Definitely the A510. A500S is the older model with the older sensor. Doesn't seem logical to go with the older one when the upgraded model gives drastically better performance.

Great video brother! I have been binging your videos since morning so I dont have buyer's remorse later 😅 Couple of questions since I have never owned a dashcam before... (I ended up asking a lot!) POWER / BATTERY 1. This has a 500mAh Li battery, so can it record low fps video for few mins after you turn off the car? (12v port. Not obd conn) 2. A comment said Li batt is not safe for dashcam, your opinion? 3. If I connect it to a power bank while the car is parked, will it continue to record? STORAGE 1. If in parking mode the fps is 15 at similar bitrate as regular recording, shouldnt the file size per min be half of the regular 30fps video? Yet its almost similar 2. Why do devices with such high bitrate and dual channel only support 256 GB. Smh. Qubo supports 1TB. Any work around for this? Im properly confused between, 1. Nexdigitron prime dual ch - good quality, only 8.5k but glare issue without cpl & only 256gb card 2. qubo pro 3k dual ch - apparently better night video, 1tb card, can swivel camera but no obd2 kit 3. A510 dual - best cam but 4.5k more than nexdigitron, only 256gb card I know im asking a lot but swalpa help maadi pls 🙏🥲 Thank you!
Help maadakke nav iradu! POWER/BATTERY: 1. The battery is only for maintaining the time and to properly finish recording the last file being recorded the moment dashcam gets disconnected from its power source (12v). Hence once disconnected from power, it cannot record for extra duration. 2. Primarily, battery is more unsafe in smartphones, EV's than in dashcams, because EV's and smartphone's run directly on battery power, whereas dashcams run on DC power(even battery based ones). There is no recorded history (as per my knowledge) of dashcams blowing up or burning out (whereas you can read about an incident every single day in the newspaper about EV battery catching fire or smartphone battery swelling up). Battery based dashcams are being sold since many years and there is no direct evidence of these dashcams causing any issues. Secondly, I have been using a battery based dashcam since 2+ years, parking in direct sunlight most of the time and I haven't faced any issues yet. So based on these aspects I can conclude that there is nothing to be extremely concerned about this aspect. 3. Yes it will continue to record if connected to a power bank, provided the power bank provides the proper voltage required to run the dashcam. BUT, power banks are more susceptible to heat in the car (closed windows and doors and parked in direct sunlight) and may damage the power bank or cause fire. Hence not recommended. STORAGE: 1. The image/video processing algorithm in the system probably upscales the image causing it to have a similar bitrate as a normal recorded video for equal/balanced performance. 2. Higher storage is not 'always' better. Increased storage capacity requires hardware level changes. This depends on company policy. No workaround for this. CONFUSION: Between Nexdigitron Prime, Qubo 3K and 70mai A510 Dual, I would blindly go with A510. Primary reason being the Starvis 2 sensor. When it comes down to core point of 'why do you have a dashcam?'. The simple answer is: to have video evidence of any incident/accident that might happen to you or someone else in front/rear of you. This evidence helps in insurance claims and legal cases if the need arises. Now, comes the next aspect. Is just any evidence enough or the 'quality' of the evidence matters? Having a Starvis 2 dashcam ensures you get the best possible video quality and clarity and number plate readability at night. This ensures that on your part, you had the best hardware available in your arsenal to collect the best possible 'quality' of evidence to be collected which can hep you save yourself later when the need arises. And when you ever face any situation where the dashcam footage was needed, no one is going to ask if you dashcam supports 1TB card or 256GB card. They will ask if the video is clear enough to identify number plates/nameboards/faces etc. I hope you get this clears your confusion.
@@traveltechyoutube I agree with your take on going for better quality cam as it can be crucial in a time of dispute, etc. I guess I can still get 18hrs of recording with a 256gb card. So for my city use I'll probably get week's worth of recording... So should be manageable. My budget was 10k max. Stretching it to 13k is difficult but I'm thinking of doing it because of your suggestion. Thanks for answering all my questions!
I have ordered 510 delivery awaited after watching your videos.. thanks for such helpful videos.. my question is that can you make a small video as to how the recordings work as in do the videos roll over once SD card is full or how does it work?
No doubt that 70mai provides best quality dashcam at reasonable price among all dashcams in market but one major drawbackb is it's battery instead of capacitor. That's why I am not in favour of 70 mai dashcams. Nice work...keep it up bro 👏
I am owing Creta SX(O) 2024 with ADAS. Right now I want to add a camera that acts as good surveillance in case of any issues. I have shortlisted these three options: • Red Tiger f17 3 Channel • Wolfbox i07 3 Channel • 70mai a510 dual channel All 3 come around 12-13k with discounts going on. So please let me know which of these 3 will be the best?
I haven't tried Wolfbox i07, so can't give an honest opinion on that. For best night video quality A510 is better. Get it here: amzn.to/4emMmkE For more coverage around the car including cabin, F17 is better. Nice review Anna 👍🏻. For 12999 it's really a good Dashcam. I think if someone has a budget of 9999 then they should stretch their budget a little and go with Dual Channel Dashcam.
Great review! The video quality of this dashcam looks impressive, especially in low-light conditions. I love the built-in GPS feature and the wide-angle lens. The parking mode and motion detection are also super handy for added security. Definitely considering this for my next dashcam purchase!
Very nice video. I got this dash cam based on your reviews. thank you. The video quality is very good during day and night. The emergency video recording in the A510 has has issue. The emergency video is recorded when the car faces emergency, like a shock on impact. This is required when the car faces an accident and you are unconsious. the dashcam will contine recording and overwrites older videos. this may result in overwiriting the accident video. The emergency video will not be overwritten. But the A510 does not record emergency video even when the door is slammed hard, or you go very fast on a speed breaker. The shock sensitivity of the A510 has been set high. I also have a A500 dual dashcam. It ecords emergency video properly under similar conditions. Hope the manufacturers of A510 releases a firmware update to correct the issue.
@@traveltechyoutube good to know its working on your A510. Factory reset was attempted, the issue remained. the seller replaced my A510. But the second unit also does not record emergency vidieo while mioving fast on a speed breaker or on slamming the doors. Surprisingly my A500 works in the same conditions. Does your A510 record emergency video in these conditions? Thank You
I too faced this issue. It was working at start then from past couple of days I faced this issue, formatting the memory card helped. I think removing card and connecting to PC started this issue.
@@shrinivas7437 i had formated the memory card, did a factory reset, sent the unit for replacement. issue still remains for me. it has never recorded a single emergency video for over 2000 km of trip. My A500 has recorded so many emergency videos in the same routes.
Yes it will, but only with suction mount. It won't fit or align well with vertical windshields straight out of the box. If you want to know more about suction mounts, watch this: th-cam.com/video/pOqSMjTT4U0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Rv0KyETT19Ac7hRg
Thank you for this detailed and extensive review. Your efforts to provide each and every detail and points with simple explanation helps in getting the useful information. This dashcam could potentially be a best seller and it's performance looks top notch. Looking forward to buy it.
Thank you very much for a very comprehensive review. This really helps in narrowing down the choice of dashcam. However a small query, is this a capacitor based or lithium ion based dashcam. I read all over the internet that we shouldnt opt for lithium ion based dashcam. Just wondering where does this fall into?
Yes this is a battery based dashcam. But, based on my personal experience, I haven't faced any issues with it since I am using a battery based dashcam since nearly 3 years and also parking outside in sunlight. I would say it's not a major concern.
Excellent review and excellent dashcam as well !!👏 We are finally starting to see decent dashcams and these new sony starvis sensors are the right stuff, manufacturers need to step up their SoC system to keep up like in this case, HDR image does require decent chip, same situation for 4K too. Great review as usual, keep up the great work sir👍
Amazing quality specially the front one. People should keep there budget 15k more when buying car. Like if a car is 8.5 on road they should keep it as 8.65 and install this at the very first day itself.
Definitely worth it. CPL filter reduces glare and dashboard reflections from sunlight during daytime and streetlight during night time giving you a crystal clear video quality.
Well done....If the cameras send data to the app is there any way to record to a cloud server or even a DVR/Local External Disk...Also is it a good idea to place the front camera on the dashboard instead of the windshield? Does the power cable running from the rear camera carry data as well to the front camera or can I provide the rear camera with power in the boot instead of running a cable all the way to the front?
Data to the app is sent only when the camera the connects to the app, and as far as I know, there is no cloud support on this dashcam yet. You can transfer videos to your external disk anytime you want by taking it the memory card and transferring manually(faster) or transfer wirelessly to your smartphone(slower). Placing on the dashboard or the windshield is a personal choice. But the mounting mechanism of this dashcam doesn't support dashboard mounting by default. Also, mounting the camera on the windshield gives the camera a more better view of the front bonnet of the car due to high angle, compared to low angle of dashboard mount. The cable running from rear to front carries both power and data to the main processing unit in the front camera for time synchronising and storage. It's important to connect it to the front camera for its optimum functioning.
Finally Purchased this dashcam using it since 15 days. Thank you Travel tech for your reviews and guide. My thoughts on this. Pros. 1. Front camera picture clarity is excellent and number plate readability is good in both day and night condition. 2. It does capture fast moving vehicle number plate as well. 3. Rear camera quality is decent at close range. 4. Device and it's accessories quality feels good, it's lightweight. Did not found any issue of disconnect as of now. 5. App too works fine. Cons/ missing features- 1. Front camera in day time has Over-sharpened video quality. 2. G sensor doesn't seems to be working properly or calibration issue. Trigger of emergency videos on same potholes and rumble strips is inconsistent. 3. Does not have voice commands for hotspot stop/ start. Manually asking for taking snap/ video. 4. Auto HDR option or option to disable it based on time of the day is missing. 5. Should provide more resolution option and option to choose 60 fps in other resolutions. I think sensor is capable.
This is the best budget dashcam with proper STARVIS 2 Night HDR implementation. You can see in night front video, the number plate feels hovering ahead of the car. That's how it should be in STARVIS 2. My only query is what would be a better setup - Dual Channel A510 or A510 in Front and M200 in rear? Though rear cam looks good but not great in night. Is it worth going through extra hassle of getting a seperate camera for rear?
I don't think so. Separate rear camera requires separate power port, separate memory card and separate app setup. Downloading videos and syncing them to the front camera is another extra work. I find all this inconvenient.
Thanks for the detailed review man.👍 The front cam video quality is impressive for the price and the rear is not bad. I will wait for the user reviews to come up since this model being the one with battery. May I know the difference between A810 and A510? Both being Starvis2, a comparison video between the two would be great.
Thanks for watching! A810 is native 4K dashcam, which means it has a resolution of 2160P. The A510 supports max 1944P. That's the (only) major difference.
@traveltechyoutube thanks for your reply, I end up buying at A129 plus duo instead since it will be used in hot climate was concerned of the A510 Lion battery and it was on special 👍
Hi I'm planning to buy a510 soon. By saying that I need to know one thig is SD card mandatory for this dashcam or can we also record videos without external SD card either on internal memory(What is the internal memory on Dash cam and how much Video we can store) or on Mobile. Thanks
Great stuff brother. My reverse parking cam just failed. Can I buy a dash cam with front and rear cam, and use the rear cam of the dash cam as a reverse parking camera?
Appreciate the effort you put and i always look forward to your genuine reviews. One suggestion would be to show number plate clarity of two wheelers and autos because these are the major culprits who just run away easily. Also, does it have a in built battery?
Thanks for reviewing this. Wanted to know if its safe to buy this for my car which is always parked open on roadside considering the heat built-up during summer days?
Thank you for your in-depth reviews. Could you try making videos with number plate readability of 2 wheelers and autos? In city driving 2 wheelers and autos cause most of the hit n run situations. Since the number plates in 2/3 wheelers are much smaller in size, it would be really helpful to understand if any dash cams currently in the market can capture the smaller plates. Kindly consider this in your future reviews. Thank you!
Thanks for your detailed review! I got this dashcam yesterday and installed it, but one thing I noticed is it doesn't record audio in the footage. Is this a normal thing or do I have to enable something for it to record audio as well?
Nice review as always!, I'm divided into this dashcam or the mirror type dashcam - I believe it does not have ADAS unlike this one as well as GPS and other sensors. Planning to have my phone dock somewhere and the app is opened and connected to this dashcam - by this setup I have a wider screen uaing my phone connected to the dashcam live and realtime while driving? - I think this is possible?
With ur great review recently installed in innova hycross. Superb quality but i have one query, for live recording on phone i have to switch off apple car play, both dashcame & apple carplay not working simultaneously, any solution from ur side.THANKS
Both dashcam live view and car play won't work simultaneously on the same phone. You can only use one feature at a time. Or you have to use an alternate phone for live view.
Daylight footage from front cam looks a bit cooler tone and not that punchy, but I'm surprised about night time footage of front cam which is more vibrant!
Will it be damaged if it is continuously exposed to sunrays during parking ?? Can you suggest a way to protect the dash cam from sunrays when the car is parked and exposed to sun.
I got confused between nexdigitron prime plus 4k dual channel and and 70mai a510. Can you please suggest me which one will be good. (70% of the time i am using the vehicle for night commutation )
The road story filter is not the same as advertised or shown in their website. There is no button to lock video or to protect the video. The ADAS cannot differentiate car or wall so when u reverse the car, it will say front car is moving. To get 60fps, turn off the HDR
You can stick the electrostatic sticker to the windshield and stick the dashcam on top of it. Advantage being you can easily remove the dashcam when needed and it won't leave any gum residue on the windshield
1. Does it has voice control feature for snapshots? 2. If i use 256 gbsd card at maximum resolution. How long will it take for memory card to be full? 3. How to install 24 hr parking monitor? Does it need a seperate kit?
It over writes non locked files so anything over 128gb is a waste but ensure it is High Max Extreme etc Endurance too help avoid corruption for heat cold or general wear
Thank you for the review. In my mobile the videos can't be played even with VLC updated APP, nor in the computer. Is there any settings which can help? I've set the resolution to the highest & recording duration 3 min.
Can we customize the dash cam by buying a 70 mi A510 for the front camera and for the rare camera I can buy a 70 mi M200. So both are starvis 2 cameras.
Between redtiger and 70mai which company has better after sales service?and kindly do let me know which is better between 70mai 810,70mai 510 and redtiger f17..Thanks in advance
The micro SD card that is given in the description seems to be suitable for normal storage applications like phone or tablet but not for cameras which have high write activity. Please suggest if it's otherwise. Thanks.
The memory cards suggested in the description (Samsung Evo Plus) are compatible with dashcams and recommended by 70mai. They are cheapest available and hence recommended as not everyone wants to spend more on sdcards. You can also purchase higher read/write speeds SD cards such as Pro Plus and Pro Ultimate, which are even better. Here is the link: amzn.to/3XnsnN9
Thanks for making this video. I was planning for RedTiger F7NT since long time but now I will go for A510. It's great and value for money product. Waiting for this Dashcam is totally worthful.
Hi i got one question it will be great if you can answer. what is the use of dashcam internal battery? and we dont want to hardwire the dashcam and use normal USB plug which only powers on when car is start. So whenever car is off will it be able to record shock and emergency clips? and how long do battery perform will it able to take care 1-2 nights of emergency footage recording through internal battery? How it actually works?
Battery is only for time keeping and to finish storing the last video file being recorded when power is suddenly disconnected (when you turn off the car). It doesn't work for recording shock and emergency clips. You need hardwire kit for that.
@@traveltechyoutube thanks for the reply. oh i see is there anyway to turn on parking surveillance mode via 12 volt socket or powerbank? like in my virtus 12v socket is always on do we have any adapter for auto cut feature under low voltage? How to get it work without hardwiring?
No way turn on parking monitoring without hardwire kit. Although in your virtus, it wil continue to record normal video even after car is off. To turn off the dashcam after a set period of time you can use this: th-cam.com/video/TedRC9Wu3ZE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RbHhLS48yfxrDnG3 Or this: th-cam.com/video/SQ-n1Zp3qhs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CdCiwoU8KioYa4e2
Is it using an internal battery or capacitor? Could u also make a video on the ADAS feature on the camera and the overlays available on the app, as and when convenient to u?
I plan to hardwire this dasham. I want to use parking mode only when I go for outstation trips. Is there an option to turnoff parking surveillance mode on this dashcam?
Bro. I have already Ordered A500s dual cam on flipkart (it ll arrrive in a week) for 9k after (cashback), Can i go for a510 dual cam, the price showing 12k(after cashback) in amazon, will it be a great difference? Budget also slightly Im concerning, If there isnt much diff, i keep a500s , pls your view on this?
That's a proper match to this. But the mini 2 comes @15K. The A510 front only comes @10K. So big price difference, making the A510 more value for money. What works for Mini 2 is is super small form factor and versatile recording options along with exceptionally good parking modes.
@@traveltechyoutube thank you. I also see lots of ppl not going for any 70mai cameras due to the battery instead of the super capacitor? Any thoughts on this. Thank you.

STORAGE:
1. The image/video processing algorithm in the system probably upscales the image causing it to have a similar bitrate as a normal recorded video for equal/balanced performance.
2. Higher storage is not 'always' better. Increased storage capacity requires hardware level changes. This depends on company policy. No workaround for this.
CONFUSION:
Between Nexdigitron Prime, Qubo 3K and 70mai A510 Dual, I would blindly go with A510.
Yes it's worth stretching the budget a bit. Go for it.
I have ordered 510 delivery awaited after watching your videos.. thanks for such helpful videos.. my question is that can you make a small video as to how the recordings work as in do the videos roll over once SD card is full or how does it work?
Yes videos roll over once SD card is Full. The oldest videos are deleted and newest ones are stored. This is called as loop recording
No doubt that 70mai provides best quality dashcam at reasonable price among all dashcams in market but one major drawbackb is it's battery instead of capacitor. That's why I am not in favour of 70 mai dashcams. Nice work...keep it up bro 👏
Thanks for watching!
What do you recommend then?
@@mayurahuja7955 I would recommend those dashcams with capacitor

Great Review. Does the Rear camera record when the car is in motion? In case someone rearends the vehicle.
When the car is on and the dashcam is connected via it's power cable, it records with both cameras.
Nice review Anna 👍🏻. For 12999 it's really a good Dashcam. I think if someone has a budget of 9999 then they should stretch their budget a little and go with Dual Channel Dashcam.
Agreed. Better to go with dual channel than front only.
This is going to be a game changer... Forcing competition to introduce similar models in similar pricing...
I hope they do introduce similar products, but it turns out they are very slow in doing so.
@@traveltechyoutube yeah else we would have seen something in 4-6k range with starvis 2
Perfect timing! Buying my new car this week, ORDERED this right away!!
What's the max size of memory card it supports?
256GB. Purchase link is in video description
Great review! The video quality of this dashcam looks impressive, especially in low-light conditions. I love the built-in GPS feature and the wide-angle lens. The parking mode and motion detection are also super handy for added security. Definitely considering this for my next dashcam purchase!
Couldn't agree more!
Once the memory card storage is full, how does the recording happens.
The dashcam automatically deletes the oldest recorded file and saves the newest one. This is called 'loop recording'
@@traveltechyoutube thks. what memory card We should buy for 70mai 510a any specific brands, 128 or 256 gb?
It's working well in my A510. Either there must be an issue with your unit or it might need a recalibration via factory reset.
@@mmindia1234 then this is major issue, do you got any update from 70mai/nexdigitron for this issue?

Thanks for detailed review.
I am planning to buy this for Thar.
Will this fit on (somewhat) vertical windshield of Thar ?
Yes it will, but only with suction mount. It won't fit or align well with vertical windshields straight out of the box. If you want to know more about suction mounts, watch this: th-cam.com/video/pOqSMjTT4U0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Rv0KyETT19Ac7hRg
Thank you for this detailed and extensive review. Your efforts to provide each and every detail and points with simple explanation helps in getting the useful information. This dashcam could potentially be a best seller and it's performance looks top notch. Looking forward to buy it.
Glad it was helpful!
Great review. What battery does it have? Is it a super - capacitor type?
It has in built battery and not super capacitor
Noted. If I hardwire it, should I still be concerned about the type of battery used ?
Nope.
Thanks for watching! 😊
Nice review brother, I am purchasing this.
Can you suggest a compatible memory card ?
Sure. Get this: amzn.to/3yyY0ZU
Amazing quality specially the front one. People should keep there budget 15k more when buying car. Like if a car is 8.5 on road they should keep it as 8.65 and install this at the very first day itself.
Amazing review as always.... For this dashcam, buying CPL filter will be useful n worth it?
Definitely worth it. CPL filter reduces glare and dashboard reflections from sunlight during daytime and streetlight during night time giving you a crystal clear video quality.
How about the service center for 70mai brand in chennai or other cities?
Service centre is currently only in Pune, as of now.
Always
@@traveltechyoutube Thank you so much buddy
This is going to be one of the best choice to consider in its price range.
Yes. Best for the price range.
Cons/ missing features-
Congratulations! Best purchase decision!
This vs A129 plus duo?
Thanks for the detailed videos!
A510
@traveltechyoutube thanks for your reply, I end up buying at A129 plus duo instead since it will be used in hot climate was concerned of the A510 Lion battery and it was on special 👍
Good choice. All the best 👍🏻

Hi I'm planning to buy a510 soon. By saying that I need to know one thig is SD card mandatory for this dashcam or can we also record videos without external SD card either on internal memory(What is the internal memory on Dash cam and how much Video we can store) or on Mobile.

It doesn't have internal memory. External memory card is mandatory
Great stuff brother. My reverse parking cam just failed. Can I buy a dash cam with front and rear cam, and use the rear cam of the dash cam as a reverse parking camera?
No you cannot pair your older rear camera with the new one. Ofcourse you can do it if the new one you are buying is the same as the old one.
Appreciate the effort you put and i always look forward to your genuine reviews. One suggestion would be to show number plate clarity of two wheelers and autos because these are the major culprits who just run away easily.
Also, does it have a in built battery?
Noted! And yes, it has in built battery.
@@traveltechyoutube can you tell me why inbuilt battery
Thanks for reviewing this. Wanted to know if its safe to buy this for my car which is always parked open on roadside considering the heat built-up during summer days?
Yes it is safe.
@@traveltechyoutube thanks 🙏🏽
Thank you for your in-depth reviews. Could you try making videos with number plate readability of 2 wheelers and autos? In city driving 2 wheelers and autos cause most of the hit n run situations. Since the number plates in 2/3 wheelers are much smaller in size, it would be really helpful to understand if any dash cams currently in the market can capture the smaller plates. Kindly consider this in your future reviews. Thank you!
Sure will do 👍🏻
Thanks for your detailed review!

Superb quality but i have one
query, for live recording on phone i have to switch off apple car play, both dashcame
& apple carplay not working simultaneously, any solution from ur side.THANKS
Both dashcam live view and car play won't work simultaneously on the same phone. You can only use one feature at a time. Or you have to use an alternate phone for live view.
Daylight footage from front cam looks a bit cooler tone and not that punchy, but I'm surprised about night time footage of front cam which is more vibrant!
Was waiting for a long time must needed video and dashcam ❤

Between the 70mai A510 Dual Channel Dashcam and the DDPAI N5 Dual Channel 4K, which one would you recommend?
A510
The road story filter is not the same as advertised or shown in their website.
There is no button to lock video or to protect the video.
The ADAS cannot differentiate car or wall so when u reverse the car, it will say front car is moving.
To get 60fps, turn off the HDR
A quite important observation... Been completely overlooked by 70mai...
Thanks for highlighting it 👍🏻🙏🏻
Is it true that a dash cam with battery is not good for indian warm weather? Should we go for dashcam with capacitor?
In theory. In practical terms, and based on history, there is no evidence of dashcams with battery being bad for Indian weather.
what is the use of spare electrostatic sticker which are provided in the packing?
You can stick the electrostatic sticker to the windshield and stick the dashcam on top of it. Advantage being you can easily remove the dashcam when needed and it won't leave any gum residue on the windshield
Hands down this is best dashcam on the market right now
For its budget segment, agreed.
It comes with Li ion battery right? Will it last (for 3plus years) in the 40 plus degrees Indian climate conditions?

2. If i use 256 gbsd card at maximum resolution. How long will it take for memory card to be full?

No Voice Control part of how they keep costs down
Parking mode use OBD 2 Power Supply easier and safer than Hardwire or Fuse kits ensure in Settings cut off is at 12.4v so battery can't drain 2 much
It over writes non locked files so anything over 128gb is a waste but ensure it is High Max Extreme etc Endurance too help avoid corruption for heat cold or general wear

That's a proper match to this. But the mini 2 comes @15K. The A510 front only comes @10K. So big price difference, making the A510 more value for money. What works for Mini 2 is is super small form factor and versatile recording options along with exceptionally good parking modes.
