I just love how Furuta is barely in the story for like 70% of it, but he is somehow involved in everything, the clowns, the V, the Washuu, the doctor, Kaneki, Reze, you name it. He is somehow the culmination of all of the ghoul world, lurking, sneaking, always in the background, never in the forefront.
Don’t really like that tbh. It’s like AFO and being involved in like 80% of the happenings in the series. Just makes the world feel small for no good reason except genius villain be geniusin’ Though i say this as a Furuta lover
@@unioneye1087 I get where you are coming from, but Furuta doesnt feel like that to me for some reason. AFO and other "I was behind everything" villains it does get kind of annoying sometimes, but I guess the differece is that Furuta is actually really weak for most of the series and has to make these connections and plans to get... well anywhere, but sure, sometimes it does feel a little convenient that most of everything went the way he wanted to.
@@saawysorenson4585 It’s just a personal thing for me though, because apart from some other minor pet peeves, Furuta is easily one of my favorite villains in manga, i love that his reason for everything was something so simple yet devastating like his life expectancy.
If there is one Manga that deserves a brotherhood-style reboot in the hands of a studio that will treat the source material with the respect and reverence it deserves, it's Tokyo Ghoul.
I love how Furuta only appears once in the first series as a faceless ghoul in the gourmet arc, and then he just randomly shows up as the main antagonist in re.
He also appeared after 11th Ward Extermination Arc, he was talking to Nicko about the 'One-eyed Ghoul King' to which Nicko corrects him by telling him that the 'One-eyed King' is actually a human.
Just rewatched tokyo ghoul skipping season 2 couldnt bare with the adaptation but knowing what happened in the manga seeing season 1 , 3 , 4 i loved kanekis development i resonated with alot he chose a path of seeing beauty in his life while Furuta looked at it as meaningless even with revenge it wasn’t enough 2 sides of the same coin loved this breakdown :)
Heya man, to be honest ive known about tokyo ghoul for a pretty long time, but ive never actually read it, until i watched your video about kishou arima, that truly intrigued me. So i wana thank you for introducing me into this wonderful series
Thoughts on their final fight being a look into the mind of Sui Ishida? Its interesting how they're both sick of each other, how Furuta put in so much effort only to be unhappy, and thinking of a much more simple life than the complexity of his schemes. How Kaneki is mostly silent throughout the exchanges and continues pushing forward. I think there's alot to be said about how this fight is Ishida talking to themselves in a way, and to their characters as well. Almost like the way people have analyzed Ultron and Visions final scene together (another great analysis of two characters). Great content, I know there probably isnt much to cover in TG left, nor does it get the views your channel normally does, but im happy to see this stuff be covered in general.
Finally! Ive been waiting on a video over tokyo ghoul forever! 😂. Even though i loved JJK(even if i got the spoilers before you i would still wait on your video to drop to get your take on them)and watching your take on the gojo/sakuna situation. Ive been missing these in-depth tokyo ghoul videos and this one was 🔥 🔥
Hey @Hundred great vid. Requesting that you reupload a stream you did a lil while back on jjk. You said in the video you’d make it unlisted, but it was highkey a great vid and I was hoping to rewatch. I wanna say it was within the last 5 chapters.
Ishida completely messed up Amon's role in :re. It's such a shame, he was one of the most anticipated characters in the timeskip and his role in the story was so promising. Unfortunate.
nvm found it after about an hour of searching, Piano collections Nier Gestalt and Replicant by square enix, composed by keiichi okabe, and more importantly this specific piano arrangement is by masato Koda

Love the Tokyo ghoul content, beautiful series
I finished Tokyo ghoul tonight, and am gonna say it " its a Masterpiece "
This guy is Tokyo Ghoul’s strongest soldier. Every year I pray for a reboot so others can see what the rest of us saw with this manga.
Literally the first manga I've ever read.

oh it's back, I was wondering where it gonr
Sweet video oml
never forgiving studio perriot for turning all this into hot topic material
This vid is my late Christmas present🙏🏿💯
Always said it. Furuta is the best written villain in fiction. So well written that he is almost the protagonist of his manga.
he's different man not appreciated enough
If the ending was different then he would've been the Protagonist ngl 😂
Imma read this now🔥
Furuta might be one of the best antagonists ever written
Tokoyo ghoul will always be in my top 3
He’s blessed us with peak😭😭
When I first read TG I thought Furuta was just annoying, but he did end becoming one of my favorites after several readings.
