      Thanks for the feedback, I like detail and find detailed overviews useful when I’m researching things, so like to pass this on in my own work 😃

    The most informative channel for kayak fishing I've come across, excellent stuff. Kayak clothing and attire would be a good one!

    very nice video. I doubt if many fishing kayakers have the patience for an hour and a half video. I suggest that you break it up to two or three sections. Maybe a section on just fishing rods and tackle, another on kayak set-up and a third on electronics and anchor set-up. You have great suggestions. I notice that you don't have a manual bilge pump. Thanks from So. California.

    Thank you for sharing, i have just bought my first Kayak after years of hiring, what do you use for navigation lights or do you not bother with them?

    • @CornishKayakAngler
      @CornishKayakAngler  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Paul, I rarely use nav lights but only because I tend to launch after dawn and land before dusk. I occasionally fish just into darkness so has a Railblaza Visibility Kit with a 360 white light mounted on a pole which sits over head height. This is enough for most people to spot you. You can get small clip-on strobe nav lights to attach to your buoyancy aid too - check out the Guardian Nav Lights. Definitely advisable to have some form of white light if on the water during or after dawn/dusk.

    Hi, can you tell me what the black balls are that are on the anchor trolley please? Did they come with the kit? Or did you add them? If so what's the purpose of them and or name of the kit?
    Thanks

    • @CornishKayakAngler
      @CornishKayakAngler  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alex, they are called Parrel Beads or Buffer Beads, they act as a positive stopper against the pulleys and stops the knot of the ring/karabiner getting stuck in the pulley itself. They aren’t essential but I like them. I find they help the trolley slide along the side of the kayak better too and make it easier for it to jump over fittings and fixings (eg the cleat) when shuttling the system. I brought them as an extra to add to my anchor trolley. If you are in the UK, Cornwall Canoes sell them. Hope this helps 😃

    What are those straps you use for your kayak crate? Link, or description?

    • @CornishKayakAngler
      @CornishKayakAngler  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dennis, they are the straps supplied with the Hobie H-Crate. They are really strong and they secure the crate down very well. They can be purchased separately - just google ‘h-crate straps’ and it should bring up a few stores that sell them. Hope this helps 😀

    Where do you keep your big catch mate?

    • @CornishKayakAngler
      @CornishKayakAngler  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most of the fish we keep here in the UK are under 100cm long such as Pollack, Bass, Flatfish, Mackerel etc. So I tend to keep them in the footwell or sometimes put them inside the kayak if it’s sunny. I have thought about a catch bag but like to minimise stuff on the deck.
