I dont listen to LD so much lately but when I do man it feels like talking to an old friend and knowing nothing has changed. Sort of comforting.
I've never related to a comment more tbh.
Hearing these songs with clearer vocal mixing feels so weird yet so much better...
Don't get me wrong, the studio versions are magical on their own. I just love that the vocals are turned up.
If I'm honest mate it really hurts because this is how the studio versions should sound I was so disappointed when they were released with the awful mixing which drowns out the vocals which I think is one of the most important parts of the band. It's a shame but it's only my opinion I know a lot of people disagree.
@@08Nez I was also disappointed, but I get that it simply wasn't their focus this time. That's fine. Like la dispute always say, each record is just a product of where they are currently as individuals both personally and musically, and that includes even the choice to dial down the vocals a bit. But like ya'll i prefer these live versions. With them not really screaming nor singing ever exclusively, I've always loved hearing the nuances such as the gradual shifts from singing to screaming in songs like woman reading or the end of bruised bodies. It's still there, but they just don't pop out as much.
Will Yip ruined Pano by burying the vocals and this just shows how terrible he is.
@@donlove5735 you do know will yip was in charge of this too right, it just wasn't their focus this time around
I agree with you on another level. I love la dispute but I just could get with this album because I couldn’t hear any vocals. I was really hoping I could find someone who re-mixed the album with higher vocals that I could download.
Best Jordan vocals change my mind.
bLeEd oUT LoUd
theyre even better live than on the record and i love this album
I love this record but this amazing performance just solidifies my want for a remix with the vocals at this volume.
You were breaking like the ground beneath me, burn up like a dream
I keep off lightning strikes on summer nights on television
Now I needed you to be there to carry me to sleep
That night I tripped and broke my rib cage on a bar seat drunk for weeks
Chasing ambulances, stumbled to my bedsheets
Softly drift off after peaceful things
I had once a release down in the streets
Now hear it beyond, our footsteps ending at the pond
Don't get why you believed in me so much to follow and retrieve it all
That sanctity I scattered so indifferently
Still you called on me breathe you out, you begged the breeze:
"Relieve me from what settles deep and burns down underneath if you believe"
My love's like a battered dog, wanders under street signs
Subside into nothingness
Burns up like a bad dream gone
I guess I needed you to freeze me out
Those corners of your dreams
I think you needed me to bleed out loud
I guess I needed you to freeze me up
Those corners of your dreams
I guess you needed me to leave
Still you carried me to sleep, leaving the dream retreats
Grasping for an older me, some faded image
And it carries you to sleep, breathes out in the fog before me
And cat tails hit your knees to sense some soul promise
To scatter all their seeds, to grow before they leave
For life and all its consequential, complicated scenes
They shake you out of sleep
Scrape your knees beneath your feet
I think we bleed because we need to bleed
We bleed because we need
I just wanted you to carry on and carry me
I guess I wanted you to need the things I needed you to be
I just wanted you to carry on and carry for me
I guess I wanted you to leave
I guess you needed me to bleed
Out loud
I guess I needed you to freeze me out
Those corners of your dreams
I guess you needed me to bleed out loud
I guess I needed you to freeze me up
Those corners of your dreams
I guess I needed me to leave
Come and shake me from my sleep
Burn up in a bad dream like a belief
Come and shake me from my sleep
Come and help me believe
I want to carry you
“I guess I wanted you to need the things I needed you to be.” :(
I came up watching these guys and getting to know them while growing up. I can't describe how happy I am that they've gotten rhe recognition and exposure they've always deserved. I doubt any of you will ever see this, but it's been an honor getting to know you all over the years.
Anybody disliking this must be lost. This is perfect.
best track in the album omg I'm crying
Magical. Thank you La Dispute and everyone involved in this studio session.
When I first listened to this band (Such Small Hands) I loathed them. Now, I love them! I remember listening to Panorama for the very first times & being blown away by the musicianship of this brilliant band. Listening to them really helped me put my life together after I was let out from a Psychiatric Hospital last year. & I'm breaking my gig-spell of two years by seeing these guys in the UK next month! Gosh, these guys are really something & I'm so happy that they're here & creating authentic & original music. Much love!
Their music always help me through times I’m feeling low
i went to a show of theirs a few years back just because id heard the name thrown around with some bands i was into. im very glad i did. i walked out with their 3 albums and they walked out with at least one new fan.
So much better than the album mix!
The progression of this band is so insane; truly legends
This song is rad
Its been almost a decade since I first listened to LD they still give such familiar sound and gut wrenching feel.
You guys are absolutely insane. This music is so special and important. This song and every song you guys have down is special and practically unexplainable, you just have to expierence it and I am greatful to have been able to expierence these journeys while I'm here. Thanks so much these live versions sound absolutely perfect and I'd love to see ya live asap. Just finding the videos and it's so cool to watch such beautiful musicians perform this amazing journey.
Shout out to Will Yip who engineered this incredible mix!
Such a relief to hear them again! 🎉😇🎀🎀🖤
Got to see them last year, so good
Pure magic.
Best song ever!
Oh yes 😊👍🤘🤘
Niiiiice!
this is such a good album, i remember when it came out and holy shit was i stoked. i’ve been listening for a long time
Ahhhh nostalgia. I haven’t listened to LD in so long but fuck I miss them.
Sooo good
Y'all never fail to progress, lovely.
I said god bless you after a show when I was 19 to the blonde haired guy and he just stared at me with no expression, why? It really broke my heart.
This sounds so much better than the album version, I love the mix! For me, the vocals are where they belong and the bass sound is amazing!
you guys always impress me
amazing stuff.
wow.
This is so much better than the studio version
these recordings are better than on the album.
Dat bass growlin
This is so good
I feel this is mixed much better than the studio recording. How is that possible…
deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelícia
Everything is great about you guys La Dispute..one thing though add some Solo's...it will be outstanding..the most unique you guys will be..
Ash H You don’t listen to very much La Dispute I can tell.
@@dahellknight yeah I am hearing them for the first time...
@@ashh2185 yo listen to Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair the instrumental solo sections are brilliant on the whole record.
Ash H I think it’s about contributing to the greater whole of the music and not just singling one instrument out. Definitely venture into them some more
We bleed because we need to bleed.
Fucking love this band so talented
ILYGUYS
Is that the old guitarist from My Iron Lung?
Мне запало!!! Cool

Better mix than the original..
This reminds me of say anything
tc local
"From my previous comments" The vocal mix is so much better on these. Panorama is my least favorite album because of how the vocals are mixed. It's their decision on how to mix but I just disagree with it. The vocals are what make this band unique. Putting that in the background is just a disservice.
Well I agree the vocals are too quiet in this album but from a (self-proclaimed) music theorist's standpoint the instrumentals are just as brilliant as the vocals on every record.
@@drumsandcymbals8779 They are 100%, but I feel like the lyrics and the peotic style of the band is what got most people into them in the first place. At least in my case.
Vocals are too loud here
the bass player's last name is Vass 😂
mais du coup ils sont français ?
Mais non, malgré leur nom francophone, ils viennent du Michigan.
low test
Where is the guy with the lyrics 😂
not quite my tempo!
