RuPaul is such a rare gem, and today’s world needs more people like him. I had a very traditional upbringing, so I grew up a closeted member of a very conservative and religious family. As a young boy I had an unsubstantiated fear of drag queens because I didn’t understand them. I first experienced Ru as Connie the Bodega Woman in the movie Crooklyn, then again as Mrs. Cummings in The Brady Bunch Movie. Whenever Ru appeared on television I was one of his harshest critics primarily because I grew up in a hyper-masculine society where men were not allowed to wear dresses. Public acceptance meant more to me than personal acceptance, but had it not been for Ru my priorities would still be disordered. RuPaul taught me to be kind to everyone because you never know who you’re gonna need one day. Now that I am older, his wisdom has really given me the courage to accept myself and teach people how to respect individuals who are different from themselves. This is not a story about coming out either; this story is about everyone’s inherent right to humanity. Ru is such a brave individual and I believe he has executed his purpose flawlessly. Because he so courageously executed his destiny fighting the good fight, the world has been transformed into a more-civilized place. RuPaul looks great in and out of drag and has not aged one bit. I remember praying for my mustache and now that I have a full beard, I see that Her Royal Highness-The Queen still has the same damn face. Wisdom aside, elaborate on those damn anti-aging secrets! 😗😉
What a hero? A dude dressed in drag that’s only succeeded because of the Hollywood depravity. I’m not judging him but the man above has some pretty clear words about it. There’s tons of people that are true heroes but he ain’t it.

Angelica gave an interview about an upcoming cheerleading comedy featuring some (older) female actresses which kind've put them down for making such a movie. Jackie Weaver, one of the actresses in the cheerleading movie responded saying Anglica can 'Go fuck herself'.
I have a lot of time for Ru, and we agree on pretty much every major modern issue,but nobody has to earn a point of view or the right to say something. That is what happens in Authoritarian regimes with no freedom of speech. EVERYBODY has the right to express themselves and have a POV. We may not like or respect the way others think but they still have their rights. Unless someone is a danger to society (i.e. hate speech) everyone should speak freely and have the ability to be heard.
I don’t necessarily think everyone is “touchy” it’s just everyone feels the need to give their uninformed opinion on everything and try and pass it off as fact or something that should be taken seriously. And in return heated discussions happen. If you’re giving an opinion publicly and you state something that’s just false expect someone to check you publicly. I’d like for more ppl to stop giving opinions and start giving an informed analysis or just not speak at all. And not every chat or gossip session needs to be taped on tv, radio, or be posted online. Too many ppl are on the internet spewing their “opinion” when again, an informed analysis is much more respectable and viable.
Sounds good, but doesn't really fit the social media format and practice, does it? Write a chat room entry of several "informed" paragraphs and it's a safe bet someone labels you a nut. The format encourages short impulsive expression (limits on # of characters) as it serves best the real purpose of boosting ad rates, i.e. the more heated an exchange gets, the longer participants will remain on the page and others will join the fray.
Rupaul: "....who has earned the right to have a point of view, say something so honestly..." A distinction needs to made -----> All Americans, regardless of fame or class, have the right to their point of view and the freedom to express those views. What she has is a platform to express her points of view on the world stage. Big difference. She earned the platform to express her points of view. She did not earn her right to a point of view. She has that via our constitution. Just pointing that out.
If only the president had the same respect for you and the American people. He deliberately lies to deceive. He's over the 10,000 mark in proven lies. At this current rate, a talk show host would have to ask the question, 'If I invite Trump on my show, am I aiding him, or in some part complicit to his propaganda?'
