I used to work in a machine shopping running CNC mills and lathes. I don’t think people realize how in depth creating this stuff is and how insanely well your brain has to function to program these machines to do this stuff. This was a sick video
While the new computer CNC tech means that anybody can machine things, it takes a very special brain to do the designing and programming. It reminds me a lot of 3D printing. Anybody can download a file and print, but the people who MAKE the files are a different kind of beast.
I've said it before, but it would be so cool to see a suspending soft plastic! Like putting little balls of balsa wood in the pour or something! I'm sure there are a few cool ways to do it
I actually do that with deadonplastix floating blend. I have the anglingai 5" open pour swim bait and if you use a 1/8oz weighted worm hook(I use Owner), it sinks sooooo slow its damn near suspending. It takes a while to sink just 1 foot.
@@bassinidiot168 elaztech or whatever zman calls it. All their neds have it too, super cool stuff and why I love using zman, However you gotta be careful to make sure the baits arnt in sunlight for too long and not touching other plastic or they melt
You need weight to cast…. Density vs displacement. it takes quite a large bait to have enough weight to cast at the correct density to displace enough water to suspend…. Think about trying to cast a piece of styrofoam…. That’s obviously an extreme. With hard baits you have a floating plastic and hollow center with weight added in the form of rattles. Or a piece of porous wood…. Hard baits also move through the air better than a flappy plastic that doesn’t hold its shape and grabs the air…. Then there is durability…. It’s a fine line to walk. Corkys but they are more a hard bait wrapped in plastic…. No paddle tail, or appendages.
What great way to enjoy my morning coffee. Watching Epic Bait Molds design, then cut a mold, very cool. Glad you included it. Then to watch Marlin Baits come home and our a bunch. Go catching. Thx for sharing!!!
I love early morning Marling videos, man I gotta cut back on the coffee I'm up to two pots just in the morning and now a new video that's another pot lol, it's worth it
21:17 great bait. It looks so good that it almost tricked my mind into thinking you was holding a real minnow for a second there and that color was killer it's so so so natural looking.
So much involved wow. Something I noticed and couldn't unsee was that the tail kinda looks like a high heel. Always fun to watch. Much love from the Texas coast.
I’ve never ever thought about pouring my own bait but to see how absolutely jacked up my five year old gets when he watches your soft plastic lure videos makes me want to order all of his favorite ones you make and give them to him for his birthday and we’ll have all winter long to build up the soft plastic arsenal! Haha good stuff man Also just to let you know but whenever he hears you said oooooooone day that is all we say for the rest of the day. Haha
Watching that softie action coming through the water on the first cast i was like Oh Yeah, just before you made the same remark , they are beauties. nice mould, nice pouring , nice range of colors and sparkle. Top notch.
Absolutely love all the videos man! You give me the itch for some fishing every time I watch you. Try a discuss fish…if not then you still have a loyal viewer
Great video, those molds are the Bomblicious! I could easily get sidetracked from painting hard baits. I won't, well I might. Either way the molds and your hand pours are suweeet
I will be buying this mold for trout and reds in south Louisiana. It looks perfect! ..also I'm so sorry about the rod.. I'm even going to miss that one. I definitely picked up that it was your go-to!
Love the tech behind the machining of the molds. I liked your podcast where you and your wife just talked about "stuff". Only saw two episodes. Is it still a current thing?
Ha! Your pour cup was made by Anchor Hocking. I used to work there! They're owned by a company called STO now, but my father in law worked there for 25 years. They were located in a town called Monaca, Pennsylvania.
These looks awesome, i wish it was a mold for a 3.2inch bait. I used to catch red striped dace for trout bait as a kid . It was common to have 40 fish days on those Minnows dead drifting it be so fun to use a soft plastic instead.
I came across a lure made by a Japanese company called the Riser Bait, the 009p I believe is the model I saw. I would love to see you make this lure, it has some features I haven’t seen you do before
bro i love you vids i pour some baits too but i don’t have all the actual mods and pour and injection tool like you but i still love you vids keep up the great work keep it offishal
Awesome video as always and a killer mold guys. Not sure if it's same contact but I use two cups all the time and we'll do the body in one and then pour the tail so that it's an instant mend
i have been watching your videos nonstop for two weeks and you’ve inspired me to start making baits! working on a cedar popper right now, looks nothing like one of yours (yet)
Nice I now run stainless or a chrome bearing on the Z___ MAN LURES 5 INS CURL TAIL 16MM OD BEARING DUEL TOW POINTS SAME WOULD MAKE YOUR LURES POP EVEN BETTER . CHEERS FROM AUSTRALIA LOVE THE CNC TEC BRILLIANT.
I live on the NC coast. You never talked about the blend you were using (if you did I missed it). Do you think it would work in a saltwater blend? Looks like it would be great for targeting any in-shore species. Great work as always!

Most people don't know what a CNC is, let alone the machinists behind them
I'm in the process of learning to program CNC stuff and it's blowing my fucking mind.
can confirm that as a non custom machine operator, haas's suck, hermle has none of the issues
I disagree I’m 20 and run a cnc vtl and I run on nicotine caffeine and little sleep I love every second too

We need more builds and videos from the EpicMoldsBait channel!

Look up the zman minnow-z I dont know how they do it but they're buoyant as hell.
Most floating plastics will suspend if they're paired with the correct hook and line weight

That is 100 percent one of the best saltwater baits I've ever seen. Amazing job guys!!!
Some of the most visually pleasing soft plastics I’ve ever seen

I love early morning Marling videos, man I gotta cut back on the coffee I'm up to two pots just in the morning and now a new video that's another pot lol, it's worth it
Near midnight in Australia, of course have to watch instead of going to bed. G'day and cheers! 🇦🇺
21:17 great bait. It looks so good that it almost tricked my mind into thinking you was holding a real minnow for a second there and that color was killer it's so so so natural looking.
Gotta work, but here to leave a comment and a Like. Looking forward to watching it tonight. Bait looks awesome guys.

Nate, dude, I have been waiting and asking for this for years!! I’m so pumped about this. GREAT job!
I normally don't use soft plastics, but amazing video, they all looked amazing. Makes me want to use soft plastics
I love when a new marling baits vid drops, makes my day
I’m in school for manufacturing. This would be like my dream job. I wish there was a place like this near me. Awesome video
Hope you get some percentage of sales on that design. Your knowledge and experience is worth it
Nice pours great colors can't wait to see it in some bonus fishing.
All the stuff you fast forwarded is exactly what I wanted to hear. The small details to make a mold work properly.
Best way to start a Saturday morning!

The bass really liked the epic mullet mold bro. Pretty awesome video
From someone that's woks in manufacturing, Jason has skills. 💪👏👍
That one looked amazing in the water!
Nate that's a really sweet looking bait. It's so official now all the different species of fish.
Great florida colors for snook and tarpon, purple and the classic black back/gold glitter.
Absolutely love all the videos man! You give me the itch for some fishing every time I watch you. Try a discuss fish…if not then you still have a loyal viewer
29:28 that colour scheme reminded me of a denison barb/roseline shark one of my favorite looking fish.
In case anyone else is curious, the bird at 35:44 is a female Baltimore Oriole
I'd buy the epic fails...... 😊 I love everything you do ! 👍
I was working on uploading a video of my own when I saw this posted. I had to take a little break to stop and watch it😂
I like the action on that Marling! I just got into pouring plastic lures myself in effort to recycle my soft plastics
That was amazing....the design and build.... fantastic
Great video, those molds are the Bomblicious! I could easily get sidetracked from painting hard baits. I won't, well I might. Either way the molds and your hand pours are suweeet
Nice looking bait Nate. Thanks for sharing
19:30 looked like you were missing a finger.... my reaction was priceless
That was cool and very interesting to see the process from beginning to end!
Greta video as always... I wish Jason had to to make videos like the start of this one showing his full process its so cool to see that stuff.
Good to see the Orioles back, always a good sign that summer has arrived
Outstanding video as always!

I will be buying this mold for trout and reds in south Louisiana. It looks perfect! ..also I'm so sorry about the rod.. I'm even going to miss that one. I definitely picked up that it was your go-to!
Impressed with the versatility of the design. Some of those color combinations, whoa. Did Chip eat the unexpected visitor?
As a German, i love the Bait from the Thumbnail 🤣
Love the tech behind the machining of the molds.
I liked your podcast where you and your wife just talked about "stuff". Only saw two episodes. Is it still a current thing?

Make some open pour crappie jigs!!!! That would be nice. Awesome videos always fun to watch.
Yes! 6” and even a 8”! Bigger bait, bigger fish!
Nice bait man you have skills at making them con from Ireland 🇮🇪
That's a great looking mold!!
Beautiful baits , nice color combinations
These looks awesome, i wish it was a mold for a 3.2inch bait. I used to catch red striped dace for trout bait as a kid . It was common to have 40 fish days on those Minnows dead drifting it be so fun to use a soft plastic instead.
18:50 fish literally waited for your permission to swim away lol

That is amazing love the action the concept ALL OF IT!
Saw the post on IG had to come to see if there was a vid 😅 good start to the weekend.
These videos are always dope. Possible idea would be a discuss lure
Super dope mold!!!

This really got you going, and we are all glad to see it!
Keep kicking ass man.
BTW still have patreon?
That sure is a beautiful bait looks great for the place I fish
"All Natural Clown Mullet" is my new favorite thing.
Awesome clip as always marling. Loving the colour schemes. Suggest a 7" version for us aussie fishos
Nice fish man!
thanks Nate, for uploading this 🤩🤘🏾
I’d love to go diving for treasure in that scrap bin!
Epic bait molds should make an epic jig mold. That way you can pour a lead jig head that matches the bait perfectly
Awesome video as always and a killer mold guys. Not sure if it's same contact but I use two cups all the time and we'll do the body in one and then pour the tail so that it's an instant mend
Amazing video keep up the great work
I like a open pour. Less wasted plastics. 👍👍
Love how they turned that bud light can😂 😂😂
It’s almost as satisfying as actually fishing
take it easy take it easy I said almost
Mate, exactly same thing happened to me on my rod this week! Absolutely gutted. New tip can't arrive soon enough!
i have been watching your videos nonstop for two weeks and you’ve inspired me to start making baits! working on a cedar popper right now, looks nothing like one of yours (yet)

Let us know progress bro, u got ot
Great thumbnail, excited for the video, as usual make a corky lure
As a florida angler, its about time.
Nice pours! I feel like theyd slay in fresh AND Saltwater. Send that rod to me! I will mend it and fish it!
That mold looks so good, *I* wanna eat it.
Always love the collaborations with Epic! What about a tiny paddle tail for 32oz jig head to pull behind a float for panfish?
Ik you probably meant 1/32 oz but I just keep imagining a 2 inch paddletail behind a gigantic ball of lead lol
@@oopsalldeoxys5060 you are correct, and that is hilarious!
That's a nice floppy swim bait! Now we can make a pink floppy human swimbait in 2023! Let's make it O-FISH-AL!
This did really well. I'm glad it's an open pour. I'd hate to try and multi color shoot this bait. It really takes to multiple colors well

Nick was drinking a bud light, don’t give him ANYTHING!!! Lol
Video idea you should try to remake a old vintage lure for pike or musky some wacky lure, love the videos keep it up
Stunning and brave
Fish 🐠: Oh snap is that the new 5.9 mullet bait!?? 🎣 .. it is!!!
Swim baits is a prowess I have yet to learn.
So I was literally sitting here thinking how much fun it would be to do an open pour and then you said, “don’t think about it just go do it.” Soooo 😂
