Got the same type, Ortofon Qbert OM carts, those are great. I got Jico's on my M44-7's and mine perform good now, but it took a couple weeks of regular mixing and scratching to break them in, so they wouldn't skip.
I put the screws on top so when it comes time to use the Phono Cartridge Stylus Alignment Protractor Tool to align the cartridge, it's easier to tighten down. Also, I'd use a Stylus Needle Pressure Gauge Scale to verify the downforce; Those dial indicators are just a rough approximation and are usually off by .5-1 gram. Verify the gram scale with a known mass.
Hi, I own a pair of Qbert Concord but they are not so stable, they tend to skip on quick scratches. Are the Om Better than Concord in terms of stability? Thank you!
I have the ortofon Concord Q Bert give it time to break in I had the same problem until I let it sit on the record for week n scratch with them then they will not skip 👍😎

in my opinion the om seem to track better do to weight of head shell .. but i have heard great things about the ortofon VNL as well...

I've got the ortofon VNL and it's si cool,before i have Shure M44-7,they are the same,very good for scratching !

i would say the VNL would be i but better .... i will buy some soon to test them fully ...
