as a gift for my gradutation and birthday, my dad took me to warhammer world in Nottingham all the way from Bogota, Colombia. A cherished trip that I will always hold in my heart and despite not being into warhammer at all, my dad tried his hardest to show interest and understand it for me. I love you Dad, jopefully we will go back again sometime. One of my most favorite memories by far.
You have such a good dad! Cherish moments you have with him. My father isn't gone and I try to cherish moments. I wish you and your father glorious moments for the Emperor!
Free to enter for the shop, gaming centre, and restaurant; there's a small charge for the exhibition centre. Around the free bits there's also a number of dioramas and pro painted armies on display! The shop is large and comprehensive; the Forge World shop is on site too.
My favourite exhibit is one of the smallest. It the jungle scene with the Catachans being attacked by Dark Eldar, with the Tantalus coming out of the web way
The Emperor vs. Horus diorama at 2:02 has long been a cherished favorite of mine. I actually own the original bookcase Horus Heresy game, and there is a two page art spread that gave inspiration to it.
I dont live in England but watching Play On Tabletop has been my substitution for going to Warhammer world. The love and effort you guys put into each battle report to create unique and interesting storys for us viewers to watch is awesome. Your videos are the sole reason i picked up the hobby again.
So good that others across the pond will get a look in, it doesn't compare to actually being there but at least others get an idea. Been about 8 times, travelling 2 and a half hours each way ...encapsulates the hobby ....worth heading to at least once.
I recently discovered that warhammer world is as close as my local warhammer shop, being only 30 mins away, I love to just go and look around whenever I am off work really nice place
Cant believe Nick didnt grab footage of the Tau diarama 🙃 hes right though; the whole showcase is mindblowing! You keep thinking "WOW that was cool" then round a corner and theres MORE
Not that I IN ANY WAY want to belittle these battle montages (they are insanely beautiful), But isn't it so so fantastic that this is, regardless of scale, what it felt like playing with legos or whatever at home as a kid, setting up intricate battle scenes and so on. I mean imagination is such a precious thing :)
I haven't been to Warhammer World since 2003. They had some impressive stuff then but everything seems so much more expansive now. Thanks for letting us see it.
Damn, hopefully one day I can play against any of you guys there as it’s just down the road! Love all your guys content, it really got me back into the hobby. So thank you!
I follow the guy who did these on TH-cam. He's known for his epic LOTR maps he makes from scratch. He's built the entire Battlefield of Minas Tirith and Helms Deep. Dude's a legend haha
@@timotej121 th-cam.com/users/Zorpazorp is who they're talking about, I'm pretty sure. I don't recognize any of these as being his, but that might just be me not recognizing them.
Zorpazorp doesn't do the Warhammer world displays, he only got enrolled very recently to paint some Ultramarines for the first time. Most of the displays at Warhammer world were either ex store display, or made by store managers, or made by the eavy metal team. :) Some were made in the 90's !
I have never played a war hammer game and I have PlayStation premium so I saw war hammer space marine 2 as a 2 hour free trial and I thought “huh this looks cool” and my god this game is so dam good and now I bought the game and bought some miniatures
what is the last diorama representing ? I remember in an old white dwarf, like number 107 or around, pictures of a diorama of the siege of terra, I wonder what happened to it, looked amazing.
In this video you have missed the best one by the way... The Battle of Pelennor Fields! It's an incredible diorama, and for people like me who grew up with LotR movies it's something incredible, the kind of scene we have always dreamed to recreate.
Nice video thx. In my opinion you need a video of the display to see everything. Pictures are not enough. Could it be that there were no TAU in this video? I haven't seen any Drukhari or Genestealer Cults either. ;)

Now I'm realising how lucky I am for it to be my local warhammer shop
What an experience! And what a devoted dad! Congratulations on graduating.
@@jopiethechildslayer409 You are incredibly lucky, I am watching this from Serbia and I wanna cry
I feel rather spoiled - living in Nottingham, this is my local shop! Well worth the visit if you're in the area, has to be seen to be experienced.
Is it free to go in and do they actually sell warhammer kits?

And dangerous - to ones wallet lol @@CuriousMind99420
I'm actually going there for a birthday trip to Nottingham with some mates, it's gonna be sick
I have been to warhammer world, I can confirm it is absolutely amazing. The level of detail in each model and display is mind blowing.
At 0:19 when Nick says “that would have taken forever” I was just thinking, what’s he going to say when he sees the Battle for Angelus Prime?
I live 20 minutes away. Grew up inside Warhammer world, it's changed so much since the early 90s
I also live fairly close by, love seeing the minis. Inspired me to make my own miniature dioramas

I like how Sanguinius is so dramatically dead. I PERISH BEAUTIFULLY.
That pic has been in plenty of white dwarfs over the years as well, still got the 1st one it showed up in back in '89 if i remember right :)
The giant bad moon built into the rocks of the cave is absolutely stunning.

every display is a feast for the eyes. i could watch an hours long version easily.
Six hour round trip for me but well worth the drive. Love it there.

The display with the steam punk air ships and bone dragons was sooo cool!

that Imperial Guard parade got me all hot and bothered
That emperor vs Horus diorama from 1993, some serious nostalgia there, I'm pretty sure I saw it in a white dwarf as a kid.
Same! Soon as I saw it I thought “wow they still have that?!”
That was a few minutes of me in complete awe

going to warhammer world in June really looking forward to walking round this
I'm sharing this with all my friends!
I only wish it was a 4k video, to truly see everything!
Absolutely breathtaking work
The displays look amazing, and the music used in the video sounds gorgeous. Can someone write the name or a link to the music?
It’s a four hour drive up to warhammer world bud definitely worth it. Will be going up later in the year.
I'm live in Korea, And i will visit there some day.
may it's not tommorrow, but i will must go there some the other day.
Hope it is an amazing time!
One day I'll be able to visit.
Just one word - awesome.
Tau Nick please post a montage of all the pre games shots of PlayOn in one video that would be amazing too!!
That's a pretty neat idea
@@PlayOnTabletop Honestly yeah I second that. Make for a pretty cool channel trailer.
I live all the way across the pond, but I hope to get to go on the pilgrimage to terra next year when me and by family go to the UK
Can't wait to go see this place next year
This is on my bucket list.
Best warhammer video ever

They have means. Pretty intense

I wonder how much all the minis (cost wise) come to in that museum ... gotta be in the hundreds of thousands of £'s
Just love this video

Can't go to warhammer world without saying "Woa how long must that've taken" or "That must've taken forever" atleast 5 times
Us brits own pure skill when it comes to models.
Amazing
Well... Warhammer World has to be jaw dropping. They need to live up to their name.

There's an amazing Tau v Admech/knights diorama there though too 👍
If anyone knows the music please post! Shazam simply cannot figure it out.
Too cool.
Wow! How many hours painting there!
WOW
that's Epic
Wow
you missed the tau dioramas ;(
Was there no battle of big toof river?
i was hoping for that as well
Did u find the hidden figure while there!
What's the display at 2.40 called?
2:03 is that the emperor?, never seen him in white armor also the mini kinda looks crappy
That's a throwback to the very first image of the Horus Heresy; where the emperor wore white terminator armor and Horus wore red.
Thats because its very old, very very very old.
Its a piece of history
Music?
Was the Tau exhibit still there when you went?
No sadly.
zeebus, imagine if ai and robotics become advance and they move and attack!
I need to go to WHW
But did you find the hidden assassin in the huge diorama!?
❤️
Is that at England?
Yes
Where in England? I need to put it on my bucket list.

So sad to know that none of those models will ever see a play table 😢
Just think of them as treasures locked in Trazyn's vault in Stasis
