I've only recently discovered this Rebab instrument and now I can't stop listening to this. I am absolutely mesmerized by the sound of it. It's so flat and you can hear how deliberate each pluck of a string is. Something about that makes it sound so beautiful. You do an absolutely wonderful job at keeping the Rebab in the modern era and you prove it still has its place, Mr. Ali Qazi.
Now, I'll just listen to this song like 50 more times today.
Youngsters taking interest in Rabob (Rabab) and playing new tunes with it thats why Rabab is still widely liked in new world.
I'm 45 and have recently started learning to play classical music on the Rubab. I was just fascinated by the beauty of this instrument in the beginning and now I'm amazed at how versatile Rubab is!!

I'm from Kashmir and this gives me goosebumps! Rabab is an idespensible part of Kashmiri folk music. We always thought Rabab was our instrument. But, ofcourse it was brought to Kashmir by Afghan rulers. Nevermind, we Kashmiris resemble so much with our Pashto brothers in our culture and looks etc. Love from Kashmir. We are one! 🌺
