Currently trying to get fit or die trying. I am super excited to have some races on my the schedule. I got a few more weeks of hard training before I hop in my first post collegiate track race. With this being only my 2nd week of workouts the speed is coming back much quicker than expected.

From the suburbs just north of NYC... great video. My immediate thought was that you should not feel down after a double run, Then, near the end of the video, you made it clear that you have to make yourself feel positive to run your best times. Great to hear that. Wild salmon has more nutrients than farmed. Also, farmed fish has additives for red coloring. Go wild!!! After the video I drove over to Fogama, my spot for sushi...wild!!! Thanks, as always, for motivating viewers to be their best inside or out in the cold. I'll be outside on the track tomorrow morning.

Fascinating. What is the advantage of doing two workouts in a day versus one workout, a few days rest, and then another workout? With the two-a-day workouts, how do you plan recovery differently? How do you do recovery differently (if it all)?
So 2 threshold workouts in one day is nice because it allows you to keep volume up while also keeping intensity low. So it’s not too taxing on the legs. The split is Tuesday/Thursday workout with a Saturday long run. My mileage is lower than usual as well which keeps my easy days pretty chill

this is low-key different than the subject but what is the main difference between 10 day training schedule and 1 week schedule.
Recovery time. Those who need a little more time between workouts and long runs. 10 days allows for 2 days of recovery between 2 workouts and a long run :)

Question: as a sophomore in high school with prs of 4:59 and 10:51 in a base phase ehat mileage would be appropriate? I just finished my first week with 50 on the dot
I’m no expert but I would say that 50-60 range should set you up really well for your track season, unless you’re feeling really fatigued , then drop it down
