to my ears: the AT-XP3 is warmer, perhaps a little more subdued whereas the OM Pro S definitely has a slightly more punchy sound in the mids, if a little more clinical sound. I prefer the AT-XP3. Great video has definitely helped me make up my mind, thank you
Good video to stumble across since I'm looking at some of these styli. Right away I could tell the AT sounded "flatter" than the OM Pro, which I preferred. And yes, the OM looks ridiculous on a typical home turntable setup lol. Any suggestions for an AT that has a comparable profile to the OM Pro? Setup: Hitachi HT-460 Direct Drive, Ortofon headshell, Grado Prestige Green 3 cartridge/stylus. I previously used an AT3600L budget cartridge which sounded fabulous but longevity was terrible. The Grado is nice but the output is VERY quiet.

I am just getting into this sort of thing and boy cartridges are hard to compare just looking at specs. Thank you for making this video!
Great video - wanna see the ATXP7, Orttofon VNL and the V95ML vs Shure/Jico. Thats my final list haha
