No issues. I would highly recommend getting the optional cell link. First year is free, and I think it’s less than $30 for the entire year. It lets you start the car from anywhere. I end up using it when I know I’m about 10 mins away from entering my car so it’s nice and cool/warm when I get in.
I’ve done it both ways. As long as you pull the plugs in correct order, you should be okay. If you’re concerned, I’d disconnect the battery just to be sure.
Hey bro another question do you need to do any programming for the smartphone module or it’s just plug and play ? I just installed mine but I do wanna add the smartphone module too
😢i have same car, same remote kit & it wont program for me. Instead of 2 beeps of the fourway flashers, I get 3 flashes then a single. He makrs it look easy.
How did you code the start-stop function to disable itself when starting the car. I have also disable that function, but the led indicator always stays off wich i don't like it. Thanks.

Only thing that needs to get plugged into the module is the blue plug. Be sure to download the app and input the serial number. One year of service should be included with a new product.
Oh ok because i did all that but nothing I was just wondering about those loose wires and right now the 2 icons from the signal and battery are not green just grey
@@dontbother5514 haven’t gotten around to doing it yet. A local shop by me does have a Viper remote start that works through the mobile phone. Might be getting it soon. I’ll keep you posted.

Here's what I got for you, after alot of research I've come to conclusion that both Compustar and Viper systems will still have a technician cutting wires on the original harness. But if you go with Fortin's "Evo" systems (now my first choice) or IDataLink (second choice) they both have their own T-Harnesses for Audi cars which makes it plug-n-play. Fortin company has a kit named EVO-AUDT2 which includes EVO-ALL module + THAR-AUD2 t-harness that is a direct fit connection for our S4. EVO-START2 will be the addon product that has an antenna and an access to the EVO-START mobile app without any monthly fees. For IDataLink It is CMVWXA0 module + ADS-THR-AU1 t-harness and it will take MyStartPlus for the mobile app. For a GPS function GPSIRIS is the only company I've found that has no monthly fees for it to operate. They have a product named GPS5020 or something like it that also have an antenna. I'm looking for a workaround to get only 1 antenna instead of 2 to have GPS + Mobile App functions. I really want to know what is going to be installed in my car and mostly care how it'll be done since if there is any damage or issues regarding the wiring and electricity, I know that if I unplug the plug-n-play t-harnesses and remove the module, my car is back to normal programming without having to do all the reconnection of the oem wiring. Still, I am so concerned when I go to a dealer and you can't really know what the technician will do to make it all work, so I did my research since they won't even tell you that you can remove the metal key of your fob that you'll have to sacrifice and keep it for necessity... Or what type of programming you really want! Good luck and hope that helps you and people seeking for advice! Yes, there’s a USB cable that you can purchase to change the settings. You’ll need a PC. I turned mine off and you can adjust how long to run the remote start for along with other settings. @@Rey-no4lz to be more specific, i meant the unlock by touching door handle feature. This review was brought up from the ebay product page. It is said that when remote started, the only way to unlock is to press the unlock button, door handle sensor won't work
@@quattrohead6543 Thank you for the clarification. Touching the door handle feature will work as normal as long as the car is not running, which wouldn't work anyway whether you had the remote start installed or not.

I did notice that the CL6 would lost connection to the car if I didn’t drive it for a while. Might be a battery preserving thing. Other than that, everything is good.

I’ve done it both ways. As long as you pull the plugs in correct order, you should be okay. If you’re concerned, I’d disconnect the battery just to be sure.

You can use the “iDatalink ADS-USB Weblink Updater” cable to turn the hazards as well as adjust other settings.

Hey Rey, any tips for removing the BCM? I can't remove it at all - undid the 10mm, but can't get that middle clip out?
Try using something skinny like a small flathead. Removing that BCM is the most difficult part; don't get discouraged.

Theres one plug on BCM you didn't show how the lock clip works. I cannot figure out . The bottom left, has a red piece.
Lift up the red clip. Then near the red clip, push the side tab. Hope this makes sense. Similar to the way the brown one works.

There’s two ways to sync the module depending on your year: the one in the video and the one in description. Be sure to try both.
