First, I want to say thanks for your clips. Second, if you can, please make more clip from begin to higher - step by step. we want to learn houdini from you. thanks again
Thanks for sharing. Is it possible to get the audio quality updated? Or maybe an accurate transcript? I realize the Manual is readily available, I was able to navigate along without pausing the video rather smoothly. Again accept in some places where the CC was not able to properly transcribe. Overall I like the video and was able to get what I searched for Houdini UI (Navigation). Maybe that should be in the opening segment? I say this as the Viewport was fully expanded when I first opened the program and each time I attempted to start a New Project from the file menu.
I downloaded H18 last night, and when I went looking through the render section, I saw that Renderman was listed there. Now, I'm using the Apprentice variant, and traditionally you were locked off from third-party renderers. Has that changed for Apprentice 18, and if so, is it compatible with the latest non-commercial version of Renderman?

This guy's tutorials are great and soooo clear. thank you
Rohan is the perfect introduction to Houdini, I always recommend him and Peter Quint when people ask for tutorials.
I was wondering where to start with H18 and of course you launch a 5 part tutorial series a day after the release! Thanks Rohan, you rock!
Great Tutorial clear and complete Thanks a lot!

after using Blender ...my brain can't accept all this stuff ))) But thanks a lot for this tutorial. At least it's clear how to use GUI now.
That is an older version of Houdini - there are some new lessons under Getting Started on our home page that might give you a different perspective.
@@houdini3d OK. Thanks

At 10:28 how do you get out of navigation mode, did he say “enter” and is this an old version?
My test geometry is greyed out in Apprentice....and I cannot uncheck the shader as per the tutorial (38:56). Why is that?
