I have the exact same issue!! My cleaner was barely out of warranty when I discovered it and Tineco refused to help. This video will save me time and effort. Thanks!
Thank you for this video! I really thought these machines were not repairable. I had a battery issue on my S5 after only a few months of using. It was still covered by the warranty so The company just sent me a totally new one! with out taking back the broken one 😅 so now I have two tineco S5. I will definitely look into changing the battery for the one not working!
I was able to pop the top and unscrew six of the screws. But I still got stuck and unable to remove the battery. It would be nice to see a video on how to do that
Have the exact same issue - mine is less than a year old, it sat for around a month unused and after that from around 50% the battery display changes to a countdown timer. And it gets to the 50 much faster as well - used to do all my floors to end up above 60 now I can barely finish if I go fast. Somebody should hang for placing such a shitty cells in such an expensive appliance... Thanks for the video - saved me from dismantling the whole thing. I'm gonna replace the whole pack just in case another one goes bad in another month.
Hi. I have watched this video nearly twenty times. I have found that I have three that need replacement. So I have dismantled three other li battery packs, but the batteries in those including a Dyson dc35 are too short and thin. Do you have any recommendations? I’m so proud of myself for getting this far, the end is in sight…also I am doing this under guidance from my dad who has experience.
Hi, do you know how to remove the red and black wires that directly connect to the battery? I can’t remove the old battery because of the two wires that are stuck on it
Hi, thanks for the video, very helpful! On my Floor S5 is also one Cell defekt. It is a Lishen RL2170LA high current cell. Since this is not available at the moment, I replaced all 6 cells with Molicel INR 21700-P42 A. But now, the charging process doesn't start, everything checked, no errors were made during installation. I suspect the BMS won't start now because there was no voltage during the repair. Did you also have this problem? Is there any way to perform a reset?
I had no such problem. Looks like the bms. Make sure all connections and thermal sensors are ok. In addition, try to first charge the batteries one by one to the exact same voltage.
@@kualalkuolom Hi Guy, this is a very good idea, because the new cells have 3,5 V. I will charge now cell by cell . I check the connections, everything ok. I hope it works with full cells, Thanks and Greetings from Dortmund /Germany
Unfortunately, charging it individually didn't help either. I contacted Tineco Support. Unfortunately I didn't get any information there on how to reset the battery management. A pity. I now have a complete new Akkupack Everything is OK now. The only tip you can give now is that the battery board must not be without electricity. Because then it won't start anymore!
Thanks guys: you may have saved me from bricking my board. So presumably if I change one cell at a time with charged ones I can replace all 6 with new cells without ruining the board?
@@MarkGrech79 I guess so, all I can say is that I replaced all the cells at once and then nothing worked. That's why I had to buy a complete battery block.
My Tineco S5 does not run. It turns on and will self-clean on the charging stand, but does not run. It turns on and says “auto mode” like normal, but the brush and wheels do not start rolling. Anybody have any ideas?
My tineco starts and shuts down after 1 sec. It had 3 bad batteries! I couldn't figure out how to open the top display so i dismantled everything. Now i know... i just had to stick a screwdriver and crack it open.

I am so looking forward for a law banning all the electronic devices without easy replaceable batteries.

Can you take a video how you do it?
What cells did you end up with? I can solder.
Will they not replace it?

Yes how do you do this?
Does the battery just pull out or is it screwed in? I notice that battery replacements on amazon have a screw hole mount at the bottom.
You open the top panel. After that you open the Battery/BCM cover. You should disconnect the PCB from the battery and pull it out.
Hi.. thanks for the video! Can you send a link to where to buy a battery? And maybe a video how to open the top panel? Thanks!

I have the same issue but they are refusing to replace mine because we live in Hawaii. Mine is less than a year old too
Sorry to hear that.. Go for the fix though. It works!

same with mine! Contacted TINECO and then they go silent on you. No real warranty service.
Where are the clips located?

I'm experiencing the same issue. Additionally, if you purchased it from Amazon, you might be eligible for a 70% refund along with a 24-month warranty.
I really like this device so I preferred to keep it. Also since I'm abroad it was not worth to send it for service.

После замены аккумуляторов она не заряжается , в защиту уходит
best advise.....don't buy crap like this.....happens quite often...
I get a lot of comments on where you can find such cells.

Make sure it fits your model.
Is this one suitable for Tineco S5?
I have tineco S7 PRO, i also have problem with the battery and i can no longer charging it after only less than 1 year of using
DO NOT BUY TINECO
