Thank you for everything you do, SideFX team.
What a shame that we only have one life!
Houdini is tiring, complex.
Looks amazing, and thanks for choosing my music for this! 🙏
thanks for letting us do so _and_ the extra efforts, Stuart!
Was just wondering as I was enjoying it. Great job!
do you use houdini
As a Houdini user I discovered your music. Excellent sound.
You guys just can't stop to amaze all of us. So glad that this software is in YOUR hands!
... and not Autodesk hand.
@@CGFUN829 😅🤣🤣
The Amazing feature is never mentioned... The possibility to Indie Artists to get in contact with this Technology and produce for a reasonable price... I'm truly saying that because I'm not sponsored and I paid my Indie License and I cannot regret since I started to learn Houdini like a couple of years ago... Still amazing me how Complex and after a looong and hard learning process I still can trilled to learn because the complexity of the software but, even because the possibilites they unlock. Never loose the focus on Indie Community . Thank you !
❤
Still the best 3d program out there, with a really talented and dedicated dev team. Congrats!
Unlike the poeple at Autodesk, you guys are not f*g around!
Autodesk will become a joke. Unless they do something breathtaking with their sculpting (mudbox), fx (bifrost), viewport rendering (MaterialX ?) and optimization.
@@AyushBakshi will become? I believe it already is a joke. Companies that incorporated autodesk in their pipeline would prefer to make in-house tools and stick to autodesk instead of completely replacing it(as it'd cost a lot to do that) but looking at how amazing sidefx is evolving with every update, it seems like its only a matter of time before that happens. Once houdini becomes all vulkan, it'll be the hottest talk of the town.
@@FullGardenStudent yeah. My company is still stuck to a good degree on Maya. Lots of effort was put in building the internal tools.
I curse it every time I open hypershade.
@@FullGardenStudent unfortunately Autodesk own a sh!t ton of other tools so it's unlikely to go bankrupt soon.
@@AyushBakshi bifrost is just a pugin. Maya's base architecture is flawed, because it has never been updated and it's severely outdated, imho. The API is bloated too. It would need a reboot to be competitive. On the other hand, at each one of Houdini's iterations, I feel like a child before Christmas who cannot wait to play with his new toy ❤
This will be an amazing release! Congratulations SESI!
Congrats sidefx on another killer release! Glad I could be part of testing it and making a little something to demo karma XPU :D
Thank you tim for XPu stuff
Thanks for your dedication Tim, and thanks for passing your knowledge on. You're great!
How can you not get excited by this! Every time it amazes me, the great new features! You are the best SideFX!
Nothing inspires me more than the sneak peaks of new houdini versions.
You guys clearly knows how to make a nice Sneak peak!
Cheers from the FX dep in Ghost VFX Copenhagen
finally i can drive a car in houdini this is all i ever wanted
SideFX rulez again, I wish You guys Houdini become more and more standard as production software studios wise! ❤
It’s literally the main tool in all my previous studios, haha.
@@AndreiChifan 😂🤣
@@AndreiChifan exactly... "tool" but Maya/Max is mainframe in pipeline in most studios still. Even if Hou is way more powerful nowadays.
@@romancech2723 which studios use Max beside Scanline and Blur? Max was widely used, yes. But Maya has taken it’s place since ages and it’s a totally different story today as Houdini seems to be the preferred choice for scene assembly and lighting. Even above Katana sometimes. At least in Europe. Because it’s truly procedural. I don’t know exactly what the current situation in Asia/US is, but from what I talked with some artists Gaffer is rarely used, Katana is used a lot, Maya still is, but I never heard 1 person say he/she loves working in Maya.
Max is still widely used in Arch Viz but less and less in VFX/Games besides maybe modelling and a bit of FX. Yeah tyFlow, Pheonix etc are amazing, but I think Houdini has a more solid point for documentation/community etc. Houdini really lacks at destructive modelling/sculpting but maybe H25 will also have that in the future lol
A Huge thanks for SideFX team for such a amazing software.
Another solid release from SideFX, reminds me of the dedication and creativity of the Softimage Dev team.
Houdini is the best!!! Thank you for making dreaming into a procedural tool called Houdini! May the dynasty last 10,000 years!
The dynasty might last 4 or 5 years. Before generative AI makes human artists nearly obsolete :(
@@crystalparticle7349 I hope you are right, but I could see people with zero art or technical 3d skills write prompts like "give me a 3d scene of a beach with palm trees and a large alien ship looming overhead. I want simulations for steam and energy rolling off the alien ship, and the palm trees and waves of the ocean blowing from the force of the nearby ship". So like in 2 minutes the AI will generate a gorgeous 3d scene, and us artists will just slow down the process.
AI is not just about art, it can be used in many other aspects, AI is already used in rendering denoisers, and probably in various other aspects like animation etc, you can integrate it in simulations and it will determine the supposed path of the particle, helping in faster simulations, lets face it AI is after all a fragment of human creativity created by human creativity, it will probably never reach our expertise by 100% @@PandaJerk007
@@crystalparticle7349 I honestly wonder if the people that spam that on every single art video out there aren't themselves just generative AI.
have used 3ds max, blender and other 3d software for over 20 years, but still cant get my head around how to use this software. To those that can, i salute you.
Omg it's that hard?
@prikshit-424-9 it's totally different than traditional 3d software, for me in any case I had struggle adjusting
Thank you! You give me a reason to still love CG
Not as flashy as previous sneak peaks but it is really nice to see the work that is being done on Karma! Also the ragdoll and fluid stuff is also really cool :)!
But what else do they want if they have all the tools already, it is important to know that the following updates will be for karma, the only thing left is for us to have a 3D tracker and we will be complete
Lol Fr..
Incredible reel
30 sec into it and this enhanced my creativity straight up. great showcases
...that humbling feeling of knowing absolutely nothing once again 😊 Thanks SideFX 😊
DUUUUUUUDE YES THIS LOOKS SO SICK
Only this software can hype me up like that!
Just found out this morning from eventbrite that I was successful in getting an Early bird ticket for Houdini 200 HIVE at the Curzon! Stoked!
2:08 wasn't ready for that twirking
every sneak peek makes my jaw drop. miraclous
FINALY I've been waiting for houdini 20 since 19.5 when someone said on the presentation "the feather system almost made to this release"
As expected, it looks incredible.
Bestest 3D program out there. Thank you SideFX. 🎉🎉❤❤

Awesome showreel!!!!!! Loving it.
Finally, its here. Been waiting for Houdini 20 long time.
Great job sidefx.
Just started with your apprentice pack! So thankful!
Absolutely crazy again. ❤ Unfortunately all this would take me two lifetimes to learn😊
Never been so excited for a Houdini Release!!!
King of the Hill as always.
Big thanks to all dev team!
Hopefully it’s more user friendly and they simplified a lot of its functions allowing more easier and effective workflows
Simply a marvel of software, with an indisputable quality. Bravo
The terrain ML generation looks very interesting! I’m excited to try it out. Same with the unreal engine labs shelf tools
Cool , i hope there is more , lets wait for the presentation , Tnx Guys
I watch every sneak Peak with pop corn 🍿
finally quad remesherr
Wow! I spent a couple of weeks developing feather tools since 19 didn't have one and I couldn't afford any plugins. Good to see it happening from sidefx. It's been long overdue for quad remeshing.I remember the painful days of creating quad remesher tool from Junichiro Horikawa's 3 hour long video back when I had very little knowledge about vex.
the car driver looks fun
A lot of amazing features are coming 🔥 thank you so much for your work!
Beautiful!
I never used the tool, but I was always in love since Years,
Great job guys ❤❤❤
The water interactions and breaking waves made my jaw drop!
Simply phenomenal
All insane inspiring stuff!! The crowd, feather, karma, UE pipeline addition, all of it, epic inspiring stuff!!!
With the new animation tools it is game over for everyone else...There's literally no need to use any other 3d package, and don't start with Cinema 4D mograph...Houdini can do superior effects with point wrangle and noise maps
Freaking Nutz!! And the Music! Whoa_Ski!
Always a solid release, I love that ocean fluid sim near the end with the elephant and whale
I got tears in ma eyes watching this. Can't wait
Who else is watching this video 2 or 3 times to make sure you saw all the futures on Houdini 20😂
Even more times because of the uplifting music 🕺
😎😎
Geometry lights!! YESS!!! 😍
2:08 😂😂😂😂 funniest part
Amazing. Simply amazing. Can't wait to be more than a noob at this program because there is infinite potential. The bubble solver is the thing I'm most excited about. There's no way I know of to do that kind of sim.
STICKY COLLISIONS!!! Finally.
WOW!!!!! Just WOW!! Amazing!! Well done SideFX team incredible release!
The bald eagle looked amazing.
woahhh so exciting! looking forward to the release!! this looks incredible again!!
I like the updates to ocean tools and crowd

This is how an update should like. I wish adobe work the way like SideFX works. Thank you.
Congratulations, impressive stuff on each update, I love you guys !
The most powerful 3D software, still cheaper than Photoshop for indie artists. Speechless.
It looks amazing, congrats!!
This looked absolutely amazing!
Insanely Awesome.
Amazing job SideFX team! I love Houdini!
pretty sick stuff! nice work
😎😎😉😉
Here we go!
Super exciting!
Insane!!! You are the best!!
This looks incredible. Can't wait to get my hands on this!
I just wonder how code is architected in Houdini’s codebase. It’s crazy that this all exists, Incredible!
A lot of the high level work is done in vex, so you can dive in the nodes and learn a lot from that.
