Thank you for the pattern! I just made my first one with a caron cotton cake as a swim cover up for sunny days at the river, and it turned out great even with the adjustments I made. (I wanted the yarn's stripes to go horizontal and didn't need the sleeves as long so I worked from the bottom up) Your pattern was so easy to follow and leaves room for customizing it; I can't wait to make more in other yarns!
Thank you so much for this video. The pattern was very easy to follow but I was a little confused about how to put it together. This Video really helped and was very easy to follow.
I made this with a 10mm hook and the kimono is HUGE!! I have a pretty tight tension but this garment could fit the hulk. What size hook did you use for the blue one, please?
I have a question, I would love to make this for my baby granddaughter. She is three months old and about 10 pounds. I know I can experiment with size but I was wondering if you know how big I should make the panels for her. We are doing family photos and we have an accent color so I thought this would be fun. What do you think?
How many stitched amd how many rows .with whag size needle for thw lannels in cinfused. When pannels in in uk do it isput the stitches on an how many rows
It would be very helpful to know what size (in inches) your individual panels are. It would be a “guide” because then we could measure to see if the garment would fit. Since some crochet tighter than others, we could adjust accordingly....
As a number of people have commented/asked, what are the approximate measurements of the panels? I am thinking maybe 20"x 40"... I've been trying to guestimate as you place your hands flat... It would be nice to have some idea...
Terry Nicholson Darned if I know! I am working on one...I literally measured how big I would like it to be, chained to approximately that length and started crocheting. Don't know how it will work out. Working on at least three other projects at the same time...
To make longer, just add more chains stitches to your starting chain. No one can tell you an exact number since that depends on your gauge, yarn and hook you use, as well as your body size. Easiest way to get the length you want, chain way more than the pattern says, (100+ ch) then do row one. As you're getting finished with row one, find the middle point, drape the row on your shoulder so that half is on your back and half is draped along your front. If you're happy with the length, then use that count of DC, if too long undo some. If still too short, start again, with more chains stitches.
Daisy Delgado how do i figure width for kimono i like sleeves longer but this idea is great. Would i measure from shoulder to shoulder for width simce ill possibly be using a diffrent hook?
Melody Kishimoto if you want the original you do 28 rows and if you want the plus size 40 her 2 rectangle are 28 she was only explaining how to do the plus size one , you can look at her blog post it's really well done
I did EXACTLY as the pattern instructed but what I ended up with would fit a sumo wrestler! May I ask what size hook was used in the blue kimono and what weight yarn, please? Thank you.
On her page she says she used a 10mm hook. Although looking closer at this project she's putting together it doesn't look like that LARGE of a hook was used. I won't be doing her projects. Main reason is her SIZING IS WAY OFF. I watched 2 other videos where she claims the small & Med. is an 82 chain no way that's a small in the round.
@@sherit8594 I just had this problem. Made the large size thinking "yass! large and comfy" and it looks like a potato. Not a good result at all. It doesn't seem to be a flattering design on a person without being neatly tucked and folded on a person, not for casual wear outside of styled pictures. ugh.
This here didn't work out for me even though I made the tall and curvy one and I'm 5'9 and I chained 88 and it turned out to be for a child, so if your tall like me I would double the length like chain 176 to get where you want it....

Very beautiful 👍👍👍👍😃
Can I make it longer if I want ?
What is the height and width of one original panel. This is so cute and can't wait to start :)!

Does it matter on the stitch and make it like it was a scarf like up or long ways?

Hi Jilly, the pattern states that 28 rows (for regular size) would measure 60" (same in all sizes) and 28 rows measure 24".
Madam C thank you !
Madam C I didn’t see that🙄
Amazing❤️🧡💛
You mentioned a video to create the panels....It is not linked????
I don't have 10mm hook can I use 7mm or 6.50 hook? Thanks in advance
Do you know how much yards if thread you used in the larger kimono?
How many to ch for a smaller hook, i have a 5mm the largest one is 6.5 i think using a 5 would be half your size thanks sam
88 chains. Chain in 4th chain from hook. I end with 86 counting the chain two. Do you join in the chain two. Sorry new to this.
What are the measurements of the panels?

Your panels are the same size. That is not what you stated in the beginning. One panel is wider than the other. Can not see which panel is which.
one size mentioned is for a larger person the smaler size is for smaller person such as petite you can try which size would fit you best
APrimbun 28 rows what size in inches?

What is your hook mm that you used in this tutorial
10mm
Her page says she used a 10mm hook
Thank you
There is no way those panels equal the measurements given!
yeah I just tried it out and the measurements don't make sense at all, I ended up kinda eyeballing it
Mine turned out horrible. :/ I'm extremely disappointed.
what size is the hook
Please show how to crochet a beautiful elegant dress for size 46 48
Could you give me the length and width of the rectangles in inches please.x
Could I make it longer than what the video is showing?
How come your squares are the same size? You said one at 28 rolls and one ar 40. I am lost.
Melody Kishimoto if you want the original you do 28 rows and if you want the plus size 40 her 2 rectangle are 28 she was only explaining how to do the plus size one , you can look at her blog post it's really well done

Liz S what size hook did you use? The pattern calls for 10mm.
Jessie Moto what the pattern told me to use
Liz S how strange! I did the same and its adult size.
I will redo it again, thanks!
I just finished mine and it's actually ginormous lol. I did the one size original but it would fit a sumo wrestler! Ahh!!
