Hard to post this after finding so many errors I made in the hive while editing the video. I though I knew what my biggest mistake was. I was wrong again! Can’t wait to see the comments on this one. I probably need to get some glasses!?!

Saw a small hive beetle running across 13:45, please be aware with the weakened state of your colonies!!!
Glad to see your bees doing better though, good luck with the new queen!

Thank you both for calling that out. As I was editing, there are several SHB's you will see crawling around. There is one on the edge of the top box I never noticed.

It's not necessarily dark honey, all honey looks dark against black plastic foundation. Take a bit on the hive tool to see the colour.

When is this ? Again, formic pro is very heavy on the bees so no surprise queen is missing. As backyard beekeeper you should stay away from treating with honey suppers on, even if formic pro says you can. I thought I saw eggs in few cells so you may missed the queen.

First of June. I saw eggs too. Running way behind trying to make time to edit and post. Thanks for watching so closely.
Have you heard of anything happening to honey with Formic Pro? Or is it a best practice when you have something you're going to eat on the hive.?.

@@aPlaceintheHive I just wouldn’t do it with any mite treatment while supers are on. I would also not use synthetic treatments. However, I think you had another issue here. Having high mite load in June is just too early, which means your bees were full of mites when you got them. Get in a habit of testing for mites, it’s the only way to be sure and IPM board mite count is not accurate, use sugar roll or alcohol wash instead.
