Note: only obvious printed 'fake' notes, as on obvious plain, common stock paper, used within motion pictures, etc. are permitted; else illegal for @EmeliaHartford; Certainly this actual RCR NASCAR Dodge Intrepid from 2002 is a unique, special, powerful, useful vehicle with the appraised value, along with its much higher than purchase price. Seemingly, since it actually is fully functional, operational, it could be used to race in some "Vintage Racing" , perhaps others including road racing, TransAm or other formats, venues as is or with whichever is necessary. This is something to consider more seriously if Emelia would be interested to use her driving talents, training, further development, enjoyment, etc. Certainly there are many other former, actual NASCAR vehicle frames/chassis which can be purchased, along with the desired drive train for whichever vehicle use, intents, purposes for much less than the $28k purchase price of this specific vehicle to be used with the intended NASCAR "SuperBird" Richard Petty, replica build, desire. As Mitchell Stapleton has posted conversations with others on his channel that race various "Vintage Racing" NASCAR vehicles, and with his current 2003 Monte Carlo also, such former vehicles can be purchased for a fraction of the purchase price of this RCR Dodge Intrepid and perhaps one that is actually with the same size of the "SuperBird" or "Daytona", then with all included components will still be much less cost, seemingly more total work involved, but also still retaining this more valuable RCR NASCAR Intrepid. Perhaps You, Emelia, have already considered this within Your thinking thoughts, determination with the appropriate information, knowledge. @zCustomCoD; certainly to many of us, it does seem to be a waste in monetary value, along with uniqueness to use this actual RCR NASCAR Intrepid for the intended use, whether the purchase price $28k, more so $66.1k appraised value, along with the intended use, desired "Superbird" replica vehicle. But, as stated, explicitly, the choice,s selection, preference are entirely within Emelia Hartford, as with each vehicle, build, purchase, property All The Best, Sincerely
Just my opinion but I myself would have a chassis built for the superbird, and I would just pull the motor and trans out of the Nascar. That way if you ever wanted to put the Nascar back together you could. Once you cut it up it's never going to be the same again.
you know how much money it would cost to have a chassis built for it? and all the other parts like engine, trans, rear end, suspension etc. it would be like 150k+ easily.
@@Stackali I'm pretty sure a Roadster Shop chassis is no where even close to 150k. And a Roadster Shop or any other top chassis manufacturer will come with all the suspension, rear end, brakes and brake lines and motor-mounts to the motor you specify to them. Breaks my heart to think that a genuine Cup car from the glory days of NASCAR is gonna just be cut up...that car is a piece of NASCAR history. it wouldnt be hard to contact Hendrick, Childress, Gibbs, or any other Cup team owner (SHR is ceasing operations after this season so probably a really good deal to be found there) to get a cheap used chassis without any real history (most of the bigger teams keep their most historic chassis as museum pieces). You could sell the intrepid to a collector for that appraised value to help fund its replacement which you could then cut up for the superbird.
I'd go a different route and buy a chassis made for these cars they can be basically bolted in... 10x easier and will save the nascar. You could build a better suited engine for it also.
On the one hand, I hate to see the car cut up. On the other hand, the chassis/motor/drive train would cost more than that to build for the Superbird project. Love the project!
Ernie Elliott built the baddess ask engines ever in NASCAR I watch Bill in his Ford Thunderbird from 2 laps down pass and win at Talladega. Ernie Elliott is the reason for restrictor plates. What a find. Side note: not a Ford guy but was a big Ernie Elliott fan, he built some bad ask engines.
Actually the reason for restrictor plates is when Bobby Allison got up in the fence at Talladega in 1987 (2 years after Bill's run from 2 laps down). They couldn't get liability insurance after that Allison crash unless they slowed the cars down. Simple as that.
@@EclecticHillbilly Yes, that is when Nascar made it official but before, because of Bill's Ernie built motor they made Ford redesign the Thunderbird to dirty the air, we saw that on big track when Bill could not draft, then they made Ernie share his secrets because they were whipping even Ford factory engines...then they restricted the use of the Cleveland heads by that time other manufacturers knew how Ernie got more power and that is why speeds increased. Yes, Bobby Allison got airborne but it was because they had Ernie Elliot technology to get more power out of their cars.

The idea of using a NASCAR chassis is really 😎, but like others are saying keep it whole and find some NASCAR parts for the build…but then again it’s kind of the essence of a race build to modify and make something awesome and fast!
Any old NASCAR chassis you can find that is centered and designed for road race tracks are worth way more because they are ready to go for vintage road race events. 90% of these old cars are sold as rollers with no engine trans. Usually no shocks and brakes removed. All those things are parts that the teams can re-use.
Chop Chop Chop LOL If it makes you feel better appraisals are always almost double. Because the insurance company is going to screw you anyway unless you go with Hagerty. That might be the best choice. But at least you get to see your old car do cool things and not sit in somebody's collection.

The tube chassis in a NASCAR is designed to be driven left and to NASCAR rules. It's not idea for street car and/or straight line driving/racing. Get a custom chassis built and/or use QA1 kits combined with a custom tube frame built. You might also want to ask him to give you a value of the car without its engine, transmission and rear axle. Yup but what do you expect from a blonde 😂😂😂
PLEASE do a trackday in the Nascar before you cut it up! You can pick a track with plenty of run-off & no concrete walls... just the on-boards will be epic...
Really, she can just race it even if it has concrete walls. If she hits the wall, it's not going to do much to the chassis, just the body panels which are gonna get cut up anyway.
Better idea..... Don't chop it up or take parts off it.
Yes this. Do it please. Let her rip around a track.
Like to see that happen.
There is absolutely no such thing as a “nascar” NASCAR is a sanctioning body not a car
@@chrislovett6120 Picky. A car built specifically & uniquely to the rules package of a particular race series for the purpose of competing in that series IS, colloquially, 'one of those cars'. A British Touring Car, a DTM car, an Indy Car, or... a NASCAR.
Good find E! Don't cut the car up pleeeeeese. That's a jem in the rough. Find another donor for the bird. Fantastic vid.
60 grand and your gonna cut it up. just remember the second that cutter touches the chassis goes from 66k to scape metal value
She has a license to print money with the success of her channel + sponsors. She really doesnt have the same worries as most of her audience.
@@StreetTruckinTitan who still uses printed "Promissory Notes" any more ?! 😲
Emelia has shown purchase of a vehicle previously for her friend Sandy, primarily for his wife, with transferring what appeared to be "greenback" US FederalReserve "Promissory Note" US$ bills.
Certainly Emelia Hartford has the entire personal choice with each, every, all she does with each, every, all vehicles, property, most certainly herself, per personal desires, choices, needs, goals, benefits, etc.
P.S. Note: only obvious printed 'fake' notes, as on obvious plain, common stock paper, used within motion pictures, etc. are permitted; else illegal for
@EmeliaHartford; Certainly this actual RCR NASCAR Dodge Intrepid from 2002 is a unique, special, powerful, useful vehicle with the appraised value, along with its much higher than purchase price.
But, as stated, explicitly, the choice,s selection, preference are entirely within Emelia Hartford, as with each vehicle, build, purchase, property
All The Best, Sincerely

I agree....DO NOT CHOP UP THAT CAR !!!! It is toooooo perfect for that !!!
Noooooo! Don't cut it up! Sell it, use the profit to get an even better base for the superbird!
BTW she already has the motor and transmission.
This made me happy, love it when good things happens to good people ❤️🙏🏼
Dont cut that nascar up !!! That car is badass !

Cleetus McFarland started the TH-camr NASCAR craze and I'm here for it! I hope for a crossover episode!
Kick ask!
@@dirtdawgz8326 LMAO!
Wow you have double the price. That was sweet, keep it up Emilia 👍👍

Ernie Elliot has built stock cars for years. He’s a legend for building cars for his brother Bill helping him win a championship. You have a legacy car there.
There’s no way I would ever cut that one up !!
Id be checking out some of the NASCAR Teams over around charlotte nc!
I bet you can get what you need over there rather than cutting up that one

The idea of using a NASCAR chassis is really 😎, but like others are saying keep it whole and find some NASCAR parts for the build…but then again it’s kind of the essence of a race build to modify and make something awesome and fast!
I would keep it as it is.
Great result.
😎😎😎👍👍👍
Any old NASCAR chassis you can find that is centered and designed for road race tracks are worth way more because they are ready to go for vintage road race events. 90% of these old cars are sold as rollers with no engine trans. Usually no shocks and brakes removed. All those things are parts that the teams can re-use.
Guess we should have held firm at 30 😢 😂
Chop Chop Chop LOL
If it makes you feel better appraisals are always almost double. Because the insurance company is going to screw you anyway unless you go with Hagerty. That might be the best choice. But at least you get to see your old car do cool things and not sit in somebody's collection.
I'm thinking y'all still did good. Some extra exposure never hurts. Probably some more subs for your channel (me included). Of course the $2,000 could have been for the case of wine... Great content though!
Emelia Hartford Absolutely incredible Video I think it's awesome that Curt appraised your 2002 Dodge Intrepid Nascar Cup Car for 66.1k and I can't wait to your Plymouth Superbird rebuild

So sorry, congrats on your success.

The channel kind of chronicals her life. She came up existing on food stamps and is now worth somewhere in the range of 5 to 10 mil. Ernie Elliott is Bill Elliott's brother, one fine engine builder
I wonder if you could build based on the Superbird platform instead of a rebody and keep the Nascar intact. It’s a valuable car to cut up and a resto-modded Superbird is cooler than a rebodied one stuck on a Nascar chassis I think. As always love your content!
Dang Emilia I thought youd know that its an Dodge Intrepid from the front end of the car ! You can look at the body and tell its not a Charger ! Lol
That's what I said.. 😂 it doesn't Even look like a charger..
It doesn’t look like a Dodge nose at all. It looks like a Monte Carlo nose.

Congrats on the $66.1k value! Still can't wait to see the 1970 Richard Petty NASCAR Superbird replica build! I'd still cut this car up because at the end of the day a youtube series with a NASCAR chassis and drivetrain will be more interesting than just a 1970 Superbird with a boring Hellcat motor that so many would do.
Then history is gone forever.
@@jimmylarge1148 what history? It's a road course car that never won any road courses in NASCAR. It's a dodge body with a chevy front end added to it so it's not even an authentic cup car at this point. She spent $28k on a chassis and drivetrain to put into a NASCAR Super Bird Petty replica that she can still race on the track. She's using everything besides the body that isn't the body with a history. since it's not orginal.

Emelia is my type chick down to earth and into cars natural beauty at its finest💯
Amelia- smart play here is to flip the NASCAR and take the money to put whatever power train you want in the Superbird. Pity to cut up a valuable piece of history.

Wow happy for your purchase. Me being skeptical on Marketplace items, I am surprised and happy for you! Awesome deal.
Look I'm Australian and see you have a piece of your nation's racing history and believe if you cut that car up you're about to alienate yourself from a huge group of your followers. again cut it don't cut I care not content either way. i was thinking the same thing. if she cuts up that mint piece of nascar history for that fake superbird then alot of people will be disappointed in her. now it is her car and she can do as she wants with it. i just dont think its a smart move.

I love the idea of what you are wanting to do but personally I would keep the nascar together and look for a better doner car
It's a Cup car or stock car. Nascar is the organization that puts on the races. DUH. Next, she will be buying an NHRA for drag racing. DOH.
haha I love triggering people so if I win the lotto I'm buying one of the NASCARs online. Garage Kept Motors has a 2012 NASCAR for sale right now

Are we calling them "nascars" now?
It's a stock car to me.
I was a big Sterling Marlin / Dodge fan when that car was being raced… and I was always a big Petty fan as well. Cool as it is to create a Petty replica with a “modern” (ha ha) chassis and Ernie Elliott P7R5 smallblock Mopar, I’d much rather see it kept in Sterling colors and preserve it as Dodge’s last run in NASCAR before it finally devolved into nothing but a spec engine series. Can’t go “wrong” either way.
Uninformed people, You can watch a NASCAR race but you can never buy or drive a NASCAR.
Bs! There are a few older cup cars out there in the hands of collectors. It’s not unheard of.
That’s really cool to find the history of what the car actually is. I’m excited to see the 2 cars come together as one bad ass build.
So what are you actually doing with your channel? Are you building cars? Trying to be like dde still? I just don't get it. Even when you build cars we don't really see anything in depth.
Just watch the videos. That’ll tell you everything you want to know. 🤡
Loved the Cleetus reference. Sweet car! Hate to see it chopped but you have a valid plan =))
It was smiles on faces when you start that up.
All things considered, putting the Bird clone body on top of a nascar chassis is a nice plan. Good luck! I've seen other Bird clones on top of Hellcat and they just look weird. Hopefully the wheelbase issue isn't that big of a deal. It might be possible to sell Intrepid body parts to some collector afterwards too. Anyway congrats.
Best indicator was sterling marlin did not drive that car in 2006, he drove for MB2 Motorsport. If this is in fact a 2002 this would be when he was leading the points before breaking his collarbone at Kansas and having to sit out the rest of the year.
🤣
this is epic a simi modern day nascar under a superbird gonna rock !
That is probably a Sterling Marlin car a good friend of mine I actually I guess I said knew him through Robbie Knievel who was one of my best friends but I doubt that the one that you have by looking at it but it's the infamous car that made history on February 18th 2001 at Daytona
Reach out to Ray Evernham and get his advice before chopping up the car. He was one of the people who started Dodge's return to Nascar back then.
Super excited for you finding out the car was worth way more than you paid for it. Great feeling when you take a chance like that. Congratulations 🎉
Additionally, verify if you want even want to use the trans and rear axle.
Cleetus is currently repurposing his official NASTRUCK into an all wheel drive drag truck. Much of the tube work is being cut out including the entire rear end. Check out his videos on this if interested.
It brings a smile to my face when I hear that car run. Nice.
