It’s gotten to the point that when I see a Jazzmaster I immediately think of Lemmo. He plays them with such affection and it comes out in his playing. It’s magical how he takes a recognizable tune and just makes it his own because he injects so much feel. And he does it whether the song requires a delicate melodic touch or raucous distorted shredding.
Genuinely. I'm pretty sure he's subconsciously the reason I bought a Jazzmaster when the opportunity presented itself. It was between that and a blue Jaguar, and i picked the Jazzmaster.
Lemmo should have been around for the Fusion era, back in the '80's. He'd have killed it with that Spyro Gyra / Weather Report / Sadao Watanabe / Lee Ritenour crowd. And I mean that in a really, really positive way. And yes, I know he can play other genres.
Note to all, the fret dot markers are not really made of clay, I guess that is just how they identify them. In reality they are made of a material similar to linoleum flooring. You could redecorate a '50s bathroom using the Fender "clay" (linoleum) dots and the Gibson mother-of-toilet seat (cellulose nitrate) trapezoid markers. Beautiful Jazzmaster.
Those first few tracks were absolutely soothing. That last display was a literal school of rock. Tremendous display of skill that showed the range of this amazing guitar by a virtuoso player.
does anybody know the songs that he played in all the positions, especially the one he played on the neck pickup? michael lemmo never disappoints with his setlists!
look at the wood on that fretboard.. dang. and i really like lemmo's playing a lot. what he plays is always actually enjoyable, not forced or contrived.
Beautiful guitar but most of all wonderful playing!!! Best GOTD video ever I really hope to meet you all guys... some day... Stay safe Greetings from Rome Alessio
If Micheal ever wants to drop out, he should move to New Orleans and take his jazz master and sit and play all by himself, in the French Quarter, Hotel Lobbies, street corners, side walks, he could wear a mask, nobody would know his identity, he would make so many people happy and rake in the money.

I feel like Lemmo changed the image of the traditional Jazzmaster to a more modern & creative instrument. For me at least.
Jazzmaster's, and Jaguars'. Pretty much any offset guitar.
Yeah - that interpretation of the JJ Cale tune was just awesome - just different enough from my normal music to be really catchy.

Norman has to have one of the best jobs. Buying gear all day long an listening to Lemmo.

No worries Jen the guitar is in the description So you didn't spoil anything

Something about those old matching headstock Jazzmasters is just perfect.
20 years stored away? That guitar has been stored away the same time I’ve been alive, glad it’s finally getting some love
Lemmo is incredible. A true artist!
Lemmo is a guitar Badass. I don’t normally give such high praise, but it’s true.
It's one of the best, even the best Lemmo's demo! This Jazzmaster inspired him to do awesome songs! So cool
Lemmo makes those guitars really sing, such beautiful and concentrated playing.
Even Jen was impressed with that last song.
Love Lemmo's simple loops that end up being the backdrop of awesomeness. Great player man
IT WILL SHOW UP ON MY DOORSTEP THIS MONDAY!
congjazzulations
Well done, man. Thanks for thinking of the less fortunate and being the kind of human we could use more of.

The Guitar Gods Always Smile When Lemmo Plays 👍👍👍👍👍 Truly a Gifted Musician and Lucky Young Man!!!!

Lemmo something JJ Cale-esque and Santana- esque What else you got in your bag of tricks?
I liked this video before I even watched it - Lemmo on deck.

Lemmo is no doubt my new favorite guitarist
Great GOTD!!!! Thanks Norm, Michael, and Jen!
I bought a looper and after seeing Lemmo today I excitedly tried to copy him. ✌️But I couldn’t even get the drum beat to sound anything like Lemmo 😩😩😩
Keep trying!!!🤣
Bridge was on meltdown!

Beautiful Jazzmaster.
Lemmo really enjoyed the Jazz Master!
As the kids would say, that was freakin dope! Very cool Michael.

Mike, your one of my favorite guitarists. Preciate your time. - Mike
That's almost faded to Fiesta Red.
Edit, wow, he actually turned off the little bit of a lot of reverb for a second! 😂
Norm You Are So COOL!

07:19 that TONE! Jazzmaster CAR, matching headstock, Lemmo = perfect combination
Wow!!! Nice playing Michael. That last bit was awesome. Bravo
Yo that last one was sick ngl
I’m digging those melodic loops. 👏🏽🤟🏽
does anybody know the songs that he played in all the positions, especially the one he played on the neck pickup? michael lemmo never disappoints with his setlists!
Lemmo finishes an epic loop track that has everyone’s jaw on the floor and says: “Cool. Here’s the middle pickup...”
I was going to say "but it's Straterday". After the last 5 minutes I guess I will just keep quiet. Nice job, Bud.
I have never played one minute but yet I want this guitar just to learn ! Wow
First time to see the video. Great sound and so happy to see Micheal play it.
Just stopped to say 12:45 sounds awesome.
Oh to be Lemmo's next door neighbour when he took that home to practice with!

Jazzmaster neck pickup lead circuit. So nice!
Really good session today.
Crystalline sound....looks that kill.
Tremendous! A big Budakan ending is what that needed.
SHEESH LEMMO GO OFF MAN!!
I wish Norm's merch wasn't so expensive to ship to Europe. I'd love to order a hoodie but with shipping it's a bit extreme.
Damn this guy don’t miss
Stunning video and music...and killerrrrrrr JM

Lemmo, crazy good as usual!!

I've said it before, I'll have to say it again, and probably again! Teach me! Please!
First one was amazing
friggin awesome playing
I only hope that someday Lemmo can afford to buy a vintage Fender Jazzmaster he deserves one. He took it home with him he truly loves it.
i think Lemmo owns a complete set of jazzys from early 60s, plus that one wonderful lady continues to buy Lemmo Jazzmasters
@@ronmiller1162 Oh I see.
@@ronmiller1162 She bought him a Fiesta Red Jaguar.

I really enjoyed the second song that was played. It sounded so familiar, but I can’t recall what it is.
Awesome playing and tone!
Lovely
That last one, straight from a Tarantino movie 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Wow
WAY COOL!
As good as Lemmo is, he just becomes total-Lemmo with a Jazzmaster. i guess that thing really is your voice. Very nice.
I love that chord at 6min 26 seconds.

Damn, this one was great.
i swear every time I hear lemmo play i pick up my guitar immediately and try copy whatever he's doing
love the dark fretboard on this one
