- Mike and I took to the river to try and get a few pre-spawn flatheads and get Mike on his first flatheads of the season. We succeeded in a big way! We mainly targeted sunken barges in and around Pittsburgh, PA on the 3 rivers. You never know what a night of fishing will have in store and on this one, we were not disappointed!

Awesome. You are the "KING OF THE FLATHEADS"
Thanks Chris!
Another awesome video love it , that 40 pounder was a toad , i get a chuckle when you and Mike toy with each other with the braid versus mono debate , I’ve seen you guys do that before
Thanks!! I've witnessed him get broke off by a few big flaheads due to his braid so naturally I like to give him a hard time whenever I can 🤣
That one was a beast!!! Wow!
Thanks!
You are the man for sure!
Thanks for watching!
Great video buddy! You on them again!!
Thanks!
Hang of a good night always enjoy your videos yes sir seems like you know what you're doing which way from new Cumberland boat launch would pike island be can't hardly wait to get out there this fall thx for everything
Thanks again for watching! New Cumberland boat launch is in the Pike Island pool of the Ohio River, its just downstream from New Cumberland dam. Pike Island dam is at the bottom of the pool. I believe that pool is about 25 miles long, dam to dam.
Thanks again do appreciate it
No problem
Nothing like Fighting a huge Cat lol especially on a modern smaller Baitcasting Reel. I used to catch little Bluegill and toss them out in a deep Ass spot in Radford and WOW the Fight on these Guys is different and EPIC Lol. Stay safe my Friend Semper Fidelis great Video..

The king of flathead fishing. Is it possible that we’d ever see a bank fishing flathead video?
It's possible! I've had that requested a few times. Thanks for watching!

Another Great Video ,And An Exceptional Night For Catching Flatheads ,Congratulations Guys Keep Them Videos Coming
Thanks Mike! We had a real good pre-spawn. Hopefully we can stay on them post-spawn. I'm waiting till the end of July then hitting the river hard
Come on back down to the gallipolis pool again sometime , maybe I can see how it’s done
I'm hoping to get down there for a weekend this fall. I'll let you know if I'm able to swing it
Just give me a shout

Awesome night. You have definitely become my favorite fishing channel..
I finally got out on the river the other night for the first time this year and had a great night second spot i caught my first ever flathead before I got my 3rd rod in the water n another a couple minutes later
That's awesome to hear. Congratulations on a great night on the river.
Great video brother. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you're the most consistent Flathead angler on TH-cam right now And also I knew that they ate chicken!!!!
Thanks my man! I'm gonna start throwing out live chickens post spawn!
What size hooks u use bud
I use 8/0 Maruto circle hooks. I have a link for them in the video's description if you want to check them out.
Your content is awesome! What are your thoughts on floats and rattles on you leaders?
I appreciate that, thanks for watching! I keep my rigs very basic, only 2 I use are 3 way rigs with varying lengths for weight/hook leaders and carolina rigs. Occasionally, if we have very little current, I'll use a peg float about 6" above my hook to keep the bait off the bottom and keep from getting lost in cover. I never use rattles. I have friends that have success using them but from my own experience, I didn't notice a difference from the couple times I've tried them.
Hey Joe! I was just wondering what kind of circle hooks you are using? Love the videos!!
I use Maruto 8/0 circles. Check out the videos description. I have links for all the gear I use and trust...Thanks for watching!
Why didn't you show yourself weighting the 40 lbs. Fish it would make a better video
Sometimes weighing makes the cut Sometimes it doesn't. Honestly, it all depends on the footage I get.
