    In this video, I show you guys how to properly balance the DJI Osmo Mobile 2. This is based on looking at how others have balanced it and I'll share my opinion on the best way of balancing the gimbal to use the least amount of power possible.

    QUICK TIP!!! If you are using an iPhone, go into your compass, then swipe over. Your iphone has a built in level. This will also help you balance it to be perfectly level horizontally

    The second larger knob on the back is only to switch between landscape and portrait.. you can balance it on the rails even without touching the knob

    It should be balanced how it says in the manual, straight down. So, when you pitch it up or down it has equal weight. If you balance it level then all the weight will be on the top or bottom based on your phone. Then either your up or down will have to work much harder on your motor. That's what I discovered. If you aren't pitching up or down then yes, it isnt much strain when in a neutral position.

      Hey John! That's awesome! Hope you get to make some awesome videos for us to see! Thanks so much for commenting in, really happy it was super helpful to you! The 2 hours charging sounds about right but just in case, make sure you're charging with a usb brick that can supply 2 amps. I've even seen cheap bricks that claim to push 2A but actually don't. 2A at 5V is the fastest way to get it charged and compared to 1A chargers, you'll nearly half the time of charging it! Good luck!

    What i found out is if you do the horizontal balance first then do the vertical balance by making the face of smartphone level with desk or table... then hold the power button for 2 seconds and release when the gimbal corrects smartphone to proper position to start recording. also before you turn on app you can verify the gimbal manual operation with joystick to move it around.
    Then turn on phone bluetooth and pair first then start DJI app to connect camera and gimble together via the connect button in app... Then is should be ready to record at this point

      According to the specs on the website, the battery in the osmo mobile 2 has a full capacity of 2600mah. This means, if I calculate correctly, a 1000 milliamp charge (1 AMP of power) usage would sustain a device for 2.6 hours. So yes, I think my guesstimate is right, sorry if it will disappoint, I totally understand what you mean. I wish for the day that batteries will wow me but I guess the science just doesn't allow that. Even without charging the phone, I don't get anything near 15 hours. To me, its more like about 7-8 hours from my guess. Other TH-camrs claim to get more though! Thanks as always for commenting in! Let me know when you get yours, what you think from your experience!

    GreAt video! I used it with the s7 edge and the iPhone 6s and I found that the s7 edge was a little to heavy for it in terms of how the gimble moved.. it moved a lot faster on the iPhone because it was light

    • @rthd
      @rthd  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for that info Alan! I think they claim to support the s7 edge so that's kind of a bummer! It works really good on the s6! By chance, did you try changing the settings on the gimbal to the fast mode? Just curious if that would help

    • @DjstarZz159

      Risharde Ramnath yes I did but I assume the weight of the s7 edge was a tad bit to heavy for the it

      @@rthd I am checking for the price in the market of Dubai.
      The cheapest I found is about USD 150.
      But some of them are very expensive. I don't know what the difference are.
      I am doing more research on it.
