weeks before the sailing. They probably lucked into picking up someone else's cancellation. You are right about everything you mentioned. Quiet , less traveled area, larger balconies, and the views, come on, they can't be beat. Watching that wake go off in the distance, the waterfall like sound when underway . Watching that wake is like staring into a camp fire, it becomes mesmerizing. I am sailing in just over 3 weeks on a Celebrity Millennium class ship. Look at the floor plans and you will see that the aft facing balconies on the ends (our cabin) sticks out even further than all the rest. The balcony itself is as large as the entire cabin of a standard balcony cabin. Not just bigger than the balcony but the whole standard balcony cabin! I have sailed on the Millennium class before in this same cabin. I would highly recommend you check it out. As a veteran myself, I immediately subscribed to your channel. As a Marine, I promise I will not hold you being a Navy guy against you. Besides, when it comes to the Army Navy game, we are both wearing the same colors, are we not?
Preach on my brother. Thank you for that powerful reply. Honestly, when I finished reading your comment I’m ready to book another aft balcony right now. lol. lol. lol. Keep cruising and enjoying life and most of all thank you for your service my brother. God bless.
DOC! We love you, brother. All Marines are brothers and we considered our Corpsman as our little brothers. They go right into combat just like everyone else but instead of a weapon, you are carrying life saving equipment for your brother Marines. I asked a Navy Corpsman once aren't you scared of going into combat with no way of defending yourself? His reply was priceless. "Hell no, man, I got a whole company of bad ass Marines looking out for me, and THEY are loaded for bear." ."@@vethattravelseats1785
I like as high up on the ship as possible but sometimes you have to be careful of what is above you and below you. If there is a late night venue above or below you may have a problem with noise. My last cruise there was the outside bar and outside seating for the buffet just above us. But it did not present a problem in that it was not frequented late at night and only a very few moving chairs in the morning, nothing to concern us at all. Also, I like to be on the end so as to only have one cabin next to me, but this is still not a deal breaker if it is in the middle. Either way, any aft facing balcony is better than most other balconies, that is why they sell out fast. Most of the time you have to book soon after they go on sale to make sure you get one. A good travel agent may be able to help.@@ladarafrancois4251
Oooh Thomas I’m telling the wife lol. Thank you for sharing this information. You’ve explained this so well. I was confused as to the aft balcony vs a regular balcony as a first time cruiser to be soon. So thank you. (New subscriber here).
I’m so glad that I was able to bring some good info for you. That aft balcony is well worth it. Thank you so much and when you go let me know how you enjoyed it. Be safe and take care. Tell the wifey hello from us here at Vet Hat travels and eats.
Hubby and I are both Army Veterans. Our fourth cruise aft balcony to central America cost $617.88 and we got $400 on board credit and free drinks anywhere on ship. We gamble when you spend a couple hundred you get next cruise and perks like crazy. We also get specialty dining with bottle of wine ANF filet minion and lobster with desert
First of all, thank you both for your services and WOW. That’s amazing. I’m not really a gambler but I may have to start. lol. Keep cruising and enjoying life.
Back of the ship but it doesn’t really matter what deck. For some reason as the ship is moving that Little Rock and sway at times helps you sleep. Thanks for your comment. I hope I answered your question.
Rumbling, vibration and noise can occur depending on older ships but still great ships. Repositioning the ship upon docking or leaving the dock is the only time we experienced it. Still, the aft facing is the best.
Not at all my brother. It’s so relaxing and you won’t even hear the water if your balcony door is closed. It’s relaxing. Thanks for the comment and be safe. If you do decide to book an aft balcony holla back at me and let me know what you thought about it.

Which one forward aft or back of the ship? What deck you like?
Back of the ship but it doesn’t really matter what deck. For some reason as the ship is moving that Little Rock and sway at times helps you sleep. Thanks for your comment. I hope I answered your question.
We have 5 cruises booked in the next 18 months, four of those Aft.. One of those in Alaska too :-)
Wonderful. You will have a great great time. Please subscribe and let me know how much fun you all will have. Be safe.
Love it! Thank you for the tip. #makeslovebetterontheaftbalcony
Yay, I’m so happy you had fun. Thank you for the reply.
Is it noisy from the rumble of the wake and prop??
Nope, not at all. The only thing you’ll hear is that beautiful ocean.
Rumbling, vibration and noise can occur depending on older ships but still great ships. Repositioning the ship upon docking or leaving the dock is the only time we experienced it. Still, the aft facing is the best.
Just found and watched your video. Question, being at the back of the ship, do you get a lot of the motor noise?
Not at all my brother. It’s so relaxing and you won’t even hear the water if your balcony door is closed. It’s relaxing. Thanks for the comment and be safe. If you do decide to book an aft balcony holla back at me and let me know what you thought about it.
@@vethattravelseats1785 I believe we will no matter which cruise giant we choose. Thanks for the reply.
