Excellent review. Just to clarify, there is no connections for Android phones. Virtual Cockpit is new for X3, a little more time on the features would have been appreciated. Overall, fantastic job and excellent descriptions on the iDrive system.
Excellent review, great in depth information. Looks like this would make a great all year around vehicle with some M power and styling without the large increase in price.
it funny so see ALL the reviews , saying the 7 buttons are radio presets ! because they are also GLOBAL presets , you can do what you want with : call your wife , show sport display counters , show consuption display , go to a deep menu , etc and it's capacitive touch : you just put you finger very close and the car shows to you what you gonna press !
@Jamie D I have a 2019 X3 M40i. I replaced the run flats with snow tires and run them about 2 psi low. Helped a lot. Also, my initial experience was on the run flats at about 15 degrees F. Yes it is a firm ride but the M40i is totally different Than a non M40i to the point that I will accept a bit of a rough ride for the acceleration, steering, braking, and handling! The bouncing is on a stretch of concrete highway where the sections of concrete are about 20 or 30 feet long and do slightly undulate. On asphalt the vehicle is glued to the road and quite fun to drive.
"It's a wireless charging space .... you don't need to plug your phone in!" .... and when you press the steering heat button, it shows you on the display ..... WOW ... kinda stating the obvious don't you think.

You sure it has Android auto? I bought the M40i and it was optional for Apple car play and Android auto was not available.
No android auto.
Excellent video, very informative and paced perfectly. Thank you :)

I agree/having Fun and Safe to drive, I got X3 2019 2 weeks ago now amazing powerful
Do you still have it? How has it been! Did you have the x3 m40i
Can’t wait for mine!
What year is this vehicle?
Do the ambient lights are standard for BMW X3 M40i ?
Not standard. Add on but is also part of a package.
On the m40i it’s standard. On other models it’s an option
Great review but you should get new camera for better video quality and focus
I LOVE BMW GO GO GO
HEY YOU!! STOP LEANING ON MY CAR!! :D
SQ5 or X3 M340i?
I have the X5 M40i 2019 stunning car.
Uh...I have one too, but it's a crossover SUV and not a car ;P

Dashboard isn’t leather. It’s an imitation.
Nice video
Too bad the suspension is so stiff that it is uncomfortable after only five or ten miles! Even in comfort mode.

4,8 sec. to 100 km/h not 4,5 sec. and the dashboard is not real leather.
Tobias Salzmann isn’t it 4.6sec? Or is there difference between 0-60mph and 0-100km/h? Bmw USA website has it 4.6
You are correct Brian. 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) is 4.6 sec. 0-100 km/h is 4,8 sec.
Tobias Salzmann he did say in about 4 and a half seconds, he was not quoting a precise figure.
I do not think you able to tell the differences of the 0.3 sec
NO ANDROID AUTO TO MY KNOWLEDGE.
most of those safety features are not standard...fyi.
