Thanks for the comment! We like the realness of Dan working in a busy shop but we're looking to take our videos to the next level post lockdown! We'll hopefully move them to more of a studio private setting relatively soon after so that you get the best videos. It's all a gradual process of moving through stages and building! So furious. Was looking forward to getting this haircut after our quarantine. Have been growing out the top of my hair so I had about 5-5.5 inches on top. Showed my barber pictures, described it as you did in the beginning. He tells me he's got me, but needs to take a bit of length off. Told him do what he needs to do, but to keep it as long as possible, I like length and not having to fuss with my hair. 40 minutes later with my back to the mirror, I'm down to about an inch of a half of hair on the top of my head. Maybe 2 inches at the front... There goes my summer haircut
Update that literally no one cares about. Tried styling it today and was so angry by the end I wanted to break the mirror. Absolutely nothing I can do with this haircut other than spike it up in the front and look like a 14 year old in 2004.
Would be awesome to see a video of the tools that Dan is using/have used in the past and compare them and which he likes better, im talking about clippers, trimmers, shears etc :)

Chris Hemsworth's haircut was more disconnected on the sides. None the less this is still a great haircut, just the sides are blended too well so to speak

Ok so I cut a housemates hair using your techniques and I think I got most of it at least to to some level of understanding. Something that is really confusing me is the crown. We sectioned his hair straight through the middle of the crown at the back of his head. After the clipper work and cutting the top I see you comb the top hair out from the crown so you have something to blend with the top at the back. But if the initial sectioning is through the middle of the crown aren't I taking hair against it's growth pattern? Thanks for all the videos. Will try and get a cut from you post lockdown!
I think it depends on where the horseshoe ends up on an individual's particular hair and the particular finished look he's going for in regards to how he deals with the crown. I've watched quite a few of his videos and he always does the crown last and it's almost always a bit different in each video. Based on the amount of care put into it I think it's the most difficult part to cut and is largely based on experience unfortunately.
So if I follow the guide after cutting off the amount of hair I want from the back of the head will I automatically take of less hair while I keep moving toward the front of the head?
I really want this hair cut, but it'll probably be a huge pain in the ass to do on me cos I have a double crown which are wild and the hair on both can not be tamed at all xD
