I have a core memory of going to see that movie with my parents when I was 8 and each of us had a whole pint of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Don’t know how we snuck those in 😅
Ever After is one of my favorites movies I've ever seen. From my POV, this movie is THE best version of Cinderella's fairytale story that was ever made. I'm 32 yrs old and I still loving it so deeply. That's a shame that in my country, Ever After isn't on streaming. "A bird may love a fish, signore. But where will they live?" "Then I shall have to make you wings." ❤
Agreed! Have watched it every year since I was a little kid and now am in college! I have it on dvd but when I want to watch it on my computer I use solarmovies😉
It's so weird seeing Megan so down to earth and nice and loving! Especially in her costume where I'm so used to seeing her play this cruel, horrible awful step-sister!
I have always, always, *always* said that she doesn’t get enough credit-her portrayal of Marguerite is one of the greatest “mean girl” roles in cinematic history. She deserves her flowers 💐
Ever After is just one perfect film. Everything in it is perfect. The soundtrack, the landscapes, the costumes, the characters, THE ACTORS, the editing, the story, the research, and of course the main message of the film to all boys and girls out there. It's all just PERFECT and it will never get old.
I really wanted Drew Barrymore to get an Oscar nomination for this film. I know Renaissance was in vogue at the time, but her dramatic Cinderella was so worthy, and even her drive into serious romantic drama. This film was a game-changer. That being said, Drew, I love you!
I was so disappointed Drew didn’t get the Oscar that year for this film. I love Ever After & still watch it again & again. Loved Dougray as the Prince so much too. When he puts the slipper on her foot near the end is the best!
My mom would have been over the moon at this reunion. We loved watching Cinderella movies together and Ever After was one of our favorites. It has been almost 18 months since she passed and things like this make me think of those moments we had together.
My mother and I didn't see eye to eye often, and my childhood was less than idyllic with her, but when we'd watch Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, and Ever After, somehow we bonded. It's been 6 years ago I lost her, but I can hold on to those memories of watching these films to feel closer to her. I'm sorry for your loss.
@@DevahBluJasmine I'm sorry for yours. My mom and I had a ton of movies and shows we would watch together. Watching them now is hard, but I love all of the memories I have associated with them
I absolutely love this film. A big part is definitely what Drew said: "you don't have to put one gender down to empower the other." Beautiful take on the Cinderella story. Exquisite dialogue too. Thank you for this reunion!! Makes me so happy. 💗 Plus, the story how you got Angelica is hilarious and fantastic. She must have laughed heartily at that. Before I see the next clip, I will guess Megan took the brooch? Or maybe the brush...
I think what's nice is that you had both Danielle and the Prince having their own storylines and character arcs even when they were away from each other. And neither denigrated the other in any way.
I remember watching Ever After with my brothers. We would all recite Anjelica's witty and funny lines by heart. We even got my sister-in-law doing the same thing. The film is really ahead of its time. The cast was phenomenal and to this day, Ever After is one, if not the best, Cinderella films ever made. Ever After is timeless and is still relevant today. The film itself is a treasure trove of one liners that anyone can use in their daily lives. It is on the top 5 list of my favorite films along with The Mummy and The Mummy Returns.
I was 14 when this movie came out and I loved it then, and I love it even more now. They just don't make sweet, beautiful, romantic movies like this anymore, and those gowns....😍😭. I was obsessed. Everyone looked like something out of a pre-raphaelite painting. Just stunning!
I feel silly to say this but I'm a old fashioned guy and I thoroughly enjoyed Ever After! It is great story telling that some Cinderella remakes lack. It's my top Cinderella film of all time...
Drew and Drew’s team! PLEASE RELEASE THE WHOLE EPISODE! Ever After is my favorite DB movie and to watch it all in one setting would be a awesome and wholesome binge. Thank you.
This is one of my favorite movies ever. I have watched it so many times. It never gets old. I love yall so much. Such beautiful people. And beautiful people just don't happen every day. You know. Awesome movie.
How do they all look so fabulous after 25 years? Used to watch Drew’s films on video when I was depressed and would laugh and cry, they all still hold up particularly well his film, Wedding singer and Never Been kissed. I just adore this film, beautiful, funny and an empowering message to females to live without waiting for someone to rescue you, save yourself and be your own hero. Even my hubby loves Everafter and we rewatched it few months ago. I love Drew’s talk show but hope she returns to the big screen soon. Brilliant cast. Brilliant movie. Brilliant interview. ❤
I can quote every line! And I still watch it every time I get a chance to. Love this film and the entire cast. The impact this film has is hard to describe.❤
The casting was amazing!!! Angelica was the best step mother. She acted more human. I loved the dynamic of the family. One sister was nice. And there was also still boundaries between them. This was demonstrated In the scene when they felt awkward because she caught them with her mother's gown. It was more realistic than the other Cinderella movies!!
Such a good and clean film and such talent with the entire crew !!!!! When there isn't all that trash in a film, YOU KNOW IT TAKES REAL TALENT !!!!!! THESE ACTORS REALLY ACTED !!!!! After all these years, I'm still watching this GEM !!!!!!
This is my comfort movie and I'll always love it because the girl saves herself And what's really great about it is, like they said, the other gender wasn't stepped on. In fact I see the script as he pulling him up as she rises and expecting more of him than he's used to, even as a prince who is actively fighting the expectations on his shoulders
The scene that Daniel help her old man from selling to be a slave back to the house of his family. And they ran to hug and scream with tear together.Always always make me cry. This is the best Cinderella film ever to me ❤
Loved this reunion! In full costume, too! Would have been even better if Angelica could have been there, but I fully enjoyed all the behind-the-scenes stories. Forever Ever After! ❤✨
to this day, this movie is one of my favourite. I still have this on VHS, DVD, Digital copy in my mac, tablet and occasionally stream on popular service. I never ger tired of this movie.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME!! I know it word for word & shared my love with my children. ❤ Drew you're such an amazing woman & you inspire me. ❤❤❤❤
LOVE this movie, warts and all, and LOVE all these amazing actors. How wonderful to see them all back together, dressed as their characters, swapping tales.
I love this movie. My favorite go go to feel good. I love every actor. Angelica did a wonderful job and I couldn't see her being the wicked step mother. She's so beautiful. All of you and the crush on the prince. I love when you pick him up after saying "Anything that I can carry. " The chemistry between you two. The stepsisters were wonderful and funny. I just love watching this version. Thank you 💘❤
i’m so so grateful for this reunion. for the past few years i’ve been getting glimpses in my mind of a movie i knew i loved in my childhood but for the life of me could not remember the name. (said glimpses were of an old man with a beard walking on water and a still of the castle lol) i saw a thumbnail or something for this reunion and immediately knew this was the movie i’ve been thinking of. i watched it again today for the first time in probably 8-10 years and omg the nostalgia i got… i literally remembered every little thing about the movie as i watched it and was soooo emotionally satisfying. i was freaking out the whole time. i’m omw to go watch it again bc omg it’s just as good as i remember. thank you drew barrymore show🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

I love that, for as strong as Danielle is in the film, she’s flawed as well - far from perfect - and Henry, even though flawed, is no weakling. They come together in strength, and that’s why this film has endured
I watched this movie atleast 300 times? It's so beautiful and whoever cast drew needs a Nobel prize for bringing peace to my heart during the darkest days of my life. ❤
I know every breath taken in this film. I can recite every word. To say this movie shaped me is an understatement.

It is hard to believe that it has been 25 years!!!! Such an awesome movie, so well done.
Yes, everyone does not look 25 years older, especially Melanie and Megan!
Verdade 😊
How have none of these gorgeous people have aged a DAY in 25 years!?!?! They still look so perfect in their costumes! 😍
Plastic surgery, injections, fillers😂
They also use the foreskin of circumcised baby boys as a facial serum 🤮
Makeup
It's so weird seeing Megan so down to earth and nice and loving! Especially in her costume where I'm so used to seeing her play this cruel, horrible awful step-sister!

Exactly!! 😂
She Really comes across as Such a down to earth, very sweet person.

Was she nominated? It's not what I would call an Oscar performance, but it was a great performance from her and I still love the movie.
Yes she was, but was up against Gweneth Paltrow who won that Oscar for Shakespeare in Love.

A wonderful reunion of "Ever After: A Cinderella Story" After all these years!
I still quote this movie so much, "there was a bee!", "go..catch a chicken" 😂😂😂 i mustve watched this movie a hundred times the year it was released❤❤
“Why is it men never stop for directions?” “I shall go down in history as the man who opened a door!” “I shall deny you the crown and…live forever!”
