    What a great idea. I am sure many would like an ‘after review’ of many products. Hug! And TGE ‘customer service.’ I’ve had more than I can handle lately.
    And your cat, it was like a sideshow. I was just telling my wife about it who finally got up carrying our little beast.
    I wish more people did videos like this.EXTREMELY HELPFUL. Thank you!

    Thank you for all the details you shared! Very helpful showing 6 months in 👍 I don’t know what the warranty is that comes with it, but it is important to know the fine print. I would suggest purchasing with a credit card and if you have issues with the product, and the vendor isn’t cooperating, then contact the credit card company. It is a simple procedure to file a dispute.The credit card company will issue you a refund and it’s up the vendor to respond with a solution in order to reverse the refund made to you. I have had to do it a few times with purchases I made (with Amex and VISA) and the vendor didn’t bother to respond. Also, another tip is to use your credit card through PayPay as they offer a reimbursement of your return shipping cost for orders placed thru them.

      Thanks for the info. I didn't know that about the return shipping when purchased with PayPal.

    Thank you for taking the time to give a 6 month review. I rock tumble and have been looking at these for some time now. This video help me decide NOT to spend my money with them. You spent a lot of money to get the run around on some serious concerns. I hope the machine is still running for you.

    Great review. Hope you do a review on the Diamond Tumbler. Just curious how long it takes to tumble a load of glass.

    • @crazyglasslady
      @crazyglasslady  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends if Im tumbling stained glass I sometimes only tumble it for 24 hours just to get rid of the sharp edges but usually for 7 days.

    • @dally8399
      @dally8399 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why do you tumble glass for a week ? It looks like you just break the glass and scoop everything up and put it in the tumbler small shards , everything. Have so many questions lol

    • @crazyglasslady
      @crazyglasslady  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@dally8399 Happy to answer any questions. When using the large tumbler it turns more slowly then the small ones so it takes a little longer to tumble to the smoothness I like. So the courser the grit the faster it smoothes the glass. The faster the tumbler turns ( The smaller tumblers turn fastest) the faster it smoothes the glass. Sometimes in the small tumbler I can get away with 4 days and be happy with it. But the longer you tumble it the smoother and rounder it gets and it looks more like real sea glass. I hope that helps. Yes and that is exactly what I do break it up throw it in with water and grit , seal it up and turn it on. LOL Happy to answer questions ! One of the main reasons I started the channel I had to search to find answers on all of this so I thought I would show everyone what I have learned. Thanks for watching!

    • @dally8399
      @dally8399 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I pick my glass out after breaking because I’m afraid of those little shards. I also use sand instead of grit since the grit is hard to dispose of. But I would like more rounded pieces for some things

    • @dally8399
      @dally8399 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your understanding ! And answers 😀 I also put some rocks in my tumbler with the sand. Someone suggested rock salt have you heard that ?

    I just bought a 15-pound tumbler to do sea glass. My question is do I have to have Lots of glass to fill it or can I do smaller portions.? I love your video's Thank you

    • @crazyglasslady
      @crazyglasslady  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do not see any reason why you can't use less.It may grind down faster when it is filled more just because there is more glass hitting against each other. I have a couple large tumblers but use my 3lb national geographic one a lot for small amounts. Not sure if that helped you but let us know how it turns out.

    My barrel developed a hole in the neck after a year, but I didn’t use it a lot during that year. I have several tumblers and it is hard to keep up with. They are very dirty, loud, and doesn’t seem to last as long as they should. I tumble rocks and my neck did wear

    Is there another brand of rock tumbler in this size that you reccomend that has better customer service?

    • @crazyglasslady
      @crazyglasslady  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I own a 65 lb diamond pacific tumbler that I have had no problems with. So I'm not sure how customer service is. After that video the neck of the tumbler ( The MJR 35lb)was wearing through it had small holes and was leaking. I called they said mail it in I did another $30-$40 shipping but they did send me a new one back.

    • @crazyglasslady
      @crazyglasslady  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@OverallKirk I have had it for a year but I don't use it that much because it tumbles so much glass at one time that i prob only use one time a month. You only have to oil it once a month if using constantly unlike the MJR which has to be done every day.

    • @OverallKirk
      @OverallKirk ปีที่แล้ว

      @@crazyglasslady honestly thank you so much for this video because I was about to buy this thing and now knowing all this information I would definitely say it's worth it to just shell out the extra cash for Diamond Pacific items. I am just getting into the hobby myself, I have a Leegol 2(3lb) double barrel tumlber and one of those Nat Geo ones, but they just aren't big enough cuz I want to tumble a lot of glass! Plus, I also want to tumble rocks but dont need as big of a tumbler for that cuz I dont have nearly as many rocks where I live! Im basically in a polluted swamp.

    I just bought one and so far am not impressed. I bought the 40lb and it shakes so much that it wore out its bearings within two days of operation. I sent it back expecting they'd replace my clearly defective purchase but instead just sent it back with a new rod and evidently not tested because IT STILL SHAKES. Customer service is awful.. The tumbler drums are cool but like you said, the red rubs off immediately so it's useless and messy. I would expect to have to maintain the drums with fiberglass resin to ensure the grit doesnt rub all the way thru with long term use.

    • @crazyglasslady
      @crazyglasslady  ปีที่แล้ว

      About 6 months ago the barrel wore through at the neck and it was leaking . They did end up replacing the old one with a new one but I had to ship it back which cost me $25 and it was painted bright red which immediately starts rubbing off what a mess I don't know why they do that.

      Yes, So since I did that review the neck of my barrel also developed a hole so I called and this time were more responsive and did replace the barrel but the bad thing was I had to ship the old one which cost me almost $40.00 I still don't get why they send this bright red barrel and the red immediately starts coming off and makes a mess everywhere
