  • This is actually the second Maiden flight haha this first flight the video was ruined so I had to re shoot it. The plane is up to Xfly quality flies rock solid. I would recommend using a 2600mah battery as the 2200mah I used first did not last very long. Also I modded the rudders and included some pics in the video. enjoy! #rc #rcplane #rclife #xfly #rcjet #sukhoi #su27 #spektrum

    Great video. I got this plane and crashed on flight 3 due to power. With gear on it, it eats a lot of ground before it rotates and is very draggy. My 3rd flight I wasn't thinking knowing it is way under powered and dropped the throttle to 50% on a turn to final. It stalled and I didn't have enough altitude to recover. I won't be replacing it as I really didn't enjoy it at all. The A-10 they make is a much better twin 50mm and I enjoy that one quite a bit.

      Damm sorry to hear that. But Yeah I give a 10/10 on looks but it is a bit down on power. Definitely have to stay above 50% throttle on this one. One the the biggest problems is the plane is a bit to heavy for the power output so you have to maintain energy or it will stall and not have enough power to recover if you don't have enough altitude.

    Sounds like she needs a 6S 😊 Beautiful plane, I've been contemplating purchasing this one.We shall see.

    Interesting.... be sure to check the fans for grass clippings or debris after belly landing - if left un- noticed, they can really bind up the motor and rob substantial amount of power ( no need to ask how I found that out..). Agree with your comments on the T-7A....it looks fabulous, flies great, but seems to want more power...

      Yeah I always blow out any grass or debris that may be in the ducting. After a while I even take the edf out and clean the housing as they tend to get gunked up.

      @@RaGeRC woo hoo finally got mine it landed at my house 3 days ago , a friend has one and crashed it one of the esc wires became disconnected on maiden just as he rotated one fan stopped working he’s working it out with seller, I’ve checked all mine over and put tape on connections and give good check over I’m building it soon and getting my maiden out of the way asap ,G🇬🇧

      @@gazza4230 good luck with the Maiden Flight! Remember to keep the speeds up in the turns this plane has a tendency to stall quickly if you get it to slow in the turns.

    Still to maiden this beast. Gonna be using 2600 120c packs for extra punch and run time. Dont you use telemetry recuevers or lipo alarms to avoid deadstick ?

    • @RaGeRC
      @RaGeRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nah I just use the timer. I've used lipo alarms before but they go off too early sometimes because one cell may briefly drop below the set voltage and the alarm goes off even tho that cell only dropped briefly then went back up. It's just kinda annoying. I just test fly my batteries first to see how they perform and set the timer accordingly. For this plane 2600 is good but I would recommend the SMC racing batteries 2800 lihv pack. Its actually smaller and lighter than a 2600 and gives better power as well

      @@RaGeRCyou should do a video on rudder servo installation. Would really help

    Great video! I've been watching this since it was announced but had concerns regarding the speed and power-to-weight based off the XFly product vids. Love the airframe but the performance doesn't seem much better than the Banana Hobby PAK FA/T-50 with 2200 3S (twin 50mm 5-blade) and that's basically half the price (admittedly that one only runs 2 servos and is probably a little lower quality). Looking forward to more vids on this. Might pick one up second-hand or if it goes on sale.

      Yeah its a super pretty plane I love the looks and it flies super stable but it's not that fast. I mean it gets along pretty decent but I just need a little more speed. I do have motors on the way that should pep it up a bit so stay tuned!

      What motors are you putting in?

    • @RaGeRC

      @@adrianuszwijsen8243 I tried using the motors from the 50mm Hobby King F16 and F18. They are 4000kv motors but it just made the plane slower so I went back to stock

    Nice . Did you launch with flaps ?

    • @RaGeRC
      @RaGeRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did not. I typically don't because I like to have full use of the ailerons incase I have a bad throw and need to correct. With the flapperons on it kind of limits the ailerons.
