The Rabab is showing up more and more everywhere,and I couldn't be happier! I began falling in love with the people and culture of Afghanistan about 40 years ago when studying Music Composition and Comparative Religion. I had only begun to learn about this magnificent country when the Russian tanks began rolling in,and I have been carrying a torch in my heart ever since. It seemed around 2010 that we had turned a corner,but now the rebirth of Afghan music - let alone peace and safety, is hanging by a thread still. I can't do enough to promote Afghan music and the hope for the future of the Afghan people. For those who enjoyed this,there's so much more! Please,check out some of my favorites:Ajmal Omid,his brother Aimal Omid,Farhad Darya,Qais Essar,Saiid Sayaad,Marjan Farsad..I'll stop here - but there's so many more! I'm wholeheartedly grateful for the good thoughts and wishes for my country and its people. Afghan was a very diversified, liberal and religiously peaceful society but foreigners extremists and global powers turned our country into ruins. I so wish to see it back on it's feet

The cameraman, sound technician, musicians and composers made a once in a while masterpiece !! I found it by coincidence on TH-cam and I couldn’t stop playing it over and over. The camera captured the players souls as they’re playing that I was able to go deep in their worlds as they create the heavenly tunes.
