Who would trust your lives and children’s lives with a handgun like that? Lmao smh. Keep coping
You say daggers are "budget" firearms. What specifically makes them "budget" other am than the price. Meaning what quality sacrifices were made? As far as i was aware, they're identical to Glock 19 Gen 3. I've thrown hundreds of rounds through my dagger and have never had a malfunction, failure to feed or eject, or any issue. Does the cost of a firearm definitively dictate the quality?
@@ExcitedOx-wq2no I wanna know who he's hearing that from then, only thing I've seen was the trigger pin walkout and the occasional failure to feed but those issues have been fixed for a long time now.
The PSA Dagger is a Glock Gen 3 clone. All clones are budget based. They are only as reliable as you build and maintain them. Daggers are compatible with Glock internals making them equally reliable. You sound like a used car salesman and Springfield fanboy lol

I just bought a heavily used springfield xd subcompact 9mm. It was made in 2006. The barrel where the slide meets is heavily worn, took it out to shoot no issues. Got her for $260 came with a 10 rd mag and 2 16 rd mags, and don hume leather holster with box.
new price on the Daggers is less than half of what it cost to buy any of those guns new. I have several and also have all the guns you threw on the table. I will put my Daggers (new) up against any of these used paper weights. If you carry every day, the XD's are like carrying a boat anchor around your waist. I ankle carried the XD subcompact for a while when I was young and stupid. No offense, but this video is misleading and not cool at all. "Three reasons to not buy a Dagger". You are just pumping all your used pistols that are no longer in production and there are SO much better options for carry today than these bricks. Unsubscribed. I mean the dagger is a Glock gen 3 clone, built here in the states rather than overseas. I don’t know that I fully get behind the idea of advising someone buy a used gun over a brand new Glock clone due to reliability or consistency. Depending on what the previous owner changed or messed with, that may or may not be true. And the whole notion that people don’t need a red dot for self defense is almost like the 1911 fudds talking about how you don’t need a tacticool weapon light for a defense handgun.
It is not a Glock sir. It’s a clone made with cheap bull crap parts. Even the ceo said you will have issues but they will fix it for you and that’s how they make them so cheap. That’s sad for a defensive gun.
@@spnfirearms What “cheap bullcrap parts” are you referring to? Do you have specific examples, steel types, grades of polymer etc? Sounds like a lot of opinion. The fact that you can buy a dagger for the price of the old S&W SD9VE is impressive. If you have an issue with PSA, you’re entitled to feel that way. Like them or not, they do more for our second amendment rights than any company just about. They put out a lot of cool stuff, and do a lot of the manufacturing without the resources of big companies like HK, Glock, etc.
@@Tx_70trackpack_rt ask any machinist, anyone who puts thousands of rounds through them, etc. the strikers break consistently before 1k rounds. One of the heads of psa came out and said it himself! He said you WILL have breakages, that’s how we get them to you for so cheap. He said he will fix them though. Handguns like that should never be used in self defense. The machines they use when they tool up are worn down, used too much, ran too hot and not swapped out enough. The specs on the handguns are all over the places. Do your research.
@@Tx_70trackpack_rt I own over 100 handguns and are honest about everything I own. Why would I just randomly pick on psa? Why would I randomly choose them? It’s because I shoot a lot of have tons of issues. I have had to swap out my strikers for own Glock strikers in order for them to last more than 6-700 rounds. I test, run and review handguns for part of my living sir. That’s what I do. I have nothing against them..
I bought a dagger lower for $50, then waited and got a complete upper for $169. So for 220 im optics ready n threaded barrel. I have multiple daggers n never had an issue
Brand myopic much? While you gave three perfectly good alternatives, you didn't give one reason not to carry a dagger other than branding. I love my XD, my XD-M and I love my Glock.. but I also love my Dagger. ALL function perfectly. Weak argument if it's an argument at all.
Both of my xd’s couldn’t make it to 1k rounds. My xd mod 1 has 14k no issues. My first Glock 26 has 17k rounds with no issues. They should not be used for self defense
Th reason Glocks don’t have problems is because it’s the same pistol that came out in the early 80s literally the exact same. It better not have any issues after 40 years. But Glock is scared to innovate because they know reliability is all they have. Just like Toyota of the car world. Other firearm brands actually take chances and innovate that benefits all firearm owners. They might have some hiccups on the way in the beginning but they get ironed out. But atleast they have the balls to actually innovate. And saying 50% of p365’s all have problems is bologna you pulled that number out your ass.
Innovation means nothing if your products are riddled with QC issues. And, in the case of the PSA Aks, made incorrectly. While Glocks lack of innovation can be boring, it’s still better than being so innovative that you don’t perfect your products.
Honestly I agree here. I have a PSA AR15 and I was really impressed with it so I decided to by a dagger too, I don’t necessarily regret buying it as it’s fun to shoot but I realized that it is not a good defense gun. Saving up for a Glock 19 for edc. But I’m glad you make a clear distinction between “defense gun” and “range gun”. Not many guys on TH-cam make that distinction and act like every gun you own must be a SHTF gun.
I do like your reasoning behind not getting a dagger but one thing to keep in mind is that glock parts fit on the dagger, you can exchange almost every part with glock parts so if reliability is the issue than buy a dagger and throw a few glock parts on it. Also because the parts are exchangeable you can put a glock barrel adapter in to take different size rounds since glock offers that.
I customized mine completely, so I bought just the 50 dollar lower and put aftermarket everything else on and love the thing because I think it feels better than a glock
I am happy with the auction victory on gun broker. I bought my Holosun 407k for 202. Now they are 190. What can you do. Just have to save extra hard for a Nighthawk.
When people ask me for a suggestion for a pistol, I recommend Glock. I don't think they are "perfection". I recommend them because they are a generally known quality and there is magazine, holster, and OEM part support. I figure if someone is asking me for advice on what to get, they need to be able to easily find holsters and magazines.
Start with 43 or 43x or 26. I own alll 3 and carry all 3. Hot summer Glock 43 or 26. I’ll tell you this. If I could only own one firearm it would be a Glock 26. For all the reasons. Spin knows.
1st you shouldn't tell people what they are going to think or what they will say. 2nd I own 4 daggers and have yet to have malfunction that was not caused by me. I put a comp on one of them and had to get a new recoil spring. I have thousands of rounds through each and they have never failed after I changed out the recoil spring on one of them. BTW, all striker fired are a Glock knock off, to an extent.
You don’t have data to show the amount of issues the dagger has versus the Glock. The only way you can get the data is through the customer service and technical support of both companies. You don’t have that type of pull.
So as a guy trying to learn about guns you didnt give me a single reason to not buy the gun. You just offered me 3 better versions ? I get theres more expensive guns. But what is the actual issues youve found while using it? What part of the gun has failed you or led you down this path? Every other video talks about why they like it and the downfalls they see. All you do is say “theres better for more money ;)”
My ccw is G26 gen 4 with a +2 base plate. Back up mag is G19 15 rounds. Running tritium night sights. Put a Johnny glock trigger in at and it has run flawless. Eats all ammo brands and types!
I did the same for awhile, then just switch back to my G19. There wasn’t much difference between the two for concealment for me. I’d rather carry the 15+1 and a G17 mag.
i’m a glock fan boy but how are you going to make a video saying don’t buy this firearm and not do a video on it and just show off other ones lol. I have a g19x and a dagger compact and both have been reliable and zero issues after 5k plus rounds. Sounds like you just hate the carhart of the weapons community
Man, when I was getting ready to order my PSA Dagger, I couldn't find any videos or reviews with something bad to say about the Dagger until after I got my gun, just got it today, we'll see how it goes...
You emphasized multiple times to go with a reliable handgun, yet you didn't mention once why the PSA Dagger was unreliable. BTW, saying that your P365 can't pass 400 rounds doesn't mean that the PSA Dagger can't pass 400 rounds.
Hearing you say you won’t use a red dot in self defense or home defense makes me sick. You’re wrong, but I respect all you content! And really inspires me to train!
He didn’t say that. He said you don’t “need” a red dot. It’s simply not mandatory for CQC. Some tactical shooters don’t even use rear sights these days, or they’ll use the blacked out rears. Again, they’re not mandatory for CQC. You can still put a dot on an non MOS Glock though, use a Dovetail base plate. 😎👍
@@MikoFiticusI'd say it's 100% true. You won't be using iron sights either cause you'll be point-shooting. The only time you'll use any sights is when you have cover, aren't currently being shot at, and when you know fairly well where the threat is and you have your wits collected. Most people think they'll be John Rambo, but the fact is that you'll be spraying and praying with your first mag in a firefight. Even if you get the red dot up you won't be using it to aim cause you'll be throwing rounds rapidly. The only use it will serve, if any, is to give you a reference for your cone of fire. Don't delude yourself.
@@AudioGardenSlave123 Neither one is 100% true. Have you been in a DGU? Probably not. I haven't. "spraying and praying" gets you into legal consequences. That one dude who shot that active shooter at the mall probably wished he had a dot. He got it done, but he absolutely aimed deliberately. To just say 100% of the time you won't look down sights is just plain stupid. Same with saying you will use your sights 100% of the time. The truth is somewhere inbetween. Spend time and train.
I really want to like your channel, but I can't completely agree with a Glock fan boy (aka, SPN Firearms). Nothing very helpful was shared, tbh. While I agree the PSA Dagger isn't as reliable as the Glock, it's made to be bugdet friendly (unlike Glocks). But you can solve alot of your complaints by merely replacing parts in the Dagger with Glock OEM parts, for example, the firing pin. I'm tired of hearing you complain about how guns, including the Dagger, are not just like your "perfect" Glock.
if you dont have the 500$+ for a new glock he gave the example of buying an older used one. for 300 whatever dollars he paid for it. you get the glock reliability for a cheap price. i believe that's the point he was trying to make. i think you'd end up spending more money buying a dagger for 350$ then swapping Glock parts into it. But I agree with you, not everything needs to be glock, I think an STR-9C would be a better choice for the price than a dagger, however.

The psa dagger is every bit as reliable as a Glock... as long as you do your own quality control and utilize psa's excellent customer service. Glocks warranty their guns for 1 year, psa is for life. The dagger sometimes has some sent out that aren't so great. Go out shooting, make sure it's functioning, and if it is it's good. The dagger is as good, or better, than a Glock... from a certain point of view.
Interesting how you neglected all the issues with the XD and Glocks. I carry Glock daily but have had more than one XD that shot high right for everyone that shot them, the compact 45 broke a trigger link at 150 rounds. Smith & wesson...trigger issues and mag problems, glock have seen more than a couple that blew up also triggers stop moving rearward... All of them can have issues outa the box. Buy the best gun you can afford and still have money to buy ammo. Shoot it a bunch. If it has issues make it your boat gun or get rid of it, if it doesn't, then carry the crap outa it. Who cares what brand it is if it works 100% of the time.
lol my frist firearm was a gen Glock 26 which i still own 20 years later. And you absolutely right my Glock never has never jam on me. I put easy 3000 plus round through it
What u still fail to mention is that PSA dagger is the biggest bang for ur buck on a company that hasn’t been around longer than a decade, ur comparing company’s that have literal generations of firearms and expect the new guy to be perfect that’s jus ignorant. The point of the dagger is to get everything that makes a pistol awesome basically for free All that extra for glocks are definitely gonna put u over a rack as far as cash. But the biggest point is it’s still new enough they need the reviews for the product’s quality control. I personally have not watched any of ur other videos so u have covered that already but come on dude I kinda expected a little more common sense as far as CREATING a new firearm, shit ain’t gon be perfect off rip
No, you are just mad because you have a dagger and they are terrible. Mine couldn’t last even to 1k rounds. The ceo came out and promised you that you will have part breakages and issues because they make them so cheap so people can afford them. The point was you can buy so many other guns that ACTUALLY are made well and even used that will last 10-20k no part breakages or reliability issues. Do your home work. If you trust a dagger with your life or your families life then idk what to say. Keep coping. Facts are facts.
@@spnfirearms What facts exactly? Look at you. You're defending yourself in the comments because you're mad that people disagree. Now you just look insecure and desperate because your video tanked. You could've avoided all of this by simply saying "Hey guys, here's some concerning stats about these guns' reliability (along with a source other than "trust me bro") and you should think carefully about using this as a carry weapon. Here's a couple alternatives that I've found to be pretty good if you're on a tight budget." See? That wasn't so hard. But you didn't say that, you just pissed on the poors and said "pack a lunch and save." You played the fudd prick card and you're getting the reception you deserve. No coping required.
I agree with the premise that reliability is king but your arguments, your 3 points, were all non sequiturs. You didn’t say what was bad about the dagger, you said what was good about other platforms.
I agree. People lots of times use the cost of something as the reason they went with an off brand or something, but if $100 or so is the difference for ya, this ain’t your game. Training, ammo, range time etc. is going to cost plenty so don’t skimp $100-$200 on your carry gun. If it’s your range gun or whatever then go for it! Personally, I’d buy more ammo but that’s just me. I do love PSA though, the AAC ammo has been great at the range!
Active self protection John can’t stand when yall say you’re not using your sights in self defense lol. Not every scenario is face to face so it’s better to prepare for distance because then you’re ready for close encounters as well, then even at close distance you still want to see your sights which is where red dots are far superior. Look at the dude who just got killed by getting ran over. He was shooting at a dude sitting in a truck 5 feet away and missed all 5 shots because he didn’t look at sights and was point shooting. Side note - if you vet your gun, you’re fine. I’ve had a dagger slide on a Glock frame for a year and have about 3k through it without experiencing a single malfunction to date. I trust my life to it fully.
Good video brother. I'll be posting my 10k round review on my Dagger soon, I just don't have a good camera setup I agree, just save up a little more and get a used Glock or M&P, something that has a proven track record. It's gotten to the point where PSA CS has essentially told me I can buy my own replacement parts because they're cheap enough if something were to fail. There goes the "lifetime warranty" they tout so proudly 🤷♂️
Glocks are FKNG trash guns.. I've had 12 Glocks and not one has held up. All of them have melted and none of them have survived training. Get a Sig or a Smith &, Wesson
Not to say that there aren’t any other American brands but psa is able to cut cost cause it’s in the states for Americans. But I definitely agree with you
So basically the logic here is go dumpster diving for a used gun that who knows what happened to it vs a new firearm that is doing great everywhere else. Idk man.
@@spnfirearms understandable… Honestly i only bought one because it’s mags are interchangeable with my 19 mos… I only have Glock mags though…. Thank you for replying… I actually have an internal debate that I would like to pick your brain to see if you can help me figure out… I’ll start by saying I’ve been a firearm owner for the last 10+ years yet, I’m conflicted with my next purchase… i have all the essential firearms I need from hanguns to long guns… So the issue is that I’m trying to buy another pistol caliber besides 9mm that seems to be relatively popular because as stated I have more than one… I Really like the mos platform… Judging by your video, i see you feel like its isn’t a necessity, which I agree but i do feel like i want another… Some might not agree but the “no finger grooves” are night and day for me… Even with learning the platform with finger grooves, I feel omitted just feel more natural for me… With that being said… Buying another used gen 3 isn’t ideal and used gen 5’s aren’t to the price point yet that would make it a great deal even though you can save $100 or soo… Having the 19 mos and liking the compact vs the sub compact model that you seem to prefer… I feel like the obvious choice would be g23 mos… However, seem like .40cal has a bad reputation for longevity… so I was thinking G21 mos, since G30 doesn’t come in a mos variant… In your expertise which would be a better choice??
Brosif, you forgot the value of the throw away gun. Even the legal side of throw aways should be considered; truck guns, boat guns, garage guns, cabin guns, friends who suck- but you still like them guns, …all them situations need a throw away 9mm. But, when you bring up the used G26, I honestly can’t argue. But, those won’t be around forever. When they dry up, the dagger will still be there.
I'm just wondering(if you haven't already) could you do a review on the Savage Arms Stance 9mm pistol? I saw one a couple days ago and until then wasn't even aware they made handguns. Anyhow, great content bro

It’s good, especially for the price. It’s like comparing Walmart shoes to Nike ones. They all work, and some argue Walmart is just as good, which it kinda is tbh
This guy strokes and glazes glock every chance he gets, but he forgets that PSA literally uses the glock gen 3 patent to make their guns. The PSA dagger is literally a gen 3 glock. The reason they are so cheap is because they ship them direct instead of having a middle man like firearm stores across the nation or using a separate distributor. And yes, Sig always has issues with new models, but after 6-8 years, those defects and malfunctions subside once they fix them in the manufacturing process. I dont trust this guy for firearm advice
I bought a Dagger frame and completely built it with Glock parts, then put a Glock 19 upper on it. I did the same with a Lone Wolf frame too. I also use Glock magazines. But I would never buy a full Dagger or Lone Wolf pistol because none of the parts in them are Glock. *I did this for the sake of having projects.
PSA has deals on other guns too. I got a CZ P10-C optics ready for $400 after shipping and transfer fee. I have frequently seen HK VP9's selling for $500. It's easy to get a reliable gun for cheap but you need a bit more money than the base Dagger price.

You are pandering for clicks and views. Go play with Yankee Marshall.
It's giving fudd vibes for sure
Where are you finding gen 3 glocks for $325?
I can find them all day long in the used section at bass pro. They usually run $300-350.

Watch the video again. He gave 3 reasons.. just saying
Yup.. I have 2 daggers and they couldn’t even reach 1k without part breakages. I have over 50 Glocks, no issues sir. Some with 17k rounds.
People gotta get what works for them, regardless of name of the gun. Get what works for you and what you like dagger, glock, smith, what ever.
How did you realize that it wasn’t a good defense gun?

I do like your reasoning behind not getting a dagger but one thing to keep in mind is that glock parts fit on the dagger, you can exchange almost every part with glock parts so if reliability is the issue than buy a dagger and throw a few glock parts on it. Also because the parts are exchangeable you can put a glock barrel adapter in to take different size rounds since glock offers that.
I customized mine completely, so I bought just the 50 dollar lower and put aftermarket everything else on and love the thing because I think it feels better than a glock

I like this channel, but what’s with the hands jumping around. Makes me dizzy. BTW, I just bought a CZP10F new for 325.00. Optic ready.
With CZ releasing a new polymer gun soon, I'm sure the p10's will all be fairly discounted as people will want the new gun instead.
I am happy with the auction victory on gun broker. I bought my Holosun 407k for 202. Now they are 190. What can you do. Just have to save extra hard for a Nighthawk.
Good buy
8 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
I clicked on this and am still in the first ad before you're video and I already know you're wrong lmao
I’m considering buying a Glock 19X from Palmetto State Armory, is this a bad idea? I do like this smaller Glock you’ve shown.. please advise 👍🏽
It will be hard to carry all day but it’s a great gun! Check out the 43x and 26 as well! Respect
Start with 43 or 43x or 26. I own alll 3 and carry all 3. Hot summer Glock 43 or 26. I’ll tell you this. If I could only own one firearm it would be a Glock 26. For all the reasons. Spin knows.
A lot of people don't like the 43 x a bald seal does not like the 43 x
Me sitting here with a sub $300 CZ P10c...😬
I got both. Cz better overall out the box for sure. Good thing bout the dagger is after market availability.
so no complaints about the dagger?
Wish I could find deals like that!
Biggest issue with the Glocks is the grip. I can deal but my wife hates them. She loves the dagger grip. What parts failed on your dagger?
Nice
I did the same for awhile, then just switch back to my G19. There wasn’t much difference between the two for concealment for me. I’d rather carry the 15+1 and a G17 mag.
i’m a glock fan boy but how are you going to make a video saying don’t buy this firearm and not do a video on it and just show off other ones lol. I have a g19x and a dagger compact and both have been reliable and zero issues after 5k plus rounds. Sounds like you just hate the carhart of the weapons community
Bang every time. Don’t forget that. I’d stay away from grip safety without the duck bill like 1911
Man, when I was getting ready to order my PSA Dagger, I couldn't find any videos or reviews with something bad to say about the Dagger until after I got my gun, just got it today, we'll see how it goes...
I’m thinking about getting one how is it??
You emphasized multiple times to go with a reliable handgun, yet you didn't mention once why the PSA Dagger was unreliable.
BTW, saying that your P365 can't pass 400 rounds doesn't mean that the PSA Dagger can't pass 400 rounds.
I dont get it. Why is the dagger too unreliable for carry? I didnt hear any reasons
Watch my other videos or go on forums or run yours really hard!
You arent very helpful.
@@Santaheckler he did specifically say you won’t/can’t. Rewatch
@@Santaheckler 5:00 he definitely says you won't use an optic in a DGU. Which, I would say is absolutely false.
I think an honorable mention would be the FNS series of pistols. Saw on a firearms forum a guy who has 2 , letting them go for $225 each.

Biggest issue with the Glocks is the grip. I can deal but my wife hates them. She loves the dagger grip.
😂😂😂😂 You are a complete joke
Who cares what brand it is if it works 100% of the time.
i think all hes trying to say is there better choices for the money than a PSA dagger.
lol my frist firearm was a gen Glock 26 which i still own 20 years later. And you absolutely right my Glock never has never jam on me. I put easy 3000 plus round through it
THIS IS THE BEST EXPLAINATION OF REALITY
Nothing wrong with the Daggers ,they are reliable and work great !!
What u still fail to mention is that PSA dagger is the biggest bang for ur buck on a company that hasn’t been around longer than a decade, ur comparing company’s that have literal generations of firearms and expect the new guy to be perfect that’s jus ignorant. The point of the dagger is to get everything that makes a pistol awesome basically for free
All that extra for glocks are definitely gonna put u over a rack as far as cash. But the biggest point is it’s still new enough they need the reviews for the product’s quality control.
I personally have not watched any of ur other videos so u have covered that already but come on dude I kinda expected a little more common sense as far as CREATING a new firearm, shit ain’t gon be perfect off rip
Just buy 2 SAR9s one black one platinum.$ 219 each onsale at PSA. You can't buy a better firearm for the price. 🇺🇸
I love your channel but your Sig hate is not warranted. Sigs are very reliable and great shooters. Just my opinion

This is the same argument fudds use to try and convince you that all you need for self defense is a revolver bc they don't jam. Wasted breath.
Here's a couple alternatives that I've found to be pretty good if you're on a tight budget."
See?
I'll be posting my 10k round review on my Dagger soon, I just don't have a good camera setup
I agree, just save up a little more and get a used Glock or M&P, something that has a proven track record.
It's gotten to the point where PSA CS has essentially told me I can buy my own replacement parts because they're cheap enough if something were to fail. There goes the "lifetime warranty" they tout so proudly 🤷♂️

I actually have an internal debate that I would like to pick your brain to see if you can help me figure out… I’ll start by saying I’ve been a firearm owner for the last 10+ years yet, I’m conflicted with my next purchase… i have all the essential firearms I need from hanguns to long guns… So the issue is that I’m trying to buy another pistol caliber besides 9mm that seems to be relatively popular because as stated I have more than one… I Really like the mos platform… Judging by your video, i see you feel like its isn’t a necessity, which I agree but i do feel like i want another… Some might not agree but the “no finger grooves” are night and day for me… Even with learning the platform with finger grooves, I feel omitted just feel more natural for me… With that being said… Buying another used gen 3 isn’t ideal and used gen 5’s aren’t to the price point yet that would make it a great deal even though you can save $100 or soo… Having the 19 mos and liking the compact vs the sub compact model that you seem to prefer… I feel like the obvious choice would be g23 mos… However, seem like .40cal has a bad reputation for longevity… so I was thinking G21 mos, since G30 doesn’t come in a mos variant…
In your expertise which would be a better choice??

This guy strokes and glazes glock every chance he gets, but he forgets that PSA literally uses the glock gen 3 patent to make their guns. The PSA dagger is literally a gen 3 glock. The reason they are so cheap is because they ship them direct instead of having a middle man like firearm stores across the nation or using a separate distributor. And yes, Sig always has issues with new models, but after 6-8 years, those defects and malfunctions subside once they fix them in the manufacturing process. I dont trust this guy for firearm advice
