For me, Gojo stands out as a character due to how well written his archetype was. He isn’t merely “The Strongest” or “The Honored One”, he isn’t a god nor is he perfect. His name is Satoru Gojo, blessed and cursed with strength from birth. He has his own problems, tragedies, ideals and dreams, just like us normal humans. Why? Cuz he IS a normal human and not a god, and we can actually sympathise with his own struggles on his path to make a better Jujutsu society. Now THAT is how you actually write “The Strongest” archetype
Although I like your point of view, I have to disagree with a few of your points. The narrative behind Gojo and Kashimo is that they are NOT normal humans but they are "the strongest" in their eras. They are perfect. They are in a league of their own... They are kinda God to others and that's how they view themselves.. Remember, in JJK one can become the strongest only if you have an overwhelming degree of selfishness.. That's the principle of JJK world We know that Kashimo went fighting strong people for his own satisfaction (selfishness) but how Gojo?? In his fight against Toji, after experiencing a near death experience, he got enlightened. He came to understand the core of Jujutsu and fought Toji for his own satisfaction (selfishness) that's why he even says sorry to Amanai as he doesn't have any remorse for her death or any feelings as he feels He alone is the honoured one, A sentence one can say only when they have an overwhelming sense of self and complete disregard to others. He fought and killed Toji to find his own satisfaction, But the tragedy of Gojo is that he himself doesn't know that he fought Toji for his own satisfaction, we will come to this part later cause this will play an important role in understanding Gojo's character After killing Toji, he sees Geto his true friend and the one he sees as his equal Gojo knows that he is not feeling anything and asks Geto what to do, Geto says he should not kill non-sorcerers as it's their duty, like he always thought.. Remember, Gojo always thought that sorcerers shouldn't save non-sorcerers cause they are weak but Geto is the one who believed that sorcerers exist to protect non-sorcerers After that incident, Gojo went on to develop his CT to gain to satisfaction(selfishness) he felt fighting against Toji... That's why Nanami says in ch236 that Gojo used Jujutsu for his own satisfaction, but ultimately Gojo himself was not aware of it... Gojo was so focused in finding his satisfaction developing Jujustu that he didn't even see that Geto, his only friend who he saw as his equal was drifting astray. In fact, the moment Gojo got enlightened and became thag strongest, he was already far away for others to understand him and for him to understand others... Geto was so disgusted that the non-sorcerers whom he strived to protect were actually scared of the sorcerers and saw them as monsters that needed to be killed... Geto decided to kill all the non-sorcerers. When Gojo confronted Geto, he wanted to know the reason behind Geto's actions not knowing he will not be able to understand it... When Gojo become 'the strongest', he was not a normal human anymore, he can't understand the reasons of normal humans... The saddest part is that Gojo himself didn't know it, he thought to himself that he was a normal human but in reality he was not. Everyone except him knew this. That's why when Gojo says that killing all non-sorcerers is impossible, Geto responds that how can he say it's impossible when it is already possible for him... When Gojo looked dumb founded by this, Geto then asks the infamous question, "Are you the strongest because you are Gojo Satoru, or are you Gojo Satoru because you are the strongest?" Gojo not being able to understand both of these, he didn't do anything. He still thought himself as a normal human when he says to Yaga that, "he can only save those who are willing to be saved", thinking thay Geto didn't want to be saved whilst not knowing the reality that Gojo can't understand Geto or others and thus cannot saved them... Gojo thought about the words that Geto said, he thought about how something impossible for Geto is possible for him and how Geto questioned his identity with the strongest... Him not fully understanding these, came to a conclusion that if all were as strong as him, they can be saved and hence they can do the impossible act of changing the world of JJK, hence he became a teacher... He then realized that others can't really fully understand him and heck even Geto who once understood him is now not able to understand him, and how others view him as 'the strongest', he thought that atleast he can understand others and started to view his student as strong as him.. That's why he tossed his missions to others as he thought his students will like fighting their full while in reality they might have been too weak for it... Gojo slowly matured but still being the strongest, he was way far off from others... In fact, the first thing he did when he heard Sukuna was reincarnated was to ask Yuji to switch so that he can fight, as him being in jujutsu society and knowing that Sukuna was called the King of Curses, he thought that Sukuna can give him the satisfaction that he sought for so long(although he didn't knew it himself) but fighting with 1f Sukuna, he obviously was not to feel nothing and hence he was so confident that he will win against a full power Sukuna in ep2 as well as ch221 stating he will win... Gojo viewing his students as himself back fired, as when he got sealed, he was so sure that his students will take care of the matter not understanding the fact that the opps who were strong enough to seal him would be defeated by his students who were far weaker than him contradicting to him viewing them as his equals... When he was finally able to fight against Sukuna, he started the fight with having his students in his mind, but as the fight progressed and him having to not hold back for the 1st time since Toji, he wanted to give his all, show all his skills and talent not for his students, not for his friends, not for the Jujustu society but for himself, for his own selfishness for his own satisfaction and to feel the feeling he felt against Toji, and not just that but also to overcome this huge wall called as Sukuna... That's why to the near ending of the fight, Gojo forgot about his students and even Megumi and was only concentrated on killing Sukuna... That's why when he died, he was happy that he was able to give his all and thus Geto says that Gojo was satisfied... That's why Gojo died not as a sorcerer, not as the strongest but as Gojo Satoru and hence he died with not regrets in contradiction to Yaga's words... Gojo, Kashimo are those whose indentity became as being the strongest... The answer to Geto's infamous question is this, Gojo is 𝙶𝚘𝚓𝚘 𝚂𝚊𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚞 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚑𝚎 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚜𝚝... Their identity revolves around them being the strongest and different from others. Their only flaw is that they don't want to completely embrace this because they want to still be normal... Gojo wants others to understand him, Kashimo wants to understand others... While they both know they can't, they don't know why??? They don't want to be lonely, the are afraid of loneliness Gojo feared dying due to some disease and old age, without satisfying their loneliness while Kashimo literally died like that.. That's why they are themselves because they are the strongest... Gojo and Kashimo are good examples of being the strongest but not the perfect example.. The perfect example of being the strongest is Sukuna, He has the most overwhelming sense of self and the complete disregard to others in the entire series... He knows that absolute strength means being lonely and he embraces it.. As he said it's not his problem that others can't measure up to him and he also doesn't care about understanding others as he says to Yuji that it's not his problem that others are weak, how can a creature that falls apart in touch can always say that it wants to be happy. This is a twisted fate JJK: The weak will always find many things to be happy with but will not be able to achieve it because they are weak and the strongest will find happiness in nothing but dying giving their in fighting the stronger one... In short one can never achieve true happiness in the JJK world... And Sukuna is the only one to know this, understand this, and still doesn't care... He deems love and happiness to be worthless, he only cares about himself and nothing else, not even his happiness or doesn't need others to satisfy him... A complete overwhelming sense of self and a complete disregard to everything and all, A natural calamity... That's who Sukuna is, that's the true representation of "The Strongest" in the JJK world... His mentality and philosophy is the one that the JJK world follows, his principle is the one that every sorcerer needs to follow to become the strongest and that's what they follow, even Gojo and Kashimo became the strongest due to their selfishness which is Sukuna's philosophy.. Although JJK has many inspirations from Buddhism, it is the complete opposite of it.. Unlike Buddhism which teaches 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚕𝚎𝚝𝚎 𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚏𝚕𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜 as it's enlightenment, JJK teaches 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚕𝚎𝚝𝚎 𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚏𝚒𝚜𝚑𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜 ad enlightenment... The physical embodiment of this if Sukuna.. Gojo and Kashimo and themselves because they are the strongest whilst Sukuna is the strongest because he is Sukuna... Unlike many other Villians who have a particular goal to reach and plan alot to achieve it, Sukuna doesn't have any goal and even if he desires anything, he doesn't need to plan anything cause he can just take it if he wants... He is Just THAT STRONG to do whatever he wants, a true representation of the term "THE STRONGEST"
Ngl, Hundred's videos really made Gojo my favourite character in the series. The way the characters are broken, their parallels and dynamics explored, and the profound points consistently made just put you among the best creators in the fandom imo.
@@senjusan6359 My guy, I didn't say it made me understand. It's the same reason why we watch analysis videos in general, we want to see alternative perspectives from others. You can't say that you understand every nuance in a given story, we all live different lives and thus can relate a story to different events in our lives. Meaning me and you will not have the same understanding of a given narrative. I understood Gojo, but Hundred made me more appreciative of him through his unique takes on the JJK characters.
@@senjusan6359 elitist perspective tbh, why can't we just understand things as we want? some read jjk for fun, and these analysis videos help them gain more insight and view things that, due to their intentions, they missed. There is no "one way" of reading things, and media is there for people to interpret in different ways without divulging into elitist mentality which only feeds your ego.
@@senjusan6359 facts. gojo fantards be talking about how gojo is the strongest all the time. they only cared about him winning then coming here to pretend like oh gojo is more than just his strength. hypocrites. the amount of death threats i see being sent to gege everyday is ridiculous.
I couldn't agree more to be honest. Man has extremely high quality, thorough content and this video is one of those videos that display all of that. Became one of the creators that I get hyped for when seeing they made an upload
Gojo's entire point of living was to make sure that the future generations will preserve balance in the world, and he succeeded. His death was perfect, as now we see Yuji carry his torch
Hundred and Weeb are my go-to JJK guys - THE guys, imo. Others are phenomenal and cover some wonderful topics and have have great content, but these 2 seem to really *get* and love JJK beyond it being the current most popular manga/anime series
Great video! Ugh there is so much to Gojo’s character that it makes me so sad we didn’t get more of him - more interactions with the students, Megumi, Yuta, and Yuji especially - all kids he’s saved. I really want to see the younger generation carry on his legacy and dreams
Same! To this day I am bothered 236 Gojo didnt mention _anything_ about his students. Only Megumi but that was a whole different thing with his dad not even about his well being or saving him. That's the only thing that make his death speech sus to me. We will see 👀
@@SemekiIzuio Ahh exactly! I was so upset about that - Gojo cared about his students way more than that, but he's out here waxing poetic about SUKUNA of all people? I'm okay with him being happy to be with his friends again, happy to have died fighting his hardest, but really expected at least some regret or concern for those he's left behind.
@@Pizzelle lol "waxing poetics" Alot of people hated 261 but I really enjoyed it because we got to see Gojo and his students more especially Yuuta ofc but Maki Toge Panda waiting for him was also important. I hope we get more flashbacks regarding that. At this point I'm convinced Gojo was gai for Geto and are happily ever after. Cause there was nothing Gojo said about anyone or anything, not his students well being not Megumi being half dead not the world ending yet not a single thought goes by his head without mentioning or regarding something with Geto lol alas we will see
Yeah I agree. I think Gege drifted his character more away from being involved with students, which is a shame he couldn't get much meaningful moments with them prior to Sukuna fight before he got killed off after how long he was gone and yeah, I just wish there was a bit more closure on that front for his character conclusion beside being so centric on Sukuna.
The pick on how Gojo answered to Kenjaku's and Mahito's debate, was something I haven't seen before. Gojo was bored by the conversation, because he already knew the answer: Gojo's technique had always defined him, one half being of the body (Eyes) and other the soul (limitless).
His soul later recognised the bits of Geto that were in the body. While his eyes only saw the body, the part of Gojo that was his soul, knew this was not Geto in control. He called to the part of Geto still in there, because Gojo had already figured the answer to the questions Kenjaku and Mahito had just started asking.
Gojo was never seen as a person but a tool to win because of his strength, he saw how the jjk world was ruthless and would do anything to keep balance, it got his friend riko killed, it drove his bestie geto over the edge. And he didn’t want kids like yuta and Yuji to be killed and have their youths taken away from them. He wanted to change the broken system and see the next generation make that change and surpass him. He succeeded, he raised students that surpassed him and can change the system. He was a really well written character too bad Gege hated this dude
Bro your videos are legit the greatest story analysis videos I’ve ever seen. You give precise and accurate statements about the dynamics and possibilities of JJK that is seriously on par with Leutin09, the greatest Warhammer 40k lore TH-camr of the entire fandom. I’m watching all of your videos from now on and I really hope to see you explore other mangas and stories. I’d love to hear your interpretation of the entire one piece story if you ever get the chance. Definitely subscribing!!
the most interesting thing is that ideologically, gojo has already proven his point that cultivating sorcerers that fight together can be as powerful as a sorcerer who has shed their humanity to be powerful. sukuna keeps uraume around because they’re able to cook people pretty well. that IS teamwork. even if it isn’t as blatant as a yuuji + todo combo, or for a reason as small and simple as cooking human beings, i believe it proves a point
Especially since Sukuna had to rely on the work and assistance of multiple people to get to this point. From Jogo giving Yuji fingers to Geto helping him with the Bath, he had no shortage of teammates and helpers along the way.
@@justme22154 Kind of proves how flawed the system was from the beginning. The "good" part of JJK society considered only one guardian, only one strongest "Gojo" that can handle all and is the focal point. Other potential characters like Yuta and Yuji are not relevant since they have Gojo, thus can be killed for the effort it takes to raise them. Sukuna on other hand gives his everything to be strong and I mean everything. He is the type to do anything if it works for him, which makes him the antithesis and also the biggest challenge to JJK's "good" society's approach of making only one strongest and waiting for them. This is also kind of why Gojo lost. He is the only one fighting here, with little assist from others. Even worse, since he is the only one in fight and he always fights, all data to be on him Sukuna pretty much has it. On other hand, Sukuna used many people to come there, even using other curses and megumi in battle. Sukuna created more variables on his side while he knew of all on Gojo's side. Of course, Gojo being the madlad he is actually created more variables on spot but it is the first rule of battlefield, the more variables against you, the harder it is to win. Sukuna exploited that basic fact.
@@thealiker7777 I won't reply to everything here, but just know I read it all and fully agree. Also, wow, you make jumping people sound almost noble or something, lol.
@@justme22154 That wasn't my intention, I guess it came like that because "using everything to win" is a hero thing. But here I meant in the psychopathic way, nothing will stop them and you are guaranteed to be disgusted when you see their limits. Jumping people ain't noble but hey, if you survive, it is good enough. In a fight, that is all these type of characters will think on, not the Shonen hero shit I will break every bone in my body to stop you.
Gojo and Reinhard Van Astrea stand out to me as the perfect way to write a “The Strongest” character Because even with all their strength, they are human. And they can’t save everyone, not even those closest to themselves. They both are essentially weapons for those of higher station. I think for Reinhard the “IF” stories further flesh out the tragedy of his character “You are a hero, and a hero is all you can be” and it applies to Gojo as well, there is only one path forward for such a person. Both Reinhard and Gojo are referred to as “loved by the world” in one way or another. I just think it’s neat how similar they are
@@Nabbercusi think its because trying to defeat someone who is literally THE monster, cant be beaten by others who think theyre monsters too. its like there cant be more than 1 "The Strongest"
I don't think you went too deep into describing his character , but you described him pretty well. I really liked the begining sentance simply saying he is the strongest , the most simple thing about him and onpy after going into his real character. Gojo is incredibly hard to read through , not only because we don't know him but because he didn't know himself. Such strength was a curse to him , not even shoko understood him while geto left him behind simply because of strength. He is with no doubt my favorite character in JJK and the reason i enjoyed the show.
God DAMN bro your videos fucking HIT! Got me teared up when explaining the situation with Gojo and Geto and having the music in the background. Extremely well-done and very appreciated video man. Thank you for doing my Goat justice
3:08 damn gege really went out of his way to write this down 💀🤣 but fr tho it shows how lonely gojo was. Bro cant even enjoy hobbies because hes so fucking good at all of them none of them are fun. Thats genuinely miserable. What a sad existence. Imagine being so good at everything that the only enjoyment you get from life is nearly dying. As you are so good at everything else, you have no struggle, and thus cannot grow. What enjoyment is their in a life like that? No wonder gege smited him he was doing gojo a favor
He's probably the most realistically written OP character too. Realistic in a sense that despite being blessed with such power, it doesn't change the fact that he couldn't really make a difference with the power he held. He couldn't stop Geto from taking a dark path, which eventually lead to Kenjaku taking control of Geto body, he failed to kill Jogo, killed Hanami but got sealed regardless, and worst of all, he got killed by Sukuna. He's got so many more on screen failures compared to success if you really think about it. He probably achieved most of what he wanted for himself, but failed or just couldn't change the world Iike how he was expected to, which is realistic because the world doesn't just work like that, you can't just place an entire planet and it's population's well-being and future on one person's shoulders. Also, his birth literally caused curses to grow in strength. Can you imagine the chaos that was unfolding before he actually started taking action? It's worse when you bear in mind that the other special grade sorcerers we know of are either around his age or younger, meaning they either weren't alive before he was born, such as in the cases of Geto and Yuta, or young and inexperienced like Yuki. Ironically despite being the best "strongest" archetype, he's probably the least decorated and worst at his role. It sucks that we couldn't get more of Gojo. His death was almost perfect though, albeit ruined by Yuta using Kenjaku's CT to take control of his body. Such an interesting and tragic character.
Haven’t watched the video yet. But gojo literally was around not even the last two years of the 2010s before he got sealed.. I personally think he got more popular after like 2020 who cares
Very nice video Have a theory video up , that Gojo is entirely responsible and the very reason, Kenjaku chooses now for his age of sorcerers And sukuna is a back up plan if he cannot seal Gojo
"Unyielding and unstoppable, Satoru Gojo is the embodiment of boundless power and unwavering confidence, a sorcerer who stands as a beacon of hope and a force of nature."
Gojo being able to do anything he wants but still being unsuccessful at times really proves the point L of death note made. "No matter how talented you are, you can't change the world alone." But imo, his death was not poetic or meaningful. It seemed he died for the plot, only to prove a point. I think both Sukuna and Gojo should have ended in their fight. That's the point of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. Both cancel each other out
💯 till this very day, people only see gojo's strength. nobody sees his character, story and struggles. all these fake ass fans pretending like they understand gojo when i see countless amounts of death threats being sent to gege by gojo fans on a daily basis is disgusting
To add to what you said about Everyones sacrifice/ fight for a greater good helping others. You can use it to look at Kashimo, imo he was selfish, and as a result he died quickly and provided no help to the rest of the team
yooo hundred, please respond if you see this i wanted to know your thoughts on this, in the second opening of jjk there’s a cat with one blue eye, no one has ever said anything about it and idk if it could be another foreshadowing thing but what do you think
Ayt hear me out. Yuji only switched trained with Yuta after Yuta switched with Gojo. I strongly believe that Yujis domain will incorporate his brothers techniques as sure hits, similar to how Yuta can use any technique he has copied as the sure hit of his domain. Otherwise Yuji could simply just have switched trained with Hakari or Gojo to learn DE.
I agree and it would make sense for him to have his training with kusakabe as prep for the yuta switch since yuta had just came from training with gojo and now at a higher level
I was wondering when will you make a Review video on JJK Ch. 262. To be honest your videos literally have the essence and emotions of everything that is going around in JJK.
Here’s the thing that’s tough for me to abide when it comes to the World Cutting Slash: Do they set up that Sukuna was looking for this the whole fight and foreshadow its use? Yes, 100%. The technique is not an asspull. The problem is that the perception and speed of the technique are both well established to be within Gojo’s capabilities and yet they offscreen him to avoid explaining how it hit him regardless. All it would have taken was a panel or two of him seeing Sukuna prepare an attack and then thinking to himself that it’s “useless in the face of my Infinity” or something. But what we got instead in the chapter DIRECTLY before this was an explanation of the “spark” that ignites inside all sorcerers before a powerful technique (which Gojo easily would have seen with the Six Eyes) and then we followed this with Kashimo, Maki, Kusakabe, and Choso all seeing/dodging/deflecting the technique. Gojo got hoe’d and it’s most frustrating because it didn’t have to be that way. Narratively his death in that moment works but practicality is out the window. Especially when you consider the “you’d have to cut off my head to kill me” line from Hidden Inventory regarding the strength of his RCT
THIS! The execution was piss poor and the whole chapter 236 just tainted the character. Why would gojo not even mention his students in his last moments? And I disagree with you with the world cutting slash not being an asspull. It 100% is. A technique that cuts reality itself? What does that even mean? Sure the verbadum sounds cool and badass but does it make sense? Infinity creates a real physical gravitational barrier between gojo and the world. To be able to instantly cut through that means you could essentially open another dimension or some crazy similar concept. I think Sukuna is an amazing character. But when you have a character like sukuna, whose power have yet to be explained, you gotta proceed very carefully. I won’t give gege a pass to have sukuna do whatever he pleases just because technically gege could give him any power he wants. Sukuna could have perfectly won with all the buffs he was already given (mahoraga, megumi’s soul, ten shadows, his own CT and DE), so the world cutting slash was unnecessary and just dumb. It never even served anymore purpose and will most likely not ever again. Unless this was Gege’s way of acknowledging that it is truly impossible for sukuna to beat gojo in fairness, which I highly doubt, then chapter 236 for me is the worst chapter of the manga. Imagine yuuji doing a world cutting slash to kill sukuna.
@@DKing-du6xrit’s not a barrier in the way that you’re thinking. There isn’t a wall to get past, Gojo doesn’t have a bubble around him. As matter and objects move through space close to Gojo, the space between them essentially grows due to Gojo’s technique. So the logic that rather than sending an attack at Gojo (which can be slowed or stopped), Sukuna selects a target area that includes Gojo actually does make sense to me. I don’t have nearly as much an issue with that as I do pretty much every other thing regarding this interaction. Agreed that Gojo not mentioning his students and also suggesting that he wasn’t even close to beating him are wildly out of character for Gojo
Can't disagree on it not making sense logistically. The Six Eyes are too good to have missed that this slash was gonna be different, he can teleport away with ease if he does see it, and his RCT is too good for torso bisection to have worked. It was an awesome-looking scene, but it doesn't make sense in context. It's also kinda weird to me that he so badly wanted a way to get around Infinity when he'd presumably never have to deal with it again if he won. It's not like the majority of people or objects can handle his slashes anyway, so what's the point of making one that cuts through everything, especially if he has to change the future conditions of the technique just to land it on the one guy who warrants it? The slash isn't really necessary for anything outside of the narrative value of beating Gojo with his base strength.
@@justme22154all facts. Obviously regenerating his entire lower body may have taken extra time or required some help but it’s definitely within the realm of possibility As for the second point, I could see Sukuna just doing it as an achievement. He’s the GOAT specifically because he leaves no stone unturned and knows more about Jujutsu than anyone before or since. The element that doesn’t make as much sense is using it on other people, agreed. Though maybe there’s an argument for using it against those with RCT (Yuta) because the wound is harder to heal than typical slashes that start on the surface? That’s all I’ve got
One fix, The six eyes will always exist and especially if the merger is soon. Every 400 years or so is 6-Eyes and Limitless at the same time in the same person.
Its almost 5am and im too out of it to be eloquent, but i really gotta hand it to you for the conclusion you present around 11:55 . Ive grown to appreciate gojos death and character generally more and more over time, specifically because of the emotional responses it was designed to invoke in the reader and how they parallel and complement the thematic and emotional journey and development of gojo himself, but i hadnt considered that specific parallel at all. I think it does a lot to draw the reader into his own mindset, it sort of invites and implores the reader to relate to gojo. Theres a lot of poetry in the idea of us as readers being untouchable, unfathomable, elevated entities (literally in a dimensionsl sense, 2D3D) reaching across an impassable boundary (like gojos infinity) to connect with and understand him. By bringing us to a place where we connect to and understand him in the way he always wanted and need to be. As we enter his world by crossing the bsrrier that none of the people in the narrative universe were really able to do (in a very flatland-esque style - which fits perfectly with the physics and science of his abilities), we free him from the solitude imposed on him through his archetypal/narrative identity. That this is achieved through his death, and by a dimensional slash thst mirrors the whole process im yapping incoherently about, adds a whole lot of layers. And i yspped too much and got distracted from the additional points i was trying to build to. But i think im hitting that point in literary analysis where the line between justifiable analysis and bullshit reaching and extrapolation anyways Tldr, i definitely agree with the framing you present, and i really appreciate your insight, i think it opens up a lot of doors for recognizing and interpreting the poetry and depth intrinsic to geges writing. Thanks for the content, the analysis and structure are really well done as always 🙏
Great vid, I see gojo as a very responsible sorcerer, yeah sorcery is mostly talent but Gojo was gifted, giving him a special responsibility in many different aspects which is why he's so special so he worked hard. He covers a lot of ground in the sorcery world and with that responsibility there's a lot to carry that he's willing to carry. Haibara said it, he loves sorcery. He wants the next generation, the next hungry group of sorcerers to go out there and succeed this time and nobody would have to bear the responsibility alone like he did. Nobody will have to feel alone in death of being a sorcerer, giving meaning to sorcery itself, the meaning he and geto were looking for as teens. His story is amazing, he's the strongest because he's satoru gojo, wow gege
You seem to have such a good grasp on the relationship between Suguru and Gojo. That explanation of Gojo's restraint when they initially met in the street was actually beautiful
Not exactly, We’ve been pretty much told throughout the Gojo V Sukuna fight that Sukuna was looking for a way beyond infinity. Then, when Mahoraga hit Gojo with that slash attack, Sukuna had found it. Not a asspull but it was definitely a wack execution.
I think world cutting slash should've happened but not with a bullshit binding vow that changed nothing,I'd like to see Sukuna switch to Heian Form and the fight drags out a little more and then Sukuna does it The only problem is it would fuel even more arguements that Sukuna is a fraud by going "He needed 2 different bodies to beat Gojo"
seen as a monster but died as a human. the raw japanese wording of 236 emphasizes this fact 100 times over. sukuna said "you cleared my skies" says that out of everyone in the series he understood gojo the most and gojo managed to achieve his goal in the fight which wod be reaching sukuna. sukuna sees gojo for more than his power because he used gojos full name instead of his title in rhe world like many others did
Even Gojo haters cannot say otherwise, the best of JJK is obviously Gojo, then we have Geto, Nanami, Yuta, Choso but outside of them the rest of the cast is very mid or ordinary
“Are you the strongest because you’re Satoru Gojo or are you Satoru Gojo because you’re the strongest?” Every chapter that Quote gets more and more relevant and if Yuta doesn’t pull through, it’ll prove that He’s the Strongest because he’s Satoru Gojo.
Geto and Gojo were never equals can yall stop saying they were on the same level. Both of their fight's vs Toji perfectly shows us this. Geto wasn't even special grade back then he was a grade 1 sorcerer which are able to beat special grade curses but not special grade sorcerers.
Would have been even better had his death been properly executed and not just an asspull, which by the way only strengthens the idea that he could indeed not be beaten with regular means.
Btw I haven’t seen anyone talk about this but I’ve been thinking for a while now Yuta using unlimited void proves Sukuna always had the edge against Gojo, he literally just wanted to improve shrine - which was obvious, but with this new information it really highlights that Sukuna was never ever in any danger If Sukuna used Chimera Shadow Garden he would literally just make like 5 other Sukuna clones and overwhelm Gojo in the domain Or just make 5 mahoragas It really wasn’t even close
Sukuna didn’t use that domain because he would’ve killed gojo before being able to develop shrine Which is why he’s disappointed when gojo was about to die after the domain clashes He held back and gojo still almost died “You were painfully ordinary”
To me gojo wasn't very interesting until he died he was very cocky which got him killed and he very priorities the world instead of a good fight if he was really some savior he wouldn't have 1v1 Sukuna
@ first of all I did read the chapter goofball and I didn’t say he didn’t put up a good fight but that doesn’t mean much for the simple fact he could’ve actually taught them shit if you wanna be honest they learned in 1 month than gojo could ever teach and it showed when EVERYONE literally got a saiyan saga to buu saga zenkai boost
In my opinion, even if he is currently dead. Gojo is still the strongest. Sukuna only won because he used Mahoraga's adaptation to Infinity. Sukuna would lose if he didnt had Mahoraga Sukuna would lose if he didnt use Mahoraga's model world slash Sukuna would lose if he didnt use a binding vow to use the world slash with no requirements after Gojo used Hollow Purple Gojo was literally beating up Sukuna for the majority of the fight to the point he had to relay on the Ten Shadows, and Gojo was still beating up the man even at a 3v1. That just further cements on how strong Gojo actually is. It does make sense giving Sukuna the current title of the strongest because he is the one currently alive but I rest my case.
@YUJI--TDG Tbf i did mention it was still fair to give sukuna the strongest title. Even if sukuna goes all out, it wouldnt matter if he cant bypass Infinity. Thats why he relayed more on maho

He's a god to everyone but himself. Cool dilemma
Imagine if his character was well written too .
That's the principle of JJK world
We know that Kashimo went fighting strong people for his own satisfaction (selfishness) but how Gojo??
In his fight against Toji, after experiencing a near death experience, he got enlightened.
He came to understand the core of Jujutsu and fought Toji for his own satisfaction (selfishness) that's why he even says sorry to Amanai as he doesn't have any remorse for her death or any feelings as he feels
He alone is the honoured one,
A sentence one can say only when they have an overwhelming sense of self and complete disregard to others. He fought and killed Toji to find his own satisfaction,
But the tragedy of Gojo is that he himself doesn't know that he fought Toji for his own satisfaction, we will come to this part later cause this will play an important role in understanding Gojo's character
After killing Toji, he sees Geto his true friend and the one he sees as his equal
Gojo knows that he is not feeling anything and asks Geto what to do, Geto says he should not kill non-sorcerers as it's their duty, like he always thought..
Remember, Gojo always thought that sorcerers shouldn't save non-sorcerers cause they are weak but Geto is the one who believed that sorcerers exist to protect non-sorcerers
After that incident, Gojo went on to develop his CT to gain to satisfaction(selfishness) he felt fighting against Toji...
When Gojo looked dumb founded by this, Geto then asks the infamous question,
"Are you the strongest because you are Gojo Satoru, or are you Gojo Satoru because you are the strongest?"
Gojo not being able to understand both of these, he didn't do anything.
The answer to Geto's infamous question is this,
Gojo is 𝙶𝚘𝚓𝚘 𝚂𝚊𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚞 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚑𝚎 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚜𝚝...
Their identity revolves around them being the strongest and different from others.
Their only flaw is that they don't want to completely embrace this because they want to still be normal...
Gojo wants others to understand him,
Kashimo wants to understand others...
While they both know they can't, they don't know why??? They don't want to be lonely, the are afraid of loneliness
Gojo feared dying due to some disease and old age, without satisfying their loneliness while Kashimo literally died like that..
That's why they are themselves because they are the strongest...
Gojo and Kashimo are good examples of being the strongest but not the perfect example..
The perfect example of being the strongest is Sukuna,
He has the most overwhelming sense of self and the complete disregard to others in the entire series...
He knows that absolute strength means being lonely and he embraces it.. As he said it's not his problem that others can't measure up to him and he also doesn't care about understanding others as he says to Yuji that it's not his problem that others are weak, how can a creature that falls apart in touch can always say that it wants to be happy.
This is a twisted fate JJK:
The weak will always find many things to be happy with but will not be able to achieve it because they are weak and the strongest will find happiness in nothing but dying giving their in fighting the stronger one...
Gojo and Kashimo and themselves because they are the strongest
whilst
Sukuna is the strongest because he is Sukuna...

You are not paying enough attention during JJK reading if you needed this video to understand that
@@senjusan6359 My guy, I didn't say it made me understand.

@@Pizzelle lol "waxing poetics"
Alot of people hated 261 but I really enjoyed it because we got to see Gojo and his students more especially Yuuta ofc but Maki Toge Panda waiting for him was also important.
Stand proud hundred, you’re the best jjk content creator
your videos keep NAILING Gojo's characterization how I view it. I feel like everyone keeps missing these points and it drives me crazy. so thank you.
Gojo has a Kenpachi mindset ... love the guy.

the most interesting thing is that ideologically, gojo has already proven his point that cultivating sorcerers that fight together can be as powerful as a sorcerer who has shed their humanity to be powerful. sukuna keeps uraume around because they’re able to cook people pretty well. that IS teamwork. even if it isn’t as blatant as a yuuji + todo combo, or for a reason as small and simple as cooking human beings, i believe it proves a point

Every time I watch one of your Gojo videos it makes me miss his character all the more. Gojo is him he is that guy. Excellent video 👏
Gojo and Reinhard Van Astrea stand out to me as the perfect way to write a “The Strongest” character
Because even with all their strength, they are human.
I just think it’s neat how similar they are
This was such a great video I'm speechless.

Jesus, I just remembered how Toji came back by recreating his body with a cursed technique despite having a different brain in there
He's probably the most realistically written OP character too.
My man, you are THE jjk youtuber, all your videos are so on point, but this one man, you outdid yourself here
Haven’t watched the video yet. But gojo literally was around not even the last two years of the 2010s before he got sealed.. I personally think he got more popular after like 2020 who cares
Very nice video
Have a theory video up , that Gojo is entirely responsible and the very reason, Kenjaku chooses now for his age of sorcerers
And sukuna is a back up plan if he cannot seal Gojo
"Unyielding and unstoppable, Satoru Gojo is the embodiment of boundless power and unwavering confidence, a sorcerer who stands as a beacon of hope and a force of nature."
you really go in depth it’s insane
Gojo being able to do anything he wants but still being unsuccessful at times really proves the point L of death note made.
"No matter how talented you are, you can't change the world alone."
But imo, his death was not poetic or meaningful. It seemed he died for the plot, only to prove a point. I think both Sukuna and Gojo should have ended in their fight. That's the point of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. Both cancel each other out
Great video Hundred!❤

Ayt hear me out. Yuji only switched trained with Yuta after Yuta switched with Gojo. I strongly believe that Yujis domain will incorporate his brothers techniques as sure hits, similar to how Yuta can use any technique he has copied as the sure hit of his domain. Otherwise Yuji could simply just have switched trained with Hakari or Gojo to learn DE.
I agree and it would make sense for him to have his training with kusakabe as prep for the yuta switch since yuta had just came from training with gojo and now at a higher level

I think we will see in detail how Gojo got hit with the world cutting slash. Sukuna will most likely use it again on Yuta.
It would be nice to learn a bit more about the death wombs because what if yuji actually has more cts then just bm and shrine
are you using Demon's Souls Nexus audio as background sound ?? awesome if i'm right.
Here’s the thing that’s tough for me to abide when it comes to the World Cutting Slash:
Do they set up that Sukuna was looking for this the whole fight and foreshadow its use?
Obviously regenerating his entire lower body may have taken extra time or required some help but it’s definitely within the realm of possibility
As for the second point, I could see Sukuna just doing it as an achievement.
@@brandonphipps_PP Fair enough. He is definitely the type to do it just because he can.
hundred is without a doubt the best at these analysis videos
I like watching ur videos while eating :)
One fix, The six eyes will always exist and especially if the merger is soon. Every 400 years or so is 6-Eyes and Limitless at the same time in the same person.
The love Kakashi should've gotten
Can anyone drop the chapter where it is said that Gojo is vastly stronger than all the previous six eyes holder.
But i think im hitting that point in literary analysis where the line between justifiable analysis and bullshit reaching and extrapolation anyways
Tldr, i definitely agree with the framing you present, and i really appreciate your insight, i think it opens up a lot of doors for recognizing and interpreting the poetry and depth intrinsic to geges writing. Thanks for the content, the analysis and structure are really well done as always 🙏

JJK was made in 2018 🤔
So what about the thumbnail
Wake up bae hundred just posted
He literally the new goku, got people crashing out irl😂he’s goated aye I didn’t expect him to come into existenceeither but we here
boy don't you compare Gojo to a mf thats been running game for 40 plus years man....
Na I hate Goji’s death. If he was gonna die I needed more then an offscreen death
What's the song at 12:50?
What's the background music in the intro?
Wipe it up after you’re done (I’m getting a Gojo tattoo)

Hey bro would love a video on Yuji mental state right now? From end of shibuya to now and any thoughts for the future

World Cutting Slash was an ASSPULL... 😂
World cutting slash wasn’t asspull, the binding vow to use it without hand sign was
I think world cutting slash should've happened but not with a bullshit binding vow that changed nothing,I'd like to see Sukuna switch to Heian Form and the fight drags out a little more and then Sukuna does it
The only problem is it would fuel even more arguements that Sukuna is a fraud by going "He needed 2 different bodies to beat Gojo"
No it wasn't
It isn't Lmao
seen as a monster but died as a human. the raw japanese wording of 236 emphasizes this fact 100 times over. sukuna said "you cleared my skies" says that out of everyone in the series he understood gojo the most and gojo managed to achieve his goal in the fight which wod be reaching sukuna. sukuna sees gojo for more than his power because he used gojos full name instead of his title in rhe world like many others did
real and true
Because of blue eyes
Iconic not yet
Silencio, ya comenzó mi novela ☕
Even Gojo haters cannot say otherwise, the best of JJK is obviously Gojo, then we have Geto, Nanami, Yuta, Choso but outside of them the rest of the cast is very mid or ordinary
Hundred your so handsome
We got a 💯 simp before GTA 6
KitKat
A great character
Calling him Kakashi sounds ridiculous now
Every 400 years the eyes appear I didn't know that
Last time it was 400 years ago so...but it's not stated that it happens only after 400 years
basically what he said ^
Gojo still the goat
Gojo vs Jogo and later the disaster curses just shows the gap in strength.
yo hundred send me ur location!!!!
He "was the strongest"
“Are you the strongest because you’re Satoru Gojo or are you Satoru Gojo because you’re the strongest?”
Every chapter that Quote gets more and more relevant and if Yuta doesn’t pull through, it’ll prove that He’s the Strongest because he’s Satoru Gojo.
Geto and Gojo were never equals can yall stop saying they were on the same level. Both of their fight's vs Toji perfectly shows us this. Geto wasn't even special grade back then he was a grade 1 sorcerer which are able to beat special grade curses but not special grade sorcerers.
they were on the same level
They were on the same level before Gojo learned hollow purple, rct, red
Would have been even better had his death been properly executed and not just an asspull, which by the way only strengthens the idea that he could indeed not be beaten with regular means.
Btw
I haven’t seen anyone talk about this but I’ve been thinking for a while now
Yuta using unlimited void proves Sukuna always had the edge against Gojo, he literally just wanted to improve shrine - which was obvious, but with this new information it really highlights that Sukuna was never ever in any danger
If Sukuna used Chimera Shadow Garden he would literally just make like 5 other Sukuna clones and overwhelm Gojo in the domain
Or just make 5 mahoragas
It really wasn’t even close
Sukuna didn’t use that domain because he would’ve killed gojo before being able to develop shrine
Which is why he’s disappointed when gojo was about to die after the domain clashes
He held back and gojo still almost died
“You were painfully ordinary”
To me gojo wasn't very interesting until he died he was very cocky which got him killed and he very priorities the world instead of a good fight if he was really some savior he wouldn't have 1v1 Sukuna
@@ZayDeyknow it was because he was fighting alone did he put up a fight against sukuna even yuta said it read the chapter again
Not 1% perfect compared to Madarame Baku
Brother, the 2nd strongest 😂
Nah, that's cap
Yup but he probably means the way he calls himself the strongest of the current era.
@@psychic800 thank you for the common sense brother
@@1hundred1 🤝
Leave it brain dead Sukuna stans to come into party and ruin it for everyone with their obnoxious, 80 IQ statements
Stop saying he’s the strongest, he definitively not the strongest that title belongs to Sukuna. No. 1 Gojo glazer
2 teacher classroom comment
Bruh what u ain’t even making sense
In my opinion, even if he is currently dead.
Gojo is still the strongest. Sukuna only won because he used Mahoraga's adaptation to Infinity.
Sukuna would lose if he didnt had Mahoraga
Sukuna would lose if he didnt use Mahoraga's model world slash
Sukuna would lose if he didnt use a binding vow to use the world slash with no requirements after Gojo used Hollow Purple
Gojo was literally beating up Sukuna for the majority of the fight to the point he had to relay on the Ten Shadows, and Gojo was still beating up the man even at a 3v1.
That just further cements on how strong Gojo actually is.
It does make sense giving Sukuna the current title of the strongest because he is the one currently alive but I rest my case.
@@Hal-fi2kb Lol 😂 Gojo is no more than a feast for sukuna going all out. Also he means the strongest from current era
@YUJI--TDG Tbf i did mention it was still fair to give sukuna the strongest title.
Even if sukuna goes all out, it wouldnt matter if he cant bypass Infinity. Thats why he relayed more on maho
Yeah he will be remembered as the "strongest".....oh wait nvm 😂😂😂
Nah he is a wannabe Dante who is hated by his own creator
Gege loves Sukuna and he is a super boring villain.
All time great to All time dead 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's a lot of characters in this series being dead
