Join The Bärtfieldinger Trio as they adventure through an eclectic mix of improvisational jams from artists as diverse as Prince, John Williams, The Meters, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Vince Guaraldi and even Dokken. “Alone Again Again” is an hour of music dedicated to the magic that happens through the art of improvisation with long-time musical friends. There’s something familiar sounding for everyone, but realized in a fresh new exciting way.
The Bärtfieldinger Trio is an improvisational jazz fusion project that hails from Detroit, Michigan (and Canada) comprised of veterans, Chuck Bartels (Sturgill Simpson, Bettye LaVette), Phil Whitfield (Windsor, Canada music legend) and Jason Gittinger (Founder or The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music). This team takes modern popular songs on jazz improvisational adventures. Never played the same twice, they make simple pop songs sound like epic adventures, twisting and turning along the way. The listener is struck with familiar material then whisked away to far off musical lands, only to be brought around in the end to land safe and sound in that friendly musical place again. A joy to behold on recordings, but even better in person… witness 3 friends making music live… and unplanned.
