I think it's cool that more can be done on device. offline software should not be so undeveloped. its a shame there's so little offline processing that could be integrated into software that can work on 9th generation flaship arm SOCs.
Definitely would be a game changer for those without big budgets to use online versions that may charge for better imagery and video. I'm interested in how this will get better, especially because it is offline.
An application named Layla Lite is accessible on the Play Store, enabling users to download an AI chatbot for offline use. Additionally, the application is available for free.
So what phone is it. cause we need this kind of tech. Samsung AI gonna have a problem if they continue the Year 2025 subscription in their AI phone if other device can do it offline.
Cool tech, but I think it has a huge potential to be very destructive to a very creative and fun industry that lots of young people enjoy working in. Just like music there should be mechanisms in place so revenue is paid to the creators of the original imagery used in the AI models.. people don't understand that AI does not really create anything, it's just filtering, mixing and shuffling bits around. By replacing actual creative humans with this, were not doing ourselves a service..but hey, quick satisfaction
AI is an existential threat to basically every aspect of existence, but since you have focused your message specifically on media/content creation, I will follow. As you alluded to, the harsh reality for those young (and old) people that you described, is that the "creative and fun" industry they are working in (digital media) is a bubble that AI will soon burst. Most artists and content creators are going to need to acquire AI implementation skills or concede defeat and find artistic opportunities in the real world. Very soon AI content is going to be "as good" as humans, cheaper, and ubiquitous. It may never be "better" than human content, but it doesn't need to be "better" to put millions of people out of work. Secondly, regarding your description of AI content - Creators certainly have a legal right to their protected creations, but you (and others) might want to reevaluate your definition of "original content", considering that you could technically make the same argument against any human creations. Everything that exists is the result and sum of everything that happened before it, we just accept certain things as being "original" because we're not privy to the list of factors that contributed to its existence. If we were, we would not consider anything "original". Who should get credit for a musical composition? The artist? Why? They are simply arranging notes and words that other people invented, often while making sounds on an instrument that somebody else invented. And all those inventions were based on things that came before that, and so on. If we're going to say that human creations are "original" and more than the sum of it's parts, then logically, so are AI creations. As I see it, the primary factor contributing to opinions against AI creations being "original" is that AI is in its infancy, and we can clearly recognize and point to the elements that it's using to make it's creations. This is analogous to criticizing a toddler's finger painting for not being "original", because she drew a house and people, like she saw other people do. But consider, when that toddler becomes a professional painter, she will be doing essentially the same thing (combining preexisting elements to create something new), but now people will consider her works "original" because she's now better at blending many preexisting elements into something that tricks us into thinking it's a new thing. In summary- the AI genie, much like the atomic energy genie, is out of the bottle, and WILL be replacing those creative humans. The best thing we can do is warn them to make preparations, if only so that we're in prime position to say "I told you so!" when they inevitably don't listen. Whether it is doing "ourselves" any favors depends on your definition of "ourselves". The people harnessing the power of AI for their benefit/profit are certainly not complaining. Something to think about anyway.
Doing it offline isn't impressive, its been possible with command line stuff or gui on a PC for years, since the beginning basically, the Internet wasn't ever really required. Doing it offline on a phone is impressive tho

It will be cool for those with slow internet connection
Hopefully all phones will support offline generative AI one day! 😍
Where's download link
Right. That's what I was looking for
yes you are right
That's they way to go, I personally prefer to use AI locally, self contained and offline as anytime any where under any circumstance type of tool.
Mediatek is taking a great approach. This could really catapult it. Especially if it's free for the life of the device.
Is there any offline AI chatbot for Android???

You're on a website, which you are viewing through some sort of device, so no, your idiocy in complaining about technology has no end.
That's good but without internet you are basically living under rock
