I read some comments already and some says that for the money they can buy a Corvette or a Dodge and that's true, we agree and always respect everybody's opinion and point of view but in 5 years both of them are going to lose over 60% the original price and value. In our 14+ years of being in the business we have noticed that the resale value of our cars stays the same for several years and sometimes higher. We're not Judging other people's taste for their car color, performance or because some people want manual, paddle shift or automatic. Our cars are timeless work of art and our customers love uniqueness and something different of what the masses want, they really love what we do to the point that we have returning customers buying us another model, color and configuration. I love it so far, it is growing on me. I'm do happy where ddr is going and I just wanna see them grow more and more. I want to see something with a longer wheel base though. The headlights have to be flush and match up with the body as well. Then, its perfect for me.
It's a really cool idea, it just lacks that fine detail finish and refinement. Keeping in mind it is a kit car, and the owner could do their own fit and finish, it has potential.
It would be interesting to see one built with a turbo K series engine from Honda/Acura, would have better gas mileage than the v8 and with turbo 500hp is easily attainable on the K20/24
I wish Kit Cars designers improve on thier Dashboards like how "Chip Foose" does his custom cars. I'm not complaining much , its a beautiful car and i would love love love to own one but there is still room for improvement on kit car's dashboards
@@jonwik7056 Precisely. For a car that cost six figures and looks like that, 300 horsepower is not a lot of muscle (power). If I was unveiling a "new" exotic sportscar, I would showcase it with a powerful engine.
@@Blammo1970 That's a good example! I'd love to get a Radical RXC, but out of my price range. Going with an Ultima RS as a kit with a Chevy LS engine. However, Grullon seems to be limited to Impala and Chevy LS1 engines. Installing any other engine means you'll have to figure out how to do that yourself.
Cool car and for the models priced around 50k I could see the appeal. But if I have 6 figures to drop on a car id rather get an actual supercar, even if its used. Stil love the look though.
So this is basically as much as the Grullón gt8 grand prix but a little more expensive I'm waiting patiently for the pricing so I can do my project with this car
Put a turbo on that 5.3l LS4 500hp easy. The other problem is that anemic 4 speed automatic. It was not a good transmission. 2 more gears it would have been faster. I could hit 90 in 2nd gear in my Grand Prix GXP and it sounded just like this car. Really hurt 1/4 mile times due to its 2.92 final drive if I'm correct.
there should at least be a few different powertrain options especially for 6 figures- also it has too many lines n needs smoothing out a bit - just too busy for my taste

remind me to an old McLaren cars...look so beautiful, just the rear end tail light look a little bit retro....for tag RM700k ringgit in Malaysia, you can easily get hypercars like Proton Waja Boss that price goes around RM128k ringgit or Nissan GTR r35 that price will goes around RM600k ringgit....
If I had the money to buy one I'd want a Ford Mustang engine. I'm not a fan of GM. The beautiful carbon fiber makes it look very expensive. I hope they sell plenty. It would be extremely exciting to see one go down the road. It looks just like a McLaren F1 LM GTR. Thanks.
This thing could either shorten the wheelbase by a full foot and/or put the passenger seats MUCH further back and slightly more behind the driver for a narrower stance.

gorodn murray t50 people might sell you and others their airbag system for their 3 seats setup, 3 seats can be compact wth a electric assited variable vane turbo inline 3 in between rear passengers with their legs a bit comparesses in left to right length... a lotus elise final edition sort of daily driver hypermiling manual steering etc car, no hybrid etc, a true sustinable form of low emissiosn stuff thatis close to my concept car for what it is. check out gordon murray t27 , t43, t33
Old Nissan z says 160mph on the dash but this says 140$ I love the look but kinda depressed on the speed unless I can cheaply update it to be more fast than a old Nissan z but for 3 seats is nice 👍
Mr. Staggers, is not that we don't trust Daniel. Is because these cars are already sold and usually couple of days to be delivered. To avoid any chances only Mr. Grullón drive them.
The wide body is great. Not a big fan of the 3 seats. The things Grullon needs to work on is real custom headlights and tail lights. Those generic trailer lights makes it look cheap. Imagine real hockey stick headlights? That would be rad.
With the limited production run that he has.., maybe consider a free copy of CAD software and a "Creality End 3 v2" 3D printer..!!! 🤔💯👍 A little filler, sanding and quality paint where appropriate should make for a great professional lighting solution..!!! 👌💯😉
I understand that it's only 50k. But some of the things just look incredibly cheap. The hanging lights on the front bumper and the painted logo on the dash are two examples. Or if you start watching at 1:00 you can see they can't get the door to close..
Those European Hella projectors aren't cheap, Logos on the dash aren't painted. They're made using a computer embroidery machine exactly the same as Koenigsegg in their cars AND about that precise moment I opened the door to let a fly out. You didn't see it?
I would buy this car then take it and add a new powerplant and trans with air suspension ....with it looking like a mclaren f1 I would want to put something close to that engine in it then I would change the interior digital dash and infotainment center

They must have gotten whacked by McLaren pretty hard, I used to love these guys when they first started out with the original design. It mostly looked like a F1..... now it looks like it crashed through an Autozone. It doesn't look good at all anymore.

A real ‘apples to apples’ comment would be “I’d rather wait 5 years until I can buy a heavily deprecated C8”.
They've painted themselves into a corner. With three seats it would be difficult to make it manual. Since they use donor cars that don't have a paddle shifting system they would have to do extensive modifications to utilize paddle shifters.

Nice car but for over 6 figures for what you called entry level Camaro performance is a bit much, now if you were talking Z06 or even GranSport Corvette levels that would make better sense given the other stuff.
I was really interested until I heard about the engine. Such a shame they built this bad ass super car looking thing, then put an impala engine in it. Base camero speed? Pretty lame. Just throw a corvette engine in it and you’d have been golden! I want that one with 700+hp.
The GT8X wasn't tuned, no O2 sensor installed, computer not picking up info, pcv system not hooked up, & other sensors not installed. All this is now completed. BIG Difference. Runs VERY GOOD. And fast.
I'm not convinced that any engineering work went into these cars. This company likely hasn't made very many of these cars, and their owners don't seem to be very vocal about them. From appearances alone, it feels like this company hasn't succeeded in making many of them in the past 21 years. It feels like they care more about showing off flashy designs more than they care about sharing any details about how their cars were engineered.

A lcd screen instead of those analog speedometer gauges would go along way. It had everything else might as well make it a perfecr package.

Cool idea and it's neat but there seems to be a few too many things that say it's low quality. I dig it and love the direction they are going.

We have different powertrains and configurations for every taste, from 300+ engine to up to 800+. All depends on customer's budget.

Why is everyone talking about the center seat with the two side seats as an Homage to the McLaren F1, the entire car is essentially a replica.

Would be good with an LS and a good paddle shift or manual. That's what I'd expect for six figures.
