Foster kids thought on care: it sucks. Separated from my siblings, never seeing my mom, moved around so much i didn't want to unpack my trash bag. But in the end it gave my mom the time (3 years) to get over her addictions, get a stable job, and a home (we were living in a motel) for me and my 4 other siblings. I've only been home for 6 months, but I feel good and I don't think I will ever be going back into care.

i was researching about foster homes and i stumbled on this video and read the comments. i am so sorry to those who didn't have a positive experience under foster care. my mom was a teacher and she would take in students who had difficulty learning how to read and teach them at home during vacations. she would take in take in relatives who cannot afford to go to school and and help them finish high school or vocational courses. we all got along, my mom never hurt us, but we all agreed that my mom talks a lot. to everyone, stay strong. look for somebody you can talk to and share your burden.

I was 6 years old when they took me & my other siblings away it was during Halloween too so when I got home From school I went over to my friends to go Trick or Treating I went home to get ready & grab a pillow case or something to collect candy but there was a van there & people standing outside my house & my family crying I didn’t know what was going on then all I know is my mom started packing up my stuff & started to hug us all put us all into the van & we drove off to people I didn’t know told me we were gonna be living with them now it’s bullshit how they do that I get when your a kid you don’t understand much but could’ve told us that we were gonna be leaving before they came to grab us cause I remember that day like a mf not the whole day but I remember moments 👎 & that bullshit they say they don’t wanna keep the parents away from the children is bullshit I want y’all to know that I had to beg to see my siblings & my mom but because I didn’t have good grades & was misbehaving in school because I was being bullied & handled them myself instead of letting a teacher just talk to them & have them fuck with me more I handled them myself & they didn’t fuck with me after & my social worker kept telling me I’m a danger to my siblings & my mother 😂👎💔 & I would go 2 weeks or more without seeing them because of some mf that thought it would be funny to bully me

@@snob5275 hey. That experience sounds super shitty. I'm considering becoming a foster parent, and I want to pick your brain if you don't mind. What could your foster parent have done to help you in this situation? It sounds like you really needed your family and were dealing with multiple scenarios that made you feel unsafe, unsupported, and like you didn't belong. How could a foster parent help make that easier to cope with, or how could they fix the situation entirely? Asking because I imagine that this is a common problem, and I'm not yet familiar with the foster care system or the experiences of the children in it. I sincerely hope that your situation improved/is improving. I imagine that it's so incredibly hard going through this kind of turbulence and distress.

Parents sometimes make difficult decisions, believing they are acting in the best interest of their child, even if their actions may seem confusing or harsh. It doesn't necessarily mean they don't love their child; rather, they may feel unable to provide the care they wish to give due to challenging circumstances. This situation can be an opportunity to learn about the complexities of parenthood, helping you become more prepared, compassionate, and dedicated to being the best parent you can be in the future.

I have a similar story tbh. I was adopted at the age of 4 and I stayed with my adopted parents for almost 10 years. I have 4 other siblings(I’m the middle child) and we were all taken away. I am now 18, I aged out of care. I somehow made it in college. I no longer talk to my older siblings. We all have a story and all I have to say is this... Open up to others and make good relations. Don’t be fake unless it is absolutely necessary. It is about survival. And I’m still struggling, don’t give in to drugs and alcohol. All one can do is rise above it. Everyone is right about it being temporary. But how long is ‘temporary’? Don’t wait for opportunities, I did for the longest time and that was my biggest mistake. One has to create it, nothing will be handed over. Shoot me a message if you want to talk more.

From someone raised in fostercare here is my story well some of it
As someone raised in the foster car system for 8 years after my mom's passing at 10 let me tell you I have PTSD from it and still wake up with nightmares thinking I'm back in those times I was more abused by foster parents who just wanted the check i was in 25 homes in 8 years and only 1 family was good too me they would put me in group homes when there wasn't enough beds and sometimes juvenile detention halls if they needed a rest pit home they separated my sister and I and rarely let's us see each other and this wasn't my workers fault it's the corrupt system too the point my worker was gonna take me in as a foster kid when she's never done that before but she was denied man I could go on and go kinda hard too speak about 8 terrible years in a few minutes but what that being said I got a job at my own car and license and ran away I turned my self in at 18 and they released me I felt like I was freshly realised from prison half the DCF workers don't give a damn and same goes for the foster parents I had some where we where locked up in our rooms and fed moldy old food while they at McDonald's as a family in the dining room I've had my stuff stolen such as clothes etc. They refused too bring me too my mother's grave etc.. still effecting me in my mid 20s I've had my own places for years now but for some reason they never feel like home I don't bother decorating or anything because it seems temporary my heart goes out too all you guys in the system I'm not attempting too save up enough money too buy my first home where I can officially call it MY HOME considering I always jump from apartment too apartment landlords love me and I have great references but for some reason I always moved I haven't lived in a house for more than my yearly lease for some reason when I was raised in foster care longest i lived in a home was 6 months then i would be bounced around last time I felt like at home and reside at a residence for than a year was back in 06 when my mom was alive 14 years I've been bouncing around I enlisted in the army as 31 bravo and 2 weeks before my ship date I was hit by a drunk driver and it ruined my military career life hasn't been easy but I'm not giving up yet! Gonna keep pushing till I can save up enough too buy my first HOME kinda hard though due too covid and loosing my job but I have 25k so far and I'm gonna keep trying!!

Needing to be a well balanced person to be a foster parent is very true! I am now 61 yrs old but when I was very young I spent 3 yrs in a foster home, until I was 8 yrs old. My 2 brothers and sister were also in foster homes. My younger brother by far had a terrible foster parent. When I say terrible, I can say that is actually being nice. The way the world is today, I believe my brothers foster father would have been put in jail. He was so abusive to my brother that my grandparents went there and took him out. He is 59 yrs old today and I can say, that experience totally messed him up. I was very shocked when he told me some of the things that guy did. There was a picture of him with 2 black eyes, I think my grandparents took the picture as proof. The guy claimed he fell off his bike. I think that was the final straw. My brother at that time couldn't have been more than 4 or 5 and he certainly didn't have any bike they gave him. I was very lucky. I was placed with a more elderly couple who were really very nice to me. I couldn't have asked for a better home. My older brother had it a little difficult because he was on a farm and they only wanted to foster kids so they had more help. My sister probably had the second best place, although they were very strict with her. More so than their own kids. My sister said she had to go to a friend's just to get to watch TV. That being said, for her it was pretty minor stuff in comparison to my two brothers. I am glad my Dad got things together in order to take us all out of the homes. You never realize how much a step parent deals with when your a kid. We always thought our stepmother was a..... well not so nice. But I became a stepfather to 3 kids back in 1996 and I can say I now appreciate the magnitude of what she did, accepting my father with 4 kids. Granted, there were times when she was over the top, but nothing really terrible. In fact more comical than anything else. I promised myself I would make sure the 3 step kids I had would be treated good. My stepdaughter was pretty evil to me, but I stuck it out and when she got older she apologized to me in the best way she could. I even got to give her away at her wedding, so I figure I did OK. I think I've done pretty good. We all get along real well. Granted the kids are grown and on their own, but we have wonderful grandkids that we see very often and it's really nice!

Consider training non-violent, non-sex offender ex-cons to run foster care homes. They face chronic unemployment and if there crimes did not endanger human beings, then why not make the most of their willingness to work, after they receive adequate training or orientation.
Success would be indicated if the work took them to a town far removed from the towns in which they fell into bad company.
Obviously, interviews and screening would be necessary, but that should be the case anyway. You can utilize a variety of tests from industrial psychology that look at personality.
I've thought about signing up, but I don't think I have the heart anymore and I don't have a car anymore, nor do I want to look like someone that has had a child out of wedlock, despite that the fact that no one cares anymore. I do.
And the stigma growing up with a single Mother, certainly bothered me. I'm over it, but don't want to relive it as the one who fill the statisitic

THIS IS GROSSLY WRONG. DO UNDERSTAND that MOST CHILDREN TAKEN FROM THEIR PARENTS (83%) ARE ACTUALLY UNJUSTLY TAKEN - STOLEN and KIDNAPPED - by corrupt state agents, for PROFIT. They are STATE-STOLEN FOR THE MOST FLIMSY and EVEN FABRICATED REASONS. The very idea of STEALING them from GOOD and LOVING parents, BEREAVING PARENTS OF THEIR OWN GOD-GIVEN CHILDREN, so that CPS and their cohorts can HUMAN TRAFFICK THEM TO EX-CONS, for paychecks, is an abomination of egregious human rights violations and terrorism beyond belief. God Himself will soon be "repaying" those who work the crimes against God and humanity of CHILD THIEVERY.

The foster care systems is full of bad I was in 22 homes 18 of which I was abused in, denied basics like food, water, showers and more. We are take from a bad home to be put into a corrupt and abusive system that does not care one bit about the kids in their care the only ones they care about are the ones outside the system they want to put in it.

Its a way for some wicked people to make money - to unjustly take children from their homes and parents - to steal children, and its just terrible. Its what's called human rights violations. Soon, God will punish people who steal children. Then families will get to live in peace here, with no more bad people disturbing them and making unjust trouble for them anymore. BETTER RECRUITMENT
. . . or since the shortage of qualified, quality people continues, why not recruit world class British nannies. They know child rearing better than anyone. Recruit underemployed and unemployed social workers to run orphanages or large foster care homes (in actual houses). Allowing shift work might prevent burn out for the more difficult cases and decreases the instances of childr abuse due to the stress of more difficult kids.

This too is an abomination of a horrible idea - one which would also render yet more evil support of an already evil child and family harming/destroying regime of terrorism and human rights violations. Are you aware that CHILD KIDNAPPING FOR PROFIT - the UNJUST removal, the outright STEALING of CHILDREN, by CORRUPT and CONSCIENCELESS governmental agents is apparently EVEN MORE PREVALENT IN BRITAIN THAN IN THE USA??!!! It is runaway, unchecked, evil TERRORISM. These crimes against God and humanity are BEING EXPOSED. No good and decent person should want to support these unconscionable and inhumane, inexcusable crimes in any way. Those who are party to these crimes are going to have to face God Himself, soon, for their EVIL and the insurmountable and egregious harm and suffering they have caused others. Britain's "child protective services": Accepts ["purchase"] orders for coveted infants/children belonging to others to be kidnapped from their parents ; pipelines taken children to pedophiles; and works with the most corrupt and evil "doctors" to work eugenics upon/ EUTHANIZE/ FORCE DEATH UPON/ MURDER the terroristically STOLEN and held-captive children of others, i.e., BABY ALFIE. Britain's greed and evil-driven so-called child "protective" services even unjustly took a visiting Italian woman CAPTIVE, AND HAD HER BABY GUTTED FROM HER BODY - by FORCED CEASAREAN - and then STOLE THAT CHILD. (For the UNJUST and EVIL-STUPID "excuse" that the mother had a panic attack.) It was one more baby for sale. Due to the prevalence of evil corruption among Britain's so-called social services, good parents are FLEEING that country out of fear for their families. Truly, the demons run wild there. Educate yourself. Look these things up. See this evil for what it is. Its a human rights crisis of the highest order - in Britain, the US, Canada, and more.

@Theresa k. Is not flawed in what she says!! Maybe ur experience was not horrific but u have no idea about the other horror testimonies from other people. I know this to be true since I'm living the nightmare myself!! My kids are being sex trafficked and have been forced on sex websites and forced to have have sex!! My kids are being so badly over medicated and they themselves have tryed to get help and what does dhs do?..... they lock my kids up!! So how dare u so rudely tell someone that they are crazy cause it's the corruption from dhs that makes us kids crazy cause people like u try and say that what kids themselves are saying is happening not true. Kids are dying at the hands of dhs and foster care. There are police officers here that are still police officers with no charges alm cause dhs dont want their lies exposed!! But the time is here cause there are millions including myself that have 100 percent proof of their corruption and are now no longer scared of their threats and death threats and we are going public and we are fighting back to get our kids back with us safe where they belong where they should never have been taken in the first place!! The war against illegal DHS kidnapping has come so I hope the dhs and all involved are ready

MOST children (83% of children) who are taken from their parents are UNJUSTLY TAKEN - STOLEN from their parents, for NO valid reason - so that corrupt and evil persons, who lie and say that they "protect" children, CAN MAKE MONEY off of taking children. If you're a child, don't be scared, but talk to your parents about these things. Have them look at pages such as MedicalKidnap.com and videos like the one I will post at the end of this. God is very, very angry at all persons who involve themselves in child thievery; and He will end their child stealing and punish them soon. What child thieves do is called extreme human rights violations and crimes against God and humanity. It is not okay at all, it makes God and good people angry. It will be brought to an end soon - all of that badness that causes so much suffering will be brought to an end soon. Then good parents and their children will get to live in peace - with no bad people ever bothering them again. Ask your parents to watch videos like this one, and to share the videos with other good people who truly care about children and families - th-cam.com/video/ztEqMounuRU/w-d-xo.html&list=LL06Ont9pKrkyxfWaqemCnQQ&index=8

You're a horrible person to put this up. It has no place on a Foster Care video. Children placed in Foster Care are not stolen! Either the parent(s) have addictions, pending criminal trials or jail, Financial or custody problems. There's no reason to scare children any more than they are. Yes, there are child thieve, but it's very rare in this country.

    SISTER CITY OPPORTUNITY
How about exploit the relationship that we have with Japan and send some of our people to Japan to villages with shrinking populations. One school used to have more than 1200 students and now has only 37.
If we could get care givers/foster parents to travel to these villages in collaboration with Japanese government, not only would they learn the Japanese language, but the younger ones could obtain a superior education, unlike anything we have to offer in the United States at the free level.
We could begin with our sister city as a pilot program and then go from there.

SO YOU'RE SAYING, SEND SOME OF THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF STATE-STOLEN, CAPTIVE CHILDREN - UNJUSTLY TAKEN/ KIDNAPPED FROM THEIR PARENTS, THROUGH HOMELAND TERRORISM and ABUSE OF POWER BY CORRUPT AND EVIL STATE AGENTS - AWAY FROM THEIR BEREAVED PARENTS WHOM GOD HIMSELF GAVE THEM TO - TO BE SENT OVERSEAS? HAVE YOU ANY IDEA AT ALL ABOUT WHAT MAGNITUDE OF A HUMAN RIGHTS ATROCITY ON TOP OF WHAT IS ALREADY A HUMAN RIGHTS ATROCITY THIS WOULD BE? These unconscionable crimes against God and humanity are and would be nothing short of DEMONICLY EVIL. There have been other men, with their human rights violating regimes, who also believed in UNJUSTLY separating families and taking innocent people CAPTIVE - as a tool and device for working heinous evil - and who also liked to LOAD THEM ON VEHICLES/ TRAINS, to ship them off elsewhere [to "camps]. Do you know their NAMES? History will never forget - nor will God, or the good and decent people of the world. Instead, they and their supporters will be forever condemned, for their inexcusable and unconscionable EVIL.

Just a heads up but you are like one of those antagonist characters where the protagonist tries to fight you and tell you that it should be natural and not forced.
