Beidou's Blackcliff Slasher is complete and it's SO SHINY! 😁 Took Benni over 150h to 3D print all the parts and easily another 50h to sand, glue, sand, prime, sand and paint everything! 😂 How do you like it? Still think 3D printing is cheating?

That’s huge! I couldn’t imagine carrying that around a con my arm would have died in 30 minutes-
I think the sword is made out of light material and the parts itself might be hollow.
But I'd die from carrying the length of the sword alone 💀💀💀

As someone who 3D prints as a hobby, 150 hours is actually amazing that it only took that long. That means they have a great printer. Amazing build!

My only guess that there wasn't a part of her doing work is that she wanted to highlight the guy. You're right though, I know nothing about this cosplayer. However, I do know it's hard work, patience and a team effort.
The home 3d printer has become the number 1 tool for cosplay. Its great. I love this

A surgical mask is wildly insufficient to protect you from the dust of sanding. You need an actual respirator with the appropriate filters.

In the beginning I thought 3D printing is kind of "cheating", but then I realized there is still skill(troubleshooting,learning blender etc.), work and a lot of time involved.
It is so far from cheating. I wish more people would understand that.
