Does the usb cable from the front to the rear camera come with the camera for 70Mai A510 also what is the power source for the rear camera? Is it the same USB cable itself or does it need separate power ?
You missed one of the key aspects, the Dash cam is capacitor based or Lithium ion battery based. in India high temperatures , while parked in the open sunlight Lithium Ions based dashcams will be exposed to sunlight and high temps which is not really ideal. Cheers!
Just checked the owners manual. it's 500mah lithium battery. no capacitor. Thanks for your question. it will help us improve the cotent of our future videos.
@@joel4038 the front one has a clip. so, at least the dashcam is easy to remove but the rear one only sticks with the double tape. and also removing the wiring is a hassle. but if you just want the battery out of the car, then unplugging the front unit and removing it from the clip to store at home can work.
I am using 70mai since 2018 and had no issue with it parke in direct sunlight. These are reliable dash cams and I can recommend 70mai for sure as it saved me several times from legal and financial repercussions!
I recently purchased this dashcam and I have to say everything is top-notch until I recently encountered this issue. While I was transferring the videos from my SD card to PC, some of the videos were not playing. They looked like corrupted files (nearly around 50 clips of 3mins of both front and back cam). I am not sure why this happened. Can someone please help me understand why this happened and if possible, how can I recover these videos?
thanks for your praise. speaking of facts, i conveyed one fact incorrectly. it only supports up to 256GB cards while I mentioned up to TB cards in video. i hated getting it wrong. I should have done better. I can blame it on my inexperience with dashcams and a tight timeline all i want, but ultimately the buck stops with the presenter. I humbly accept your praise and promise to do better next time. Thanks for your kind encouragement.
Good Review. Couple of questions if you can answer please - battery type - when driving can the car headunit and dashcam both parallely conntected. Android auto wireless plus dashcam -wifi is 2.5 or 5GHZ
1. lithium ion 500mah 2. if the infotainment is a standalone android device and can access the regular play store, then you can connect it with the dashcam. otherwise not. 3. 2.4GHz wireless thanks for your questions. it helped me improve my knowledge.
Thanks for the quick revert. I am a long time subscriber of V3 cars which I feel is the only sensible review channel available. Would need a bit more help on the question 2. Let me eloborate. Now a days the headunit like connect Android auto wirelessly with your android phone which utilizes the WIFI feature. Given to connect to dashcam with your mobile you also need WiFi connection. The question is if we can parallel connect our phone to cars headunit and dashcam
@@adityachow i'll try and find that out. but please don't expect a quick reply in this case. The dashcam is fixed in my car and i want to keep it there for future dashcam comparisons. and my car doesn't have android auto. so, i'll need a car nearby with wireless android auto to find that out. although, i can confirm that the dashcam doesn't record while the phone is connected to it. this one creates a hotspot of sorts. so, our phone connects to its wifi network (without internet). while that connection is on, it only works to facilitate video transfer and setting changes. recording resumes only when we disconnect from the cam, for which, we have to tap a button in the app. since while driving, we would want the dashcam to be recording and the phone to be connected to the infotainment, I don't see a situation where connecting this cam and the headunit simultaneously would be of much use.
Thanks for the swift response again. Will wait for first hand experience whenever you get a chance. What you have said does make sense the only question still is as soon as you enter in the car which will take precedence since both dashcam as well as headunit would have been mapped for auto connect and it would be a hassle everytime either manually select or add in other case when you want to connect to dashcam I am guessing once fully figured out on this both car companies as well as dashcam manufacturers need to give some seamless solution
Thanks for your feedback. front video quality is indeed crisp and very clear. thankfully, they also sell front only for 10k + card discounts. That's what i really liked about this dashcam.
Nice review. Please suggest something more affordable which doesn't have additional features like adas. Just simple dashcam which records good enough at night..
bolero doesn't need a review. those who want a bolero, they usually don't care much about alternatives. Hahaha jokes aside, point noted. but please don't keep your hopes too high. if we can get a bolero from mahindra's press fleet in NCR region, we'll certainly do it.
agar time aur paisa hai toh aap court mein hardwired dashcam hone ke baad bhi warranty claim kar sakte ho. battery se connection ka suspension failure se koi lena dena nahi hai. lekin manufacturers warranty claim se dur bhagne ke liye kuch bhi bahana use karte hain. kayi saal pehle maine suna tha ki dealer bol raha hai agar seat cover bahar se lagwaye toh gaadi ki warranty void ho jayegi. The dashcam cannot connect to the internet on its own because it lacks the hardware to do so. It opens a WiFi Hotspot when you activate it, and you need to connect to that hotspot from your mobile and only then can the dashcam's mobile app be usable. Furthermore, the mobile app itself will not have permissions to connect to the internet (this is what I have observed with my Viofo dashcam) and even if that permission is present with the 70mai app, you can take that permission away from your mobile OS settings. Therefore, there is no scope of uploading your videos or metadata to any remote server.
@@elvispink4792 see it is chinese but if you read the app permission in playstore you will find it collects personal information etc. and when the app is in your phone and phone has internet then data gets transferred as data is collected from app...if not necessary then you may not connect your dashcam the dashcam will operate on its own and continue recoding
Agreed. You can use it without phone connection. if you want the lane departure feature, then you will have to connect it only once to caliberate. then, just use it without phone connection. the cam will record but it'll never be able to connect to the internet. from there, in case of emergencies, you can just remove the card and transfer to computer.
The video is well structured covering the details required to be known by the buyers especially the video file sizes... Keep it up💯👍
I have been using this from last 1 year, its a must buy!
yup. The front cam records unbelievably clear video even with oncoming traffic and high beams.

Does it voids warranty of car insurance. Sadly Skoda not recommended 😢
in case of hardwiring, I'm not sure. but using it from a 12V socket as we did, it certainly won't void any warranty.
