I bought this (1056)last year but where did you get the pedestal one from? All I can say is I love it. I use speed 1 in my bedroom and that's enough. The Eco mode will choose the speed for you dependant on the room temp.
Is it still going strong any problems at all? I use a tower fan all year round il be mostly using tower to increase longevity in this unless it’s boiling 🥵 then il use this bad boy!
I brought one mine is definitely not quite mine has a whine on it at low levels can not use it in the bedroom I regret buying this fan johnlewis having trouble getting refund waiting for tech support so I can get my money back Johnlewis sucks

Few months ago the pole broke off the base. I had to superglue it back together again. Fan works really well. No issues
