Life in Australia has been absolutely brutal recently. Record rains, record cold, record heat, ALL IN THE SAME YEAR.
Animal agriculture is the leading cause of every aspect of climate change. I think the need to add information to the phrase "I was on the bus" might be the most American thing I can think of; in my country that just means you were going somewhere that didn't require storage, aka 90% of traveling.

This was so real that it hurt. It makes me think that as a long time writer of the show, Josh is only on screen now as a way to secure work even if there’s another strike? Or maybe, because he was a writer only before, during the writers strike, he got into a lot of debt? That would explain his need to do a tour! Poor guy!

Sometimes it is like a limo! Yesterday I took it to go get some needed groceries and it was empty except for 1 other passenger. I got to sit all the way at the back, by myself, enjoying the ride.
There are a few TH-cam channels uploading Josh’s videos and they need to be called out for it when they do.
This dude works hard to put out new content on a weekly basis so if I watch it anywhere it’s going to be on his official channel only.

Just overheard some siblings complaining about their toxic narcissistic mom in a fast casual restaurant, it was more riveting than modern television 😂
There's no way that Josh isn't genius level intelligent. Most comedians take quite a while, on quite a few different stages, to work out a set and still have to bring notes on stage to remember where they're going next. This man is coming out with brand new 20-30 min sets every week and just performing them flawlessly. I can't even begin to comprehend how he does it. He certainly is the voice we need right now. Can we get this man the millions of subscribers he deserves, please?!
Josh can do this because he does standup the same way I do, he goes in with a general idea of what he wants to talk about then just fireballs it, he rarely repeats jokes for this reason
He says he studies all current news stories in his free time to prepare for his next set. I don't think he writes and memorizes jokes, he just collects topics and stories to talk about and is naturally funny at delivering his knowledge/view of them.

I've seen him in person twice around the same time on his tour to CA alone, then opening for Trevor Noah and they were pretty much the same jokes. I still laughed bc I love his jokes lol. However, I think his standup is a mix of both written/memorized and fireballing it.

I remember when my friend had her first apartment in brooklyn, we would set up something in the living room that we called the "fan zone". But the bathroom was down the hallway, so you had to leave the living room, go out of the apartment, into the hallway, and down to the bathroom. You had to leave the "fan Zone"
My house has a ground floor and a basement, with no air con whatsoever. The ground floor is currently unbearably hot, and you need to wear layers to spend more than a minute in the basement; the only pleasant part of the house is halfway down the damn stairs! 😄

Besides the immense talent, there's something really refreshing about Josh's shows: he doesn't swear! Every other word is not "f*ck". I cannot, for the life of me, understand why otherwise intelligent people think swearing gives them style or personality...
Swearing can often be a very powerful form of punctuation, but you gotta put it in the right spot to really nail the impact.
Also, he does swear, just not profusely.

Real talk, Josh as host of the Daily Show *sounds* like a fantastic pairing, but Josh's sense of humor is at his best when he's in control of what to say and about what topics, and I worry the Daily Show would force him to do certain shit he wouldn't want to do or didn't think was funny or shoot down jokes.

As young as he is, Josh Johnson is already a Master Craftsmen. Five minutes into this video and I'm already amazed at how Josh is still getting better, he got me again! So beautifully crafted that it makes it hard to figure out how he's able to come up with so much funny material yet so quickly hone & memorize another new set. He's got other jobs too, so his productivity level is unbelievable. I have the ultimate respect for his skill & craftmanship.

We already have a few fires in eastern WA 😢 and there is a dry thunderstorm where I am. So perfect recipe for more fire.
@mirny1509 😔 the sanctuary rescued a few cows a few years back, to keep the grasses low in the meadows at the top of the mountain, so that it if another fire comes close to them, it'll still be farther away from last time. And the fired dept ust visited and ran a check last week.
