The writings of CS Lewis, including the Narnia books, was heavily influenced by his re-conversion to Christianity. The books aren't "allegorical" in terms of everyone and everything being a symbol, but Aslan is very much meant to be Jesus.

That is correct. That’s not an opinion, Lewis himself wanted to write a fantasy series where children would get to know Jesus a little better, but from the perspective of a child. And all religions are not the same nor tell the same story. Only Christianity offers redemption and salvation through the sacrifice of God Himself. His death and resurrection were for our benefit. We are like Edmund. We have betrayed God’s moral law and deserve the judgement of death. Jesus offers us atonement and eternal life through His work on the cross, and He offers it as a gift. Freely to all who would accept that gift. As easy as it was for Reepacheap to lay down his sword and walk into Ashland’s Country, that’s how simple it is for us. No other religion offers such a thing. All others require us to sacrifice, or to be as good as we can to earn the favor of some god or set of gods or the universe. You might say that on the surface all religions are sort of the same, but underneath they are all radically different. And Christianity is unique among them all with Jesus as the central figure that all history is bound to. That is the message of The Chronicles of Narnia.

If anyone wanted a fun update about the four actors who played Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, this is the current update about how they're doing.
William Moseley, (Peter) is still acting to this day. In 2014, 4 years after cameoing in Voyage of the Dawn Treader, he was struck by lightning while filming a movie which almost killed him. He recovered with a scar on his bicep as a result. He kept going and is still in many movie roles.
Anna Popplewell, (Susan) is also still an actress as well. Her siblings Lulu and Freddie also had roles in other films such as Peter Pan and Love Actually. In 2003, two years before the first Narnia film, she actually appeared with Scarlett Johansson in Girl with a Pearl Earring. She also appeared in Halo: Forward Unto Dawn and TV show Reign after her Narnia cameo. She's happily married with a family while still acting.
Skandar Keynes, (Edmund) is currently retired from acting actually and working as a UK political adviser. After the end of Voyage of a Dawn Treader, he did want to continue pursuing acting but he was also in college at the time and it was hard for him to balance both options. So after January of 2016, he announced his retirement from acting. He has traveled the world, attended Parliament meetings and many more. He's quite the politician to this day.
Georgie Henley, (Lucy) is also making a name for herself in her career. Her older sister Rachel actually played older Lucy in the first Narnia film just before the Pevensies return home. She went to college and continued acting. She even directed a short film called TIDE in 2016 which is amazing. She revealed to the public recently that she actually almost died from contracting necrotising fasciitis which is a bacterial skin infection. The first Narnia film, she was 10 years old, and then at 18, she got sick during college, and this was one year before Voyage of the Dawn Treader was filmed in 2014. 8 years later, she revealed it to the public in 2022 and admitted that she's no longer ashamed of the scars from her recovery. She is still acting and also working more on film projects as a director as well.

As a Christian the end where Aslan says “in your world I have another name” always make me ball my eyes out. Aslan is literally Jesus in the books and the “True Narnia” or “Aslan’s Country” is Heaven.

So the next book that we didn't get was 'The Silver Chair'. Roughly a year later, Eustace tells Jill Poole - the girl they mentioned at the end - about Narnia. He's changed a lot since his trip there though his mother things he's become common, and while he used to suck up to the school bullies he's now one of their targets (the school he's at isn't much at disciplining, int he book it's because the headmistress isn't as clever as she thinks she is and the bullies know what sort of things she wants them to say, in the BBC 70s tv series it's because the one teacher we saw can't give out good punishments besides 'you should know better').
He and Jill try to go back to Narnia by sort of willing themselves there.
The good news is: they succeed.
The bad news is: Eustace forgot that time is different in Narnia so it's been nearly 60 years in Narnia while it's only been one year for him.
The good news is: Jill meets Aslan almost straight away (though she doesn't get what he means when he calls her a daughter of Eve) and he gives her a series of signs to look out for.
The bad news is: because of a couple of unforeseen incidents they miss the first sign altogether and don't realise it till it's too late.
The good news is: In Narnia Caspain married Lilliandil (only called Ramandu's daughter in the book) and they had a son called Rilian.
The bad news is: everything was going fine until Lilliandil fell asleep on an outing and was fatally bitten by a green snake. Rilian went out to the same spot looking for the snake that killed his mother everyday and one day didn't come back. It's been now at least 10 years since he went missing, and everyone who went out to look for him never came back so Caspian (acting as a king) had to declare that no one else could go looking for his son because he couldn't risk his subjects lives. He's now left Narnia to repeat the Voyage he complete in his youth hoping to see Aslan and to ask him who should succeed him.
Eustace, Jill, and a swamp-dwelling creature called a Marsh-Wiggle named Puddleglum (the kind who's always predicting something bad to happen but not in a 'there's no point in doing anything' kind of a way, more in a 'well, there's no point avoiding the inevitable, if it's going to end badly we may as well just get on with it' kind of a way) go out to find him but come across dangers including two different kinds of giants, strange looking creatures who dwell underground, a knight in black armour that has something strange about his face and manners so they always feel uneasy around him no matter how much he smiles and laughs, a whole council made up of owls, writing in the ground, a beautiful woman in a green dress, and a chair made entirely out of silver that holds some kind of magic.

The end of this movie makes me bawl like a baby every time. It's a pity they never got to adapt the rest of the books (there are 7). Reepicheep makes a cameo in the last one, and Eustace is a main character in the 4th along with his friend Jill Pole, who is mentioned at the very end of this film as an Easter egg. I absolutely love this trilogy for what it is, though, and I think they did a wonderful job of bringing the story of the main four kids to a close. Greta Gerwig is rebooting the franchise with Netflix currently so I'm curious to know how that will turn out, but I think it's going to be hard to live up to the movies because of how iconic they are for the people like myself who grew up with them. That being said I would love to see them adapt all 7 of the books finally - usually adaptations make it to #3 (the movies) or #4 (the older BBC miniseries) before stopping. Glad you enjoyed the series, though, it has a special place in my heart alongside Harry Potter and LOTR

If you look at Reepicheep in Prince Caspian, you will notice he is all brown fur and in his prime. In VOTDT he has grown white, the old warrior, still ready to fight but happy to pass knowledge on to younger mice/humans. His age has caught up to him, he is ready to go to Aslan’s Country. He is a descendant of the mice that chewed away Aslan’s ropes in TLTWATW, who were rewarded with speech and size.

These are a lot of fun. Highlight for me is when Jane inevitably says "Frick on a stick, Justin!" 😁
Also, the "name" by which Aslan is to be known to the Pevensie children in the real world is Jesus Christ (since Lewis was a devout Anglican and Aslan represents Jesus in the stories).

About two boys dicovering Rambo (or Rambow as they think) and deciding to make their own. It is funny and moving. Set in the 80's with all that implies.

Fun fact in the late 80's/ early 90's BBC had a low budget adaptation they adapted 4 of the 7 books into a miniseries. The four books each had 6 half hour episodes. The Susan from that adaptations real life kids are the kids sitting across from them on the train in the beginning of the first movie. I would love to see someone react to those adaptations i don't see any reactors to the bbc series. I would love to see someone react to them. Granted they are a lower budget and not as technologically advanced but they did a really good job. I grew up watching the bbc series and the movies. I always loved the scene with Reepicheep talking to Eustace by the fire. Reepicheep is used to always being tough and dealing with hardened soldiers, but now has to try and find a softer approach, to attempt to comfort a scared little boy, in a forreign land. While the movie is definitely the weakest of the trilogy, this scene is very powerful to me, and marks the point, where Eustace realises the importance of true friendship.

Yes Aslan's country is heaven and in the books that is where all but Suzan end up. Edmond,Lucy,Peter and even their parents all die in a train accident in their world but are accepted into Aslan's realm for new adventures. Suzan wasn't with them because she has a family of her own and is a mother to her kids as well. In the last book they are all back exept Suzan like I said and when they win the war they get to go to Aslan's country with him and Aslan tells them they died in their world so there is no going back.

Its actually not that close to when the second movie happened. I mean for the siblings.
Narnia has just à different timeline, sometimes à random one if i can say.

There are seven Chronicles of Narnia books, and I think they were hoping to make seven movies. But these didn't make enough money. Part of the problem is an inherent part of the story that kind of defeats some of the marketing strategy of most movies. With movies like Harry Potter, we see the same characters throughout the series. Likewise with the MCU and so many other movie serieses. But in Narnia, as the kids grow older, they stop coming back, so the main characters are different people over time. And not just Peter and Susan, but also the Beavers and Mr. Tumnus and Caspian and Reepicheep won't be seen again. This goes against the "standard" things audiences want to see. It's a different kind of series, and that can be difficult to sell to an audience that isn't used to it.
I, for one, would really like to see movies for the other four Narnia books.

Dawn Treader is my least favorite of the trilogy, but damn if that ending doesn't hit you hard 'cause it feels like the end of childhood...

Read the books! You'll love them. Read them to your kids and students. This movie is least like the book of all the movies.

Birds do talk in Narnia, so the talking to birds joke actually fails on that account. This is what happens with clueless writers

I liked the dragon arc better in the books idk. They actually just spend time with dragon Eustace in the island and then Aslam to him to bring him back after a couple days.
