Thats crazy ingenious to add the polymer to the steel mag so you dont have to switch out the mag release. Personally, I think PSA is giving Shield Arms a run for their money AND they can actually manufacture them in huge amounts unlike Shield. They'll sell fast if they can prove their reliability.

It is literally an aftermarket magazine since it isn't Glock OEM. That is the definition of aftermarket. Many people have had issues with this magazine and the shield magazines. Many people don't.
@@insanity4082 you wouldn’t shove a Glock mag into a dagger and call it an “aftermarket magazine” psa made those magazines for the micro dagger. Shield arms on the other hand is straight up aftermarket.
I put off buying PSA micro dagger mags until this past weekend because I spent a fortune on shield arms mags that did not work reliably. Shield did try to narrow the problems down, but every time I was having to test him with another 1 to 200 rounds, and that was getting really expensive just to try to make a magazine work. Over the past month or so, these PSA mags look pretty good. If they are flawless for me, I will EDC them. Or, I mean, EDC one and carry an OEM as a back up. If they don't work perfectly, I may very well just go back to my Glock 26 with the 12 round mag pinky extension and be done with all the experimenting.
@@zVoidddSo far, 220 rounds (both 115 and 124) between two of the mags (about 25 of which were HST and Golden Saber +P), and absolutely zero malfunctions.
Why’d you spend a fortune on mags you didn’t bother to test first? Buy one, run it, then spend a fortune when you know it’s reliable in your gun. You did that to yourself.
33 year Glock user and armorer. First, no crisis on the capacity. 10 rounds of 9mm ammo would normally be enough to deal with most threats excepting maybe multiple attackers are with hi-cap firearms. As far as the 15 round mags go, I have 12 S15 mags (all gens) on hand and never experienced a single stoppage from any of them and am part of a professional group of 10 instructors and law enforcement officers/deputies who carry the G43X/48 exclusively with S15 mags. Between us, we have now accumulated over the 100,000 round count with only a handful of ammo related stoppages far below the general stoppage criteria many depts have in place. That being noted, I readily recognize there have been issues with the S15 mags but there are a multitude of reasons these stoppages have occurred. The primary focus of mag to gun fit interfacing is of the biggest concern as I have had a number of people bring their G43X/48 pistols to me and we did find issues with function but interestingly, those mags worked flawlessly in my personal and test guns. Here is the reason why, most are unaware that the G43X/48 frames made stateside have had a lot of variances in the frame geometries which have been known to cause a slew of issues but in the case of the S15 mags, one frame may demonstrate more play between the mag and frame than others. The way Gaston Glock designed the original mags was that they would expand when fully loaded as to create a reasonably tight fit with the frame but then be easy to remove (note: the first gen mags for the original P80 and G17 were not drop free on hitting the mag release). So OEM mags are not known for having a loose fit when loaded. Hence why Gen 3 S15 mags have the added warts on the back of the mags to assure tighter fit to mitigate frame variations. As far as the PSA mags, seen a mix of luck with them but in my tests they worked fine. The key is Test Firing no matter what your gear may be.
I just commented on this... There's a gunsmith on TH-cam who mainly does ARs but he did a video on this dice his wife carries a 43x, she wanted the capacity, and he didn't wanna install a metal mag catch for the S15 mags... His video showed the PSA mag lips catch on to the slide release when being inserted into the firearm... Now as you say, since there's intentional play there, not all 43Xs will have this issue but it was really informative to see his issue and his simple fix of buffing and filing the PSA mag lips... In his video, he shows how the PSA mag would do this instead of just some subjective whining, and being a professional armorer like yourself, he goes over it step by step so normal idiots like myself can see it properly... I'm the idiot for forgetting his channel but I'm sure if you looked up "PSA micro dagger mag in Glock 43x" you'll see it... Ok I looked it up... "School of the American Rifle" is the channel
I just had two PSA 15 round mags fail in my Glock 43X. Neither mag will lock the slide back after the last round. Not my grip, not the gun. The factory Glock mags work, the Shield Arms mags with the metal mag release / catch work. I'm a PSA fan and have lots of their products and know people that run the micro Dagger 15 round mags in their Glocks with no problems. My mags seem to have a follower issue. I can put the Shield Arms spring and follower in the PSA mag and it feeds and locks back after the last round. Just sent a request in to PSA to see what they say. Nice video. Thanks for the information.
The Glock 43x/48 is the only gun we trust aftermarket mags in. Beretta 92 and 1911 come to mind that both have after market mags that work just as good as factory.
The beretta 92 has “aftermarket” mags by MecGar, an OEM manufacturer. I have used aftermarket mags in my 1911, I.e. Wilson Combat, a great company and they wouldn’t run.
I trust my life to mags that work. Idgaf if it's OEM, I care if it's reliable. The shield arms mags are trash, but so far the PSA mags have been 100% reliable for me
Had 5 stovepipes in my microdagger mag through 150 rounds of fmj in my stock g48. I do think it was likely related to limp wristing as I don’t get to shoot often. Only time will tell for my mag and as I become a better shooter though. No issues with my oem glock mag though.
If you are going to use the PSA mag you need to put your Glock mag release back in. That metal release will eventually damage the polymer on your Orem and psa mags.
Finally managed to get my hands on them today, and am thinking of adopting that 'Factory Loaded/PSA Backup' idea while I work them in. Love the feel and spring retention of them; as the former fits in well with the factory mags (as opposed to, though understandably, the Shield ones). Glad to see all of the reviews that I've seen, so far, have been solid reliability. If they work out, they'll fix the only issue I have with my 43X. 🤞(Update: they didn't...FTFs and uploaded a video of some)
My EDC IS A GLOCK 43X with Ameri-Glo night sights and15 round shield arms magazine (s) with Hornady Critical Defense. About to order the PSA Dagger magazine as well.
I bought 5 of these. 3 slick and 2 black mags and a couple of them had issues with the follower getting binding around the 10rd mark when shooting. The others have been perfect. Taking them apart and wiping them with a microfiber cloth and rem oil has helped a good amount. I’ll be keeping them loaded for a while to see if things issues go away.
I have had no issues with my PSA mags. Shooting Blazer brass and Spear gold dots. I use one for carry now because why not carry 15 instead of 10. I totally trust it. One word of advice. If it is really hard to get the last round in any mag use it one down instead until it loosens up a bit. I find when magazines are very difficult to load it can lead to malfunctions.
I don’t feel like 10 rounds is insufficient. I also dont have difficulty concealing a g19 or m&p 2.0 compact. 43x/48 w/ shied mags is a hard recommend with all the micro 9mms with more capacity and better track record: p365, shield plus, canik mete mc9, iwi slim, mossberg mc2c/mc2sc, and even taurus g3c and gx4. Solution in search of a problem. Different tool might be the solution.
Stopped carrying my G43X after I got my Shield Plus Optics Ready, both great pistols, but I prefer the Shield Plus! I like it for its increased capacity, I carry with the 13 round magazine, but can also use the 15 rounders! I mounted the EPS Carry and it’s been a fantastic combination, plus the M&P Shields are dead reliable! I have an original Shield 9mm that I’ve had for many years and it’s never given me issue and this is exactly my experience thus far with the Shield Plus!
Shield is hard to beat. I have piles of guns laying around including all the models in this video. Shield is my carry choice. I can knock down 6" plates at 50 yards like it's a machinegun. The kahr is as fast but not as light or easy to carry.
@@BasedHyperborean I will have to agree with you on the majority of their pistols, but the Shield being the one exception that I actually do find appealing!
I saw on school of the American rifle that he did some polishing on the mags. I tried what he did and it works like it should made it function properly so far with 500 rds through its
I’ve heard of issues with the magazine follower nose diving, sometimes causing FTF issues. I tested this with my micro dagger last weekend. Loaded magazines to capacity, then loaded it to ten, eight and six rounds. No issues with either magazine. One FTE, but I attribute that to possibly limp wrist. Through first 180 rounds, only one FTE. Pretty good start. I’ll do another 2-300 rounds (I mix it up between Tula stem case, Blazer, and other FMJ rounds. After break in period, I’m going to cycle JHP carry ammo. If it continues to eat like my Glocks and P80 builds it’ll join my EDC rotation.
the case of the glock 43x is a prime example of how muh glock perfection stifles innovation. they could have come up with their own metal magazine solution to the capacity issue, but because everything they do is perfect, including plastic magazines, it had to be left up to other people to do that to which they're too cowardly and unimaginative.
43x is the same size as the p365 X macro. And xmacro is more modular, comes with 3 magazines and has proved to be just as reliable as the 43x. Only downside is price but it’s only 200 more than a MOS 43x
@@gtlogic2362 I’m seeing a bunch of reviews about the P365 X Macro rusting. For over $800? No thanks. I expect better quality control for that amount of money. I’ll stick to my G43X with the 15 round PSA Micro Dagger mags.
I’ve tried a brand new micro dagger mag and had pretty good results. One hiccup with 100 rounds through it (FTF). I’ve heard, but have yet to verify, that the mags can have plastic shavings on the inner wall that can interfere with the follower and spring moving freely. I’d check out some other videos on TH-cam if you’re having problems
I currently have 3 of the standard micro dagger magazines and 2 of the “slick” stainless ones. All of them have been 100% reliable at the range. Emphasis on the words “at the range” at least. As i loaded up one of the magazines as soon as I got it in the mail and the follower proceeded to get completely stuck at the bottom of the mag. Was only able to fix it by taking it apart and reassembling. Was pretty weird and I’ve kept a close eye on that magazine in particular. Even still, each magazine has at least 100 rounds through them by now. Not a single issue.
I totally understand the desire to wanna run a 15rd mag but I also carry a Glock because they are rugged and reliable. I’m too afraid that the day I really need it it could malfunction. I traded my shield mags for more 10 rd OEM Glock mags. Not that had any issues I just feel better. It is definite a personal decision for each of us. Great video.
If your that afraid it sounds like more of a training and testing issue. Even oem mags can fail i have unfortunately have had several. Train with your firearm figure out what to do if it malfunctions. But dont assume oem is always going to work out perfect
@@boomee78I doubt people got money to run thousands of rounds on a aftermarket mag just to prove it’s reliability. All of that testing to just just 3-4 shots when you actually need to use it..
There was another TH-camr that showed some modernist you can do to the mags to make them work.I forgot the name but I'm sure it's easy to find. Part of the issue that he showed was that the shell casing was just barely catching on the top forward edge of the mag. If the spring is weak, the shell will catch more easily. The other issue with the PSA mags is that the plastic on the side catches on the slide release. They may have fixed these issues by noe, but its a couple things to look for it you're having problems.
There's a gunsmith fella on TH-cam who normally works on ARs but he did do a video on this exact topic and found that if you are using this setup of PSA mags, than you might wanna check out his video... he's a certified gunsmith who's not just tripping on subjective material... In his video, he shows the issue that COULD arise from using PSA micro dagger mags in a Glock 43x (main issue is the mag lips pushing on the slide stop/release) and he posits some simple solutions... If you're seriously buying the PSA micro dagger mags for use in your 43x, I'd check it out... The mag lips will catch on the slide release as it is being loaded into the frame and some buffing and filing fixes it... School of the American Rifle is the channel
Well I just got the Glock 43x Mos to have an option for a new edc. I ordered shield arms 15 round magazines and a steel magazine release. I have put about 400 rounds through my new gun and had no problems. My other edc is the Sig Sauer P365 X-Macro comp. It's a hard choice on which gun to pick everyday. But I still do have the 2 magazines that came with the Glock. But the X macro has 17 rounds. Hopefully I won't have a problem out of my 15 round clips for the Glock. 👍
I always keep my Shield mags at 13(+1) instead of 15(+1)...not sure if it makes a difference, but I just don't like keeping that much tension on my springs for months at a time. Regardless I haven't experienced a single issue with any of my mags after 6 months and several hundred rounds. Deff gonna have to give those PSA mags a try though.
Just picked up 2 of the micro dagger mags for my 43x. definitely need a loader to load the magazines, but so far I'm pretty happy with them. Next stop the range to see how they perform.
The PSA mags are a good choice, but they too have some production issues with some units that have to be addressed. The Gen 3 S 15's have taken care of their issues except for those Glock units whose mag wells are way far out of spec. But with th eS15's you must put in a steel mag catch/release whereas the PSA mags need the poly mag catch which allows you to continue using your OEM mags.
I have a G48 and I use only OEM magazines in it. I shoot the 48 well, especially the MOS version with a Holosun EPS Carry, but I carry a G26 much ore often.
@@Fractal_blip That is a difficult question to answer. To a degree it depends on whether you prioritize the ability to conceal the pistol or the ability to shoot the pistol as well as possible. I can conceal either models and I can shoot either of them well. The G26 conceals a bit easier and the G19 shoots a bit softer. Your best bet is to try both and see which one appeals to you. I tend to carry the 26 more than the 19. Good luck with your decision. You can’t go wrong with either choice.
3:12 I had the same problem with my Z9 mags. I won’t ever trust shield arms again. I don’t care that everyone says how good the S15 mags are, I just can’t trust the company. Switching out my mag catch is also a deal breaker for me
What we certainly need is a Glock 26X. A Glock 26 double stacked handgun with a full grip that uses G19 mags. That would be the absolute perfect EDC handgun. I would buy it in an freaking instant.
I have 4 PSA mags with my dagger micro. All 4 of them have seriously reliability issues. At least some type of failure with almost every mag- sometimes 2. Unfortunately, I have to stick with the glock 10rd for carry. I've seen some videos of people filing down the PSA mags that apparently helps but that's just too much work for me.
The capacity of the 43x was extremely underwhelming for its size. When the shield arms mags came out to attempt to fix that issue it came with WAY to many caveats like wearing down the mag catch, reliability issues, that made the 43x a no go for EDC. When the dagger micro came out I thought it was going to be the same story with unreliability and mag catches but it looks like they nailed it. 15 rounds in a compact carry. PSA is creating such a low barrier to entry for citizens to defend themselves and its very commendable.
PSA magazines are damn near perfect, using in both the 43X & 48. Any issues i may have experienced when shooting was corrected by changing how i grip the firearm, pointed out by a instructor. As always train, train, train. AND take a shooting class offered a reputable instructor. Thanks for the video!
Aftermarket in general saves glock because it's standard as soon as you get a glock the sights, trigger, springs slidelock and mag release all get swamped out then barrels and you have to go Aftermarket to get an optic on the slide
You mentioned the grip too fast to understand who makes it. I wear out my talon pros about every 4 months on my 48MOS, looking for a better solution. Your comment about Glock cutting the grip and using the smaller 10 round magazine, describes the Shadow CR920.
I saw a OEM glock 10 rounder fail to feed the other day, bullet nose dived in the magazine. Really hit me right in the feels. I didn't get to see what led up to the malfunction, only the aftermath.
I carry a gen 4 glock 23 Completely stock. I have a TLR-1HL on it and I run a TREX sidecar IWB holster. Hornady 180 grain XTP. Love the channel keep up the good work!
I already have the shieldarms metal mag release on g43x & 2 shield arms mags along with 2 shield arms. A gen 1 with plus 5 base extension & a gen2 without the extension. Not a single problem so far lol I’ve had this gun & mags for about a year & a half. Definitely QA issues too many mixed opinions on shields. My 17 is & will stay stock though sights only 🔥🔥🔥
I ordered an LAS concealment holster. The ronin 3.0. Was very excited for it. However my gun doesn’t “click” into place with it and has ZERO retention. It’s extremely loose fitting so I’m highly disappointed… So I just ordered a blacksmith tactical V2. I chose to have them send me whatever random mystery color they choose. So we’ll see how that goes. Used your discount code and am excited to see how it fits.
I have a 43x with a blacksmith tactical holster and ulti clip setup. Favorite minimalist setup. It's not my favorite gun, but the setup works so well I enjoy carrying it over my other options I have! Dissappears on me and is super lightweight.
Have some of the silver “Slick” finish Micro mags and some of the black Micro mags. The last round is tight to get in (use a maglula loader too). But no issues running the mags topped off 4 or 5 times each.
Glock 48 with PSA MD Mags for me too! I have a Zaffiri Precision 43X ported slide and barrel with holosun EPS Carry mounted; but when I carry without optics, I use my G48 slide with the Trijicon DI Night Sights. Also have the ghost connector installed with an I.T.T.S. trigger from Tyrant CNC. It's the most flexible slim/micro 9 out there because of all the aftermarket solutions. I love my XMacro and XL too. Possibly the most complete kit out of the box experience there is! All I had to do to them was clean and oil them and mount my optics on them. I did add +2 MagGuts to the 12 rnd mags for my XL to make them 14+1 though. That's it! I also have my HC/HCP/XDM Elite as well. This is the golden era of sidearms for sure! My Glock 19, 17, 29, and 43 are always on standby for when SHTF though!

Shit,I’ve even wash a loaded one in the washer machine and mag dump my 124 federal hst the day after. I can say that I can trust the gun/magazine to save my life when I needed it. I’m currently at 1500+ rounds and counting with my 43x MOS. My first gun I’ve bought. Take care of your gear and it will take care of you.
Great info. I like Shield mags Gen 3 for my 43x because I know were they're made. The Check-Mate Magazine Company is making them for Shield Arms Gen 3 not sure of Gen 2. Check-Mate made Beretta M9 Mags for the US Govt. contract for years you have to have USA made companies for any contract for the US Govt. Mecgar can not be in the M9 for those contract so Check-Mate was award the contract. I don't know were PSA is having there mags made could be a GREAT company. You can trust Shield mags for carry Check-Mate makes Kimber mags also and the Sig P365. The reason Sig has mags made there is Conan the President of Sig use to work for Kimber. How do I know my friend Dennis was the custom shop manger for Kimber for years told when Conan left to be President of Sig he coped a lot of stuff from Kimber. Sig mags maybe not all but P365 are made by Check-Mate fact. Also I have a Ramm Tactical trigger in my 43x and Karl the owner his personal carry gun is 43x/Shield Mags. Karl said Shield told him 2 to 3 days before you use new mags load them up full springs will take a set.
I have a ton of issues with the s15 gen 3 in a 43x mos. First couple hundred rounds were flawless out of 5 s15 mags. Went to an all day class shot 500 rounds and they all jammed relentlessly. It was embarrassing. Some mags worse than others but I rarely made it through a whole mag without a couple stovepipes. FTE, and. FTF. I just ordered 3 psa daggers I’m hoping for the best. Sent mags back to shield arms they replaced them with mags that still jam. Wasted a lot of money but that’s the game I guess.
I EDC a Glock 17 and use Hornaday Critical Duty ammo, but I've really been wanting to get me a 43xmos for easier carry during summertime. Also I've been wanting to try out that Norma ammo
I interested to hear what your findings are. My wife is looking to purchase her first ccw and she really loves the G43X. I definitely want her to carry something that will be reliable.
I don’t consider either Shield or PSA mags reliable compared with factory Glock mags. They both have their own set of issues. Ultimately I would solve the capacity issue by switching to a Hellcat Pro. Same size pistol, 15 round RELIABLE steel mags, steel sights, and a much better trigger.
My two Shield Arms mags FAIL consistantly in one configuration. 15+1. First round fires but second round fails to feed. Drop the mag, clear the failure, reinsert mag, next round stovepipes. However, every round from there on runs fine. Slide back, insert full mag, release slide...failure to feed. This is no EDC mag!
They have the HMC9, which is a G43 that uses P365 magazines. I have no clue why Glock hasn't done it yet. I've been saying it since before the P365 even came out (since the G42 came out). Was a bad decision for them to stick with polymer magazines from the start, because the thick walls reduce capacity... and they also had Zero mag compatibility issues, because the mags were single stack for the G42 and G43. (and the G42 was .380acp too).
Wait until you run the +5 from Excess Arms and have a solid, reliable, 20rnd stick that makes the G43X/48 liable for sidecar carry, or having fun in USPSA/Steel Challenge
Hell I own 2 shield arms gen 1 mags been running them for about 3 or 4 years now no issues. I also purchased 3 PSA slick finish mags but haven’t even taken them out the plastic because my SA mags run fine.
I just bought two of the Dagger mags and I'm waiting to run a few hundred rounds through them before I go all in on using them, but the more videos I see on them the better I feel about them.
Using and buying aftermarket mags is really unnecessary for the 43x and 48. What’s wrong with carrying Glock OEM 10-rnd mags in the pocket and practice reloading? I carry OEM in the pocket and two 10- rnds in my pocket and enjoy my day.
You’re essentially describing a g26. 1/4 of a inch width difference, and reliable oem magazines of any size needed if that’s your jam. I don’t understand the 43x hype when the improvement it needs exists in a firearm that’s been around for 30 years.
There are 3 companies that make 15-round magazines for the 43x and 48 Glock. PSA magazines did a better job and has been !00% in fit and function over several range visits so I trust them 100% because they worked in feeding and locking back the slide on the last round every time.
I think your poll yesterday speaks for itself. A large majority of people do not trust aftermarket 43x mags for conceal carry. To me, conceal carry is like wearing a seatbelt. If there is even a .01% chance of it not working when I need it to... I'm going to opt for the factory reliability. Of course, Glock could just make 43x mags that hold 15 rounds factory... Anyways, just my 2 cents.
This debate will rage on for years. For me, None of the PSA mags lock the slide on the last round on my 43x, but do just fine in the micro dagger. The Gen 3 S15's run flawlessly.

The polymer mag release on metal mag is a scam anyway. Guess how often your slide makes contact with your polymer frame? Every shot.

I’ve heard the Gen 3 S15 mags run great.
1911 shooters have been running non-OEM mags for like 50 years or more.
PSA is really out here making moves.
@@bowl816 wilson combat is only 1911 mag i buy. Mine came with a mecgar which also works great.
I trust my life to mags that work. Idgaf if it's OEM, I care if it's reliable. The shield arms mags are trash, but so far the PSA mags have been 100% reliable for me
Got a new micro dagger mag for my 43x. Ran about 200 rounds of AAC 115gr FMJ no issue yet.
Ran 1000 rounds of JHP through my PSA mags with no malfunctions. I'd say they're good to go for EDC.
What brand? Thanks for Sharing!
oof that had to be expensive.
Why would you run 1000 rds of JHP? What was the point of that expensive and wasteful exercise?
Thank you!! That was the question I was going to ask! Everyone showing flawless with FMJ means nothing .
@@woodystube1000because he wants to know it’s going to work with real ammo.
Nice setup! respect
Talking about the dagger mags? Thanks for sharing.
Ruger lcp max 380 carried today. put a box of Underwood 380 ACP 90 gr XYP JHP as per your suggestion. No issues.
They’re just so… fugly tho. S&W makes the Walmart jeans of guns.
@@BasedHyperborean I will have to agree with you on the majority of their pistols, but the Shield being the one exception that I actually do find appealing!
Agreed
Thank so much I have a 43X & looking to get the PSA Dagger Mads. This makes it an easy decision. Thanks again!
Just ordered PSA mags for my 43x. Super excited to try them out.
I love my PSA micro dagger mags! Definitely puts the 43X above other EDC guns
They run flawlessly! Since I made the video another 200 flawless rounds.
the case of the glock 43x is a prime example of how muh glock perfection stifles innovation. they could have come up with their own metal magazine solution to the capacity issue, but because everything they do is perfect, including plastic magazines, it had to be left up to other people to do that to which they're too cowardly and unimaginative.
@@davidnewcomer5120 havnt had any issues with mine and I sweat on it everyday without cleaning it or oiling it.
@@losoway4505 you know what they say about assuming
@losoway4505 you dont have to run thousands and thousands of rounds to prove its reliable if i do that its a training round dude

YES, you need all 3 components to come together ammo, mags and pistol for reliable self defense.
Yessir! That’s a fact. Respect!
Mete mc9 in a muddy river tactical holster is my edc
Same here I shoot the 43x well but I’m just always more comfortable with the 26.
Would you recommend the g26 over the g19?
@@Fractal_blip That is a difficult question to answer. To a degree it depends on whether you prioritize the ability to conceal the pistol or the ability to shoot the pistol as well as possible. I can conceal either models and I can shoot either of them well. The G26 conceals a bit easier and the G19 shoots a bit softer. Your best bet is to try both and see which one appeals to you. I tend to carry the 26 more than the 19. Good luck with your decision. You can’t go wrong with either choice.
@@charlesj.6563 thanks for the reply!
Yes agreed! I’ve been calling for that for forever! Respect. I have the 26L but we want the 26x!
I’d be happy with just a G26 gen 5 Mos with accessory rail
And done
My macro & p365 would be gone in a heartbeat
I have 4 PSA mags with my dagger micro. All 4 of them have seriously reliability issues. At least some type of failure with almost every mag- sometimes 2. Unfortunately, I have to stick with the glock 10rd for carry. I've seen some videos of people filing down the PSA mags that apparently helps but that's just too much work for me.
springs being under tension doesn't cause wear. it's the cycling of springs that do. Keeping a magazine loaded doesn't cause any damage to springs.
Omg look up the issues, do your so diligence and do some research.
@@spnfirearms doing so, thats why i watch your videos and said thanks. Being you are a more experienced shooter your videos are valved and respected.
Send it off to get stippled
This is why I personally carry a 365 XL. The larger capacity mags are OEM and are reliable.
Fair enough! Respect!
And have it go off in your leg? No thanks

Did you not see that montville incident? Striker fired Sigs can’t be trusted.
I saw a OEM glock 10 rounder fail to feed the other day, bullet nose dived in the magazine.

1911s have been used for defense with aftermarket mags for generations
I was going to say 1911s are the other aftermarket mags that people carry.
Does the 43X have a better grip angle than a full size Glocks?
Great tip about the PSA 15 round mags I want aware they were available👍!
I got you! And the Glock 43x is the best feeling Glock and best angled Glock so yes that is true!
Ordered two of these. Had nothing but issues. I would never trust the PSA mags for edc. Sent them back. Jam machines
Check out the CR920 from Shadow Systems. It's a regular 43 size that hold 10rds or 13rds with the extended mag.
I’m quite fond of the 48.
Love my 48 as well! Respect
Just ordered the psa magazine, going to put it through the tests. TY
I have 10 Shield Arms S15 Gen 2s and have put many many hundreds of rounds through and never had a single issue with any of them.
Ordered 3 PSA mags for my 43X. All of them had issues. I’ll stick with OEM.
Yup I’ve seen those! I’m very interested in give them a go!
@@spnfirearms Would be cool to see. I really wish they would have followed through on the 80% version.
Wait until you run the +5 from Excess Arms and have a solid, reliable, 20rnd stick that makes the G43X/48 liable for sidecar carry, or having fun in USPSA/Steel Challenge
Just the fact you don’t have to replace the mag release makes it a better value.
Glock 48 shield arms magazine release gen 2 magazine and gen 2 as well has been super reliable for me
Considering the 43x or 48 for a concealed security position.
Im leaning toward 43x with the PSA magazines.
IMHO 43x for sure, the half inch difference will be felt if you appendix carry.

Nice setup, I’m running with a few carry options the compact dagger sw1rmr, sw6rmr, G19 gen 5, Hellcat pro and Taurus g3🤓
Using and buying aftermarket mags is really unnecessary for the 43x and 48. What’s wrong with carrying Glock OEM 10-rnd mags in the pocket and practice reloading? I carry OEM in the pocket and two 10- rnds in my pocket and enjoy my day.
I can't imagine why people would do things differently than you. It's insane. Don't they know who you are.
Yes they could, they just won’t haha. And agreed. Oem always
They won’t because even the PSA mags are showing they’re not always reliable. Glock mags don’t have any percentage of people saying they don’t work.
if glock made a 15rd mag it would be the G19 mag so the grip would also need to be thicker. Glock will not make mags that are not polymer over metal.
i mean canik tp9 mags fit & work reliably in a g2c & that’s pretty major i think
This debate will rage on for years. For me, None of the PSA mags lock the slide on the last round on my 43x, but do just fine in the micro dagger. The Gen 3 S15's run flawlessly.
building a psa/glock 43x/48 my slide comes in today parts kit saturday and my stripped glock 43x/48 lower some time next week im hearing great things about psa
The shield mags for the 43 fail to give me a last round hold open which is a red flag for me.
Yes that’s exactly what happened to me. I even got new springs from them and they failed like 3 weeks later.
Test it with the +5 mag extension from excess arms.
I’ll have to check that out! Thanks!
Wow one recent upgrade from PSA, aside from their horrible mock up of p80s you need shipped to an FFL… well done
