Good for you. I’m from Jersey too. And my goal for this year is to run more. So thanks for this motivation. Good luck with the snow runs as we just got our first big snow fall of the year.
You can do it! I got a little cocky running during that snow storm... I may have slid and fell on my hip.. but I don't think anyone saw it so it doesn't count right? Haha!
I got some motivation from you my friend. Ive been going on for 6 days already. Some people told me its bad but I heard what you said and ill keep going. 3 weeks ago i started walking. Now Im kinda running for at leats 10 minutes like you said. I was 257 lbs and Im 5ft6. Now Im at 233 lbs. It does work combined with cutting carbs etc. Keep making vids and inspiring more people.
I ran almost everyday for well over 20 years. Only missed if I was on call and working at the hospital or on an overnight flight. Maybe that was 10 days a year max. In that time I passed 100,000 miles a long time ago. I also eat mostly vegan (some seafood only). I also do intermittent fasting and always run fasted. It's worked well for me so far.
PixelGunner3D - Fasted means no calorie intake, Water is fine. The point is that after not eating for a while, like overnight, we have used up the available glycogen, and are using our body fat for energy. That's why the first meal of the day is called "break-the-fast."
I started daily running and it was a life changer. The motivation was simple really..seeing direct correlation between my weight and running times - the less weight, the faster the run! I lost 20 pounds over 3 months, and managed to maintain. And I love the rain!!
Funny to watch this as I ran in a snow storm today. I was in the middle of a hard 45 min tempo when snow started falling like crazy and I couldn't see in front of me. Couldn't see the icy parts of the asphalt either but I just kept pushing and finished my workout :)
Sylvain Bauge that’s great! Like you said as long as you kept pushing and finish your workout. That’s my mentality everyday, no matter the circumstances I make sure that I get my run in! Thank you for sharing! I had my first fall in a snow storm a couple weeks ago but I got up real quick and kept going since I didn’t want the plow guys to see me on the ground haha I ended up laughing at myself the rest of my run. Be safe out there!
Haha, yeah you don't want to be seen on the ground! I saw a few other people running and when they give you the nod, you know they are acknowledging that you're a badass like them for doing something most other people think is crazy. It's 6am now and I'm working out in my basement before running outside in the snow but it's still dark out so I'm waiting that for that bright sun to come on through! Take care, brother! By the way, some people put screws in old shoes to have a better grip when running on snow/ice. Don't run on pavement with them, it will hurt your feet!
Sylvain Bauge that is the best feeling when another runner acknowledges your hard work by nodding their head while passing. It keeps me going even harder! Thank you for that video link! Keep up your hard work, I want to hear how you are doing in the near future. I just added a new updated video for running 254 days in. Check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks!
I am inspired ... I happened across your most recent video, and watched just few minutes. I decided to see how far back your channel started, and I plan on watching all of your videos (one each day for approx. 124 days), to see if I can duplicate your commitment and consistency.
I’ve been running daily in the morning thanks to you! I enjoy it clocking in about 5-6 miles a day. I’m gonna slowly increase mileage weekly by one mile. That way I avoid the over training injuries
Always so humbling to watch you Hella. I am watching this in 2020 and this is motivation. I am just starting out with being consistent with running. I am going to watch your vids whenever I need tips!
Dude listening to you is really fun and inspiring, you're so real, mostly when I hear people talking about their sport habits I feel like I'm being patronized, but you are so calm and chilled and not posing. Thanks for that video!

I have ran in snow and it's not that bad. You just need a thermal base (maybe another base layer underneath if it's in 10s or lower), a vest, and winter running jacket. For your legs, just a a pair of thermal leggings. You may want to get a neck warmer that acts as a half-mask. And of course, you need a hat. That's pretty much it. For sneakers, get those made for winter running. I personally got the Mizuno Wave Rider 20 GTX and love it. i forgot to mention you need gloves. If it's freezing temperatures, I use the Craft Siberian Gloves
Hey mate. Great vid, inspiring stuff. I run every second day and I feel so much better for it. But i think this video has inspired me to run every day!
Running has so many benefits, it's just amazing. Definitly running improves qualiy of life. The fresh oxygen does make you happy and feel good and the brain is working way better. You can eat whatever you want whenever you want If you're running constantly. You'll meet other people doing the same thing and maybe contacts and friendships raise. You'll sleep better and your mood changes to a positive way. At the end your legs will look awesome if you're running multiple times a week. And you'd have a good colour of skin as being outside in the sun more often (this shouldn't be your problem though :) ) Greetings from germany, keep going
I'm waiting until the end of my basketball season to start running. I've been really motivated lately to start getting into running even though I've never really taken it seriously but I want to get into it to be in good shape for my upcoming softball and soccer seasons. Hopefully I'll enjoy it!
I have decided as of today to start running 15minutes the moment I get in from work because in the mornings will be very hard. It was exhilarating even though I know this is the first evening, but I am looking forward to many more runs and chances are a marathon before the year ends. Thank you.
Thanks so much for the recommendation! I could definitely use those.. I did fall in the snow the last time I ran and my hip wasn't happy with me the next day haha. Im gunna look into these!
What a great goal to set for the year. You might want to be aware of the day that will come when it is pissing down wet snow. I would stay inside when that is happening.
You are truly inspiring..have motivated people all around the globe..anybody watching this video will love running.. cheers and keep up the good work..
This is so cool! Running every day does some amazing physiological changes and I really like some of the things you hit on with the sleep and energy. Also I am a heavy guy (for a runner) too... :)
Yep! What sport did you play in college? Both us on our (newly started) channel are also former D1 athletes (XC and Track) and it's been fun watching a lot of our former non-distance running teammates get into running and triathlons.
Hey, I'm thirteen years old and I'm in pretty good shape. I'm the most athletic boy in my grade and I keep wanting to improve. This video inspired me to run for at least 10 minutes every day for 365 days. Thank you so much for inspiring me, I don't really know what to say but this guy is awesome!
Clicked as soon as I saw vegan! I love running, I just started this year, but I feel alive after my run! May I ask... why did you choose vegan? As a vegan myself, I want to see others reason for their change :)
Awesome! Love to all my fellow vegans! I actually made the change first for my health after watching forks over knives. I'll be making a more in depth video soon, though. What about you??
I am a 5’9” stocky guy with lots of muscle but also a belly and love handles. I decided to start running and it feels great. Now my muscles look twice as defined and It’s mostly the muscle that was already there.
Love it. I’ve been running too. At somewhere around 180 days at 1 mile minimum. Not going necessarily for the full year but hoping I’ll see some huge improvements for my track season.
Awesome Video. I am happy I came across your video. I bought my sneakers in January and I have only ran 5 times. I am going to try this 10 minutes run every evening and build up from there. I really need to do this. Thanks.
Thankyou thankyou thankyou! I challenged myself to run 3miles a day for 30 days and I’m on day 7 and struggling but after watching your video I’m so inspired and motivated again! This block is all in my head ima go pop some sick music on and get my ass out the door!
Yes! keep it up and let me know how it goes.. if you need any help with motivation DM me on instagram I try to get back to everyone within a day or so and hopefully I can help
I'm assuming he must be using good form and doesn't push himself further than he can do. Also you know you can still function with injuries. I've been active with sprained knees and ankles. Sometimes an injury doesnt actually hurt at all that much and sometimes its so painless you don't even realise youre injured.
That too, Ashley. Knowing your limits and perfecting your form are both really important in running. I always recommend people to start out by building up to a small goal, say run for 2 minutes straight at your own pace. Each time you reach your goal, add more time or try to get further with the time you're at.
Start slow and build mileage/speed. There's no reason you can't run 100 miles a week if you've worked up to it properly. 10% a week and take care of yourself.
I listen to variety of music such as hiphop and upbeat songs but whenever Eminem, Drake, Kanye comes on my shuffle, I always pick up the pace. I also listen to some african song from my native country. What about you?
Well done you look great 👍🏾 I’m adding 🏃🏾♀️ running to my schedule as I want to get leaner. Any tips you could give me? Apart from having music 🎶 on. 😊
Well done dude. It's a good habit to get into. I'm in my 50s and doing at least a 10 minute run every day when it's possible. Exceptions I allow are snow and ice on the ground and hurricanes! And if I have a cold. Apart from that I haul my carcass out and get that run in. Believe me, as you get older, maintaining a good, healthy body requires a lot more hard work; missing just one day loses you over a week of fitness.
You're an inspiration! I know what you mean about missing just one day. Before I started this running journey and would run almost everyday, it really made a huge difference if I wasn't consistent. Thanks for sharing your story.. I hope I can say the same when I'm in my 50's! Keep it up!
I love running. I used to run so much as a teen. Now I’m 26 and work two night jobs. I’m depressed and not happy with my life but I don’t know how to change it. I do have a half marathon coming up in April and I’m gonna be training for it in a couple weeks. I can do it. I’m not that out of shape right now so it should be “easy” to get back in real shape and shed a few pounds. I need to get rid of my two jobs now and find a full time day job. Running is a huge stress reliever for me. I’m going to get back into it(obviously I need to for the marathon.)
that sounds like a great idea for your overall health. Running really can change so much more than just your physical health and I think it will be a huge benefit for you right now. I wish you luck in finding the perfect job that brings happiness and I'm sorry to hear that life isn't going the way you want it to right now. Just know I'm rooting for you!
Ima try this challenge! Thank u for the inspiration ❤️ I’m 22 and I weigh 175 I’m trying to lean out hopefully going for an hour walk/run it will help me drop 20 pounds
😅 Swear this is me running for 2 and a half hours yesterday. Really great work to run and THE BEST way to stay in shape and keep the brain SUPER HAPPY 😎😎
Hey fir running in the snow with zero chance of hitting Plain solid ground , you want to wear cleats. Also gloves and extra socks. Some head gear that can support at the nose. Basically you don't want to fall .and those three places are where you'll get coldest.
Great vid 🔥🔥 just some friendly advice a running track or running on grass is better for your joints too much pounding pavements can have an adverse impact on your joints but keep up the good work !!!! 😎🔝
Thanks! I'm lucky to not have had any problems running on street surfaces.. I definitely always avoid sidewalks because of the uneven and hard surface. A lot of people tell me I should run on tracks but that's the only surface I've ever gotten shin splints on surprisingly.
Great job buddy , I ran 15 kms everyday for 90 days and I had to stop coz I injured sciatica nerve. As for running during snowy winters i wear cleats on my shoes , you can buy them for 15 - 20 bucks from a shoe repair shop
Dude, you have a contagious vibe. Makes me wanna go for a run right now.
He said is this skinny to you? Lol
yes!! thank you so much that's what I hope to convey!
William Smythe that’s the phrase I’m going for
I went for a run 😂
Vegan diet will do that to you! 👍
A run a day keeps doctor away
that's right!
Now just increase the run to 10km, do 100 pushups, 100 sit ups and 100 squats and then you'll have unlimited power! #fact
Definitely! My average has been over 8 miles in the past two months and over 5 since beginning so I'm almost there!
HellahGood what do you eat through out the day.
Saitama would be proud.

This channel is going to blow up some day
Haha I'd love for that to happen! For now I'm just having fun.. thanks man!

Still can't seem to find the right gloves for my hands, though.. they always freeze! Let me know if you have any suggestions on that. Thanks so much for your comment.
HellahGood gloves 2 layers. Poly wicking . runners store or xc ski store
HellahGood Trail shoes. Smaller quicker steps too. Blinking light front and back too if snowing and/or dark
HellahGood running mittens always keep my hands nice and toasty. They have worked for me up to -4. Currently using a pair of Craft mittens and have used Saucony in the past.
I have ran in snow and it's not that bad. You just need a thermal base (maybe another base layer underneath if it's in 10s or lower), a vest, and winter running jacket.
Bro how do you avoid injury when you run with such high volumes ?
I don't even know man! Definitely lucky for that
I'm assuming he must be using good form and doesn't push himself further than he can do.
Make sure your rolling out, as well as stretching thoroughly. Also you should be taking some sort of protein when recovering.
Good Content. I Run 3MILES every morning & since I’ve been running and eating healthy I’ve seen super positive changes in my body. *health is wealth*
That's for sure! Thanks for the support. keep it up!

What kind of music do you like to listen to during your runs? Thank you!
I listen to variety of music such as hiphop and upbeat songs but whenever Eminem, Drake, Kanye comes on my shuffle, I always pick up the pace. I also listen to some african song from my native country. What about you?

tennis. Karla lol
tennis. Karla I feel that would be boring
its 10 minutes, put 3 sick songs queued up and run to them then you're done
Running outside is totally different than a treadmill
ndleinahaystack ndleinahaystack People ain't realise that, but you are right... It can't compare
Keep it up!
I like running but to them cold
lol yeah
Just know I'm rooting for you!
how tall is u
5'9
HellahGood Nigga you is short
bro u good? 5'9 is average
Haha right? I'm not an aspiring basketball player so I'm good!
Smileigh 5'9?? You look...taller o.o
Going to start running tomorrow! God be with me!

Black Salami Wow, you really put me in my place huh? I'm sorry that you have have to find vegans on the internet to troll for attention. All the best.
Phillip Buys I genuinely wasn’t looking for vegans tho I clicked on this vid cuz I was interested in the title then I saw this cringey comment
Love your energy!
Thanks Naomi!
I learned to run faster everyday when i found out my psycho-ex gf have been following me.
haha oh no!
Ima try this challenge! Thank u for the inspiration ❤️ I’m 22 and I weigh 175 I’m trying to lean out hopefully going for an hour walk/run it will help me drop 20 pounds
You can do it! I think it will make a huge difference for you even if you didn't reach that 20lb weight drop. You'll learn a lot about yourself
i do running more than 1year now,yes your right listening to music keeps you get goin to run. goodluck for 365days running.
thanks so much! that's amazing.. keep it up!
😅 Swear this is me running for 2 and a half hours yesterday. Really great work to run and THE BEST way to stay in shape and keep the brain SUPER HAPPY 😎😎
you know it man! keep it going!
HellahGood 💯😎 Fa sho my brother. Thanks so much and great work to u!!!
Hey fir running in the snow with zero chance of hitting Plain solid ground , you want to wear cleats. Also gloves and extra socks. Some head gear that can support at the nose. Basically you don't want to fall .and those three places are where you'll get coldest.
thanks for the tips Austin!
HellahGood Cool bro your still young young! lol 😂 running in the water at the beach would a good vid switch it up 😎🔥🔥
Great video lad! Going to give this a go. Sounds hella beneficial
Haha so glad to hear that! Let me know how it goes!
Great job buddy , I ran 15 kms everyday for 90 days and I had to stop coz I injured sciatica nerve. As for running during snowy winters i wear cleats on my shoes , you can buy them for 15 - 20 bucks from a shoe repair shop
Thanks so much! Sorry to hear about that and hope you can get back to running in the future!
Very inspirational. Great to see that you are a vegan. You are lean & mean-nothing wrong with that!
Thank you so much! Vegan all the way
I run 3 to 4 miles everyday. I want to increase some more miles.my target is 12 to 13 miles.I like your spirit.Lots of Love from India.
that's amazing! You can do whatever you put your mind to.. it doesn't matter how long it takes - you'll get there! Much love
