Quick tip I found by mistake: when in the center of the Explosion whirlpool, use a *Sulphur Shelf* to get almost perfectly in the center of the Exp. Potion. Water correction May be needed!
Nice breakdown. I admit that most of my joy in this game comes from figuring out the recipes on my own though, so I doubt I'll follow any of these to the letter. My preferred trick for recipes is to save several of the mid tier potions before using the bellows. That allows me to both "continue brewing from here" and pump right away for tier 3, or to start navigating away for basement mixtures. The flexibility saved me a bunch of pages.
And honestly, I hope you don't follow these to the letter - Guides like this (and the ones on the wiki, too) are great if you're looking for a starting point for a new recipe variant, but the focus for veteran/expert players is and always should be adaptation. :) The save before bellows is a good idea, especially if you just want a closer "start" point to one of the more distant nodes - do the difficult part once, and then fully grind the rest by hand!
@@Retroflux I learned a fair bit from watching. Such as getting a much better idea of how much closer I could be getting to the boneyard while making charm and levitation. I hadn't been experimenting with near-fails enough to find the limits. Thanks for putting that work in for me. =)

For the potion of sleep you can use only two green mushrooms and two tangleweeds(all smashed at the max and the order is :green mushroom, tangleweed, tangleweed, green mushroom and some water.)

The map recipe traveling thing is the memorable part of this game but I feel like they focus so much on it than the garden. One reason I didn't watch videos on it until the update.

1:06:00 re levitation, if you approach from right and use the stone, you can get to levitation with 6 resources, including the stone. Thats why I never accept the requests for levitation unless I have the correct stone. The basic resource route burns so much basic resource that it inevitably means many other requests will be denied until late into the game
The sad part is how prohibitively expensive life salt is, which otherwise would save so many ingredients... But the cost is so high, it's measured in gold per grain, so it's not worth using ever.

you can make an even cheaper frost potion with just waterblooms taking care to grind the flower till its lowest on the path doin this 3 times and adding a little water to settle you can save a lifeleaf
For the potion of rich harvest my recipe has been; 1 Green mushroom to the furthest right point (even going down a bit on the curve) 3 waterbloom full ground 1 lumpy beat full ground (you skirt the bones pretty close here) 1 tangleweed 6 ingreadients, 1 more than the full tangleweed recipe but I feel like gold wise might be better than 4 tangle weed? I dunno. xD
For my Libido potion I HAD to use a Hairy Banana, It only made sense in my head xD; 1 Thornstick ground to the bottom corner 1 Red Mushroom fully ground 1 Wierdshroom ground to the bottom left corner (Make sure not to stir past the whirlpool, just get on the very edge of it) (This is where you are going to utilize the whirlpool, BUT grind the rest of the ingredients so you can line it up, just finesse the whirlpool with very small bellows) 1 Red Mushroom fully ground 1 Hair Banana only ground through the entire bottom curve 1 Sulfer Shelf fully ground 6 ingredients utilizing the Hairy Banana and the bottom path rather than the top. More complicated but like I said I HAD to use the Hairy Banana for this, you understand. The Sulfer Shelf at the end could be replaced with some other things like the Lumpy Beat, Thunder Thistle and such I assume but I have over 100 Sulfer Shelfs soooo figured that is best for me.
For the Invisibility potion I used 6 ingredients, 2 witch mushrooms, 3 windbloom, 1 shadow chanterelle. I will update the few replies to my comments after work with what I did. Just putting these in here as is since I work in 30 minutes.
For my Levitation potion; 1 Waterbloom ground to the bottom right of the first lower curve. 2 Windbloom fully ground, this gets you to the whirlpool Use the whirlpool to swing yourself to about the 1130 clock position. 1 Windbloom fully ground 1 Cloud Crystal fully ground 1 Windbloom fully ground 1 Firebloom fully ground
For my Invisibility potion; Edit: It's best to just grind everything to the amounts I said below first then just get to the whirlpool and line it up :D. Makes it super easy. Thanks for reading. 1 Witch Mushroom fully ground 1 Windbloom fully ground this gets you to the whirlpool Now at this part you have to grind the 1 Witch Mushroom fully ground then use the whirlpool to line up your shot Swing yourself around the whirlpool and keep checking the shadow chanterelle until you can pass the bones with it ground to the top middle of the chanterelle curve. You should be near the top right side of the whirlpool with your Shadow Chanterelle ground to the top middle of it's curve (or slightly to the right of the invisibility potion spot) 2 Fully ground Windbloom will finish this potion off
Getting into the spiral isnt working? I just tried about 3 times to, with the EXACT way to (1 fully ground water bloom into 6 fully ground terraria, into another fully ground waterbloom) and I keep failing, am I missing something?
I found a better option for stone skin, but I’m an idiot and forgot to save it. Also a tip for the slow down. If you only have 4 terraria (like me) you can use a brown mushroom, dryads saddle, or gold thorn (why though) and water to get a tier 3.
Necromancy: 3 full marsrooms 1 tangleweed to mostly south but lil east of 2nd loop 1 terraria 1 full earth pyrate 1 earth pyrato on top of the bowl water
I use the exact same ingredients you did but the path my brown mushroom took me on was nowhere near the same as yours. Also your entire board looks different than mine. Mine has bones everywhere yours does not.
Fun Fact: There is a NPC who needs to get around a monster, she says she can't fly, and if she is seen, she will be eaten. Invisibility or Levitation potions will both provide a good amount of money, but if you make a potion which combines both, it will increase the price by a ton! I sold a single potion for 905 Gold! Haggling will provide you with even more gold! Hope this helps. :)
Imagine being so afraid of a monster that your best case scenario is to fly invisibly over the beast LOL, thanks for the tip though! Maybe I'll brew up a really nasty recipe for a dual potion and use that to fund way more really poor decisions. :)

I would like to say 1 thing: the vendor cost, I'm currently @ level legendary alchemist +5. with each level the prices for ingredients drops, and whatsmore the higher the level the bigger chance of getting a discount @ the vendor. So ur prices are correct but only for basic standard prices (excluding discounts and uppered value)and only for level ur having now(100 points in top right)
Correct - these are standard vendor prices, which is what is used in recipe calculations on the wiki for this game. With points in haggling and base price discounts, these prices can certainly go lower; however, for the purposes of comparing, I'm using base costs. :)

Yep! Though there are five potion effect slots for each potion, so you can make any combination of level 1, 2, or 3 potions that add up to (or less than) five. :)

@@Retroflux I mean, it is great for downward movement if there is a whirlpool. Line up the bottom of the fully ground truffle with the edge of the whirlpool, stir until you are in the radius, then heat the coals to get sucked into the middle. Then you can stir to remove the extra path and be left with just the last downward motion. It is great for a 6 ingredient acid recipe.

For the potion of healing, there is a simple recipe than this: just use two green mushrooms and water.
Your 2 ingredient light uses a thunder thistle, but a windbloom also works there and is cheaper. You just gotta water well
This is a good thing to note, I'll make sure the wiki is updated with this change :)
15:16 you can actually use a windbloom here if you grind the shadow shanterelle a little bit less.
