I do like fairmont it is a nice place. I live in Westmoreland County PA and pass through it on my way to other parts of WV like Blackwater Falls and Summersville Lake

Agreed. Fairmont born and raised... it sucks. I got the heck out of there and I won't be back!

@catking radio a small town in Iowa. I can see the sky here... no mountains or trees to obstruct the view. Heaven just feels closer in the Midwest. I can be in downtown Des Moines in less than an hour. I have all the benefits of small town/rual living with all the perks of a big city near by. Not to mention, trucking companies can get me HOME here. Which is more than I can say about the 6-8 weeks I spent OTR when I lived in WV and 200+ unpaid miles I drove from Columbus, OH or Mechanicsburg, PA to Fairmont just have the *luxury* of parking my truck at the K&T. I have 1 niece in Marion County, everyone else I knew is in a grave yard or they moved too.

Actually visited Fairmont, Clarkesburg, along with Wheeling when I drove out to Morgantown last August… nice towns… but kinda empty (except for the University) much more pleasant people than on the East Coast. I was thinking of maybe relocating there… until I heard WV - TAXES - Socialist Security!?! WTF!!!
