I just received the dedicated table side version and its impressive. It does throw out more air and less noise on lower settings than the NSA pedestal and tower fans we have. Looking forward to receiving this pedestal version Monday - I only came here to see how the height extends. Nice to find a company that seems to produces quality products. And disappointed I accepted our current fans for so long - thought fans were all the same.

I've got two of the older models and it was money well spent👍

In what ways was this better than the 1056 pedestal ? Curious to know

@@Oakland510 I've got the 1056 pedestal version, which is the older model. They are absolutely brilliant, it will be interesting to see how the Sefte compares

One tiny thing, and I'm being VERY picky here :) On the website it says redesigned to be more power efficient, but it does in fact use a couple more watts than the old 10 inch fan. No biggie but ....well, you know :)

Agreed, but it moves more air for less noise in return, so the wattage per airflow is improved. And that extra wattage is probably a penny a week or so.
It is a brilliant fan and a massive move forward.

@@chrismichaelmeacouklimited4004 Yeah I wasn't being 100% serious :) I will be ordering mine at the end of the week. I love my 10 inch one, but the whole pedestal idea with this new one opens up more possibilities for placement.
If anyone reading this is looking at buying one, let me assure you, from experience, that is is FAR superior to the Dyson fans and a heck of a lot quieter.

I don't know what's happened to Meaco UK. They don't reply to emails anymore and I've had to return 3 Sefte Pedestal fans due to faults. They need to get their act together and improve their QC.

Are you sure it consumes 0.1p/hour? That's like 1p/10 hours. Or do you mean 1p/hour?

Looks nice, but not impressed. Confused about zero smart functionality being introduced on fans in their price tier in 2024... same with all their dehumidifiers etc., if not by default there should at least be a separate version with smart home support via Wi-Fi and/or Zigbee. Will be looking elsewhere myself at least for my next fan and my next dehumidifier.

Sefte contains lots of 'smart' features which you won't find on any other fan, controlling a fan via an app has limited benefits, the core ability to move lots of air, quietly and at a low energy cost are core whilst other features like the angle of oscillation, turning bleeps on or off, and whether the display lights up at night can be controlled fine via a remote.
But, you might like Sefte Pro which has been launched in South Africa and will come to the UK in 2025.

@@chrismichaelmeacouklimited4004 I’m sure it’s one of the best on all aspects beyond automatization, which indeed might not be for everyone (I have a M1056P and Arete One but think I will look for other options for both myself in the future).
Personally, I’d like to e.g. open my bedroom window in the morning , triggering my dehumidifier to off and/or my fan to run for 30 minutes. Or, when a humidify sensor near a bathroom go off e.g. to turn my fan on to help circulate air the area… and in many similar yet likely basic scenarios simply ask Alexa instead of the remote. Personal and subjective of course.
Keep innovating though, I'd love to see more models.

@chrismichaelmeacouklimited4004 Thanks for the clarification I'll wait for the smart fan to come out then.
      Thanks again
