Man, in every "honest review" people are praising it and it just feels ingenuine. Half the time they don't explain anything and just say it's good and that they taste the flavour. I prefer more flavour in my flavoured drinks, so it means a lot that you actually tell us how faint it is. Cheers for the review lad. 👍
You're very welcome. Yes definitely if you want more flavour in your drinks then this is one to stay well clear from
because this company is funded by a pretty hefty corporation in China so they've been shilling out and paying TONS of tiktokers for paid adverts. Just this week alone I've seen 4 of my following tiktokers (all like 500k+ followers) all shilling this absolute garbage product. You can see the reviews across all of the amazon listings as well all are 2.5-3.5 stars.

Are you saying you are supposed to smell it first and not lift it or are you suggesting that I didn't lift it? I'm well aware it is supposed to be lifted as mentioned in the instructions and that is what I did clearly in the video. I didn't say it doesn't work I said the flavour is very weak but I'm aware that for others it works better so I guess you're one of the luckier ones.
This video was the only thing that convinced my son that it's a gimmick. None of the other reviews did.

yea cirkul is good thats what im using now but im getting this one too becaue the cartridges are alot cheaper and do 1.5 times more bottles than cirkul does.
I’d be fuming too 😂 generally I stay away from any products that need pod/special refills

I asked around and got told it's like sparkling water with flavor. Not pronounced like sodas or other sugary drinks, but it's there. I feel like it may be for SOME people, but the amount of experiences I see that are like yours made me rethink purchasing it.

Yeh you're right. Tbh I went from caring too much and getting burnt out to not caring at all and just putting out what I want. I understand now that consistency and longevity alone is not the answer. Have to formulate a strategy that works and monitor progress.
I will be making some radical changes on the channel in the coming weeks so stay tuned.
Bought it about a year back and I felt it was really annoying because air escapes the straw for it to “activate” but it’s like getting a hole in a normal straw at a restaurant man 😂

They aggressive ad almost made me buy it. However, their price just for a bottle, and the refill is sick. Also, the delivery price is very high, and I was lucky not to press the buy botton in the last second. Now I'm so glad I found your video. There are no magic I wish to believe. I better spend my 50 euros on 142l just pure bottled water instead of getting this scam. 👍
I wouldn't necessarily call it a scam, just very effective marketing. If the flavour was stronger and half the price it would be a steal but no.
I’m just seeing your video today and I haven’t read all your comments, so it’s quite possible that someone may already have mentioned what I’m about to say.
I was gifted one of these bottles for Christmas and like yourself, at first, thought it wasn’t working. So I scoured TH-cam as you do and found a video of a guy who was reviewing the bottle. It was only after watching the at I realised you have to pull the filter thing right up so that that when you sip through the straw the water makes a bubbling sound, which in turn sucks air up at the same time. THEN you get the FULL aroma of the filter pod.
Seriously. It really DOES work.

😄 so that bubbling sound isn't audible in the video but there was a bubbling sound. Thoroughly watched lots of videos before making two videos of my own. It just doesn't work for me. In the subsequent video I made I tried a lot of different flavours. All very weak.

Yes that's correct because if you tilt the bottle the water doesn't get sucked through
He means the flavour won’t be in reach with your nose 😊
@@LJ-G1NGE-Editzzz no that's not what I meant. If you tilt the bottle it's at an angle where the water inside moves away from the straw. Remember the straw doesn't move around, it's fixed in one spot. So tilting will effect the water being sucked through the straw. The vapour which creates the flavour is just the process of water flowing through the straw when the pod is activated.
I got an air up because everyone was saying how good they were and I was curious. I’ve tried peach and cassis and cassis was the better one, peach didn’t taste of anything. But I realise I like my water actually flavoured. I can’t stand weak squash, I have strong squash and it weirds people out so I guess it kind of makes sense that I didn’t get on with it

I have one and have had the same one for 2 year and it is good
I got one for myself for Christmas and after an initial disappointment, I discovered that I hadn't the straw fully inserted into the mouthpiece - once I did that the flavour was a lot more noticeable (granted some flavours seem very weak, but they were there for the most part).
What flavour was the most noticeable and the best?
@@pryt0n180 The most noticeable was Cherry which I didn't like at ALL (almost a chemical taste) the rest were a lot weaker, but I found myself quite liking yuzu and rosemary. It's not too overpowering and there's a nice after taste of rosemary off it. I am still experimenting with it if I'm honest. :)
That's interesting cos a few people have been saying that it depends on the flavour you get cos the pods have different strengths. Also heard that some have an awful chemical taste. Got me thinking that I should do another review.

I don’t think it has to do with luck, I think it just has to do with whatever flavor resonates better for you. Some flavors suck and some are really mild and some are really good.

Well, I have tbh. When I first heard about air up I was really intrigued but when I heard the price tag was not for it. In the end I got a sensibly priced water bottle and only went ahead to get this one solely to review it on the channel. Was going to sell it after but the Mrs loves the bottle so ensure up gifting her. Oh and I made the money back so win win

Hey bro, to make it work if the pod is new you have to turn it upwards and wait for 10 minutes and dont drink on it yet then after 10 minutes you put the pod in and it will work!

Hi just a quick ask- when u tilt the air up does it leak????? Today only I bought 850ml and when I am tilting it from the orange silicon top water is coming out. Is it normal?

i think their whole goal here was to provide a "healthier" alternative to other flavored drinks but you can get flavored sparkling water or even carbonated beverages(like Bubbl'r) which have much more flavor and the difference in calories and sugars is miniscule if not completely the same as Air Up. Since i first saw their ads i was super skeptical. They try to make themselves sound really smart and revolutionary but in reality they just stuck scents and water together and thought that it was ingenious. If you really need flavor with your water you can find flavor packets with 0 sugar and 0 calories for infinitely cheaper than their products.

Unfortunately the flavored sparkling waters (most of them) are unhealthy because of the artificial sweeteners used. Apparently Bubbl'r is different tho
Tbh I think those so called sparkling waters should just be called diet drinks because artificially sweetening them makes them no longer water. The flavoured water I'm referring to when comparing to air up is sparkling water with natural flavours of fruit. They taste similar to when you put fruit in your water. Brands like dash, loveau and aqua Libra.

Well technically it's not artificially flavoured as nothing extra is going in the water you drink. Just artificial aromas but in my opinion it does a poor job

I don't get why you can't return the bottles. 🤔They should be perfectly cleanable. Body is steel and mouthpiece should be replacable. So why no refurbished ones in store?

You actually make a very valid point but I guess for their sake its cost saving. They probably know they will get a lot of unhappy customers based on how subjective the tech is so they hide behind the guise of health and safety.

@@RileySerola definitely, on air up pod packets they usually have strength ratings for example coffee is 5/5 while blueberry is 3/5 so I’d try the 5/5 pods
Ik this is late but if u read this and get a new one, u need to wait like 5-10 mins for it to work. Not all of them need to, mine did though. After about 7 minutes, it worked.

You need to have the straw blowing bubbles and if you are doing that then make sure the straw is in the right position
It's funny to me how everyone has an opinion of how I'm not doing it right when I clearly did it right in the video. Yes the straw was blowing bubbles, yes the bottle was held upright, yes the pod was lifted up. The flavour was just weak. I gave the bottle to the Mrs as she likes it and she admits the flavour is quite weak.
Hey TIP: you need to hear a slurping sound and have to make air bubbles and dont tilt it hop it works noa 🙂

by the way i have one it works great but it depends on how cold the water is if it super cold its gonna be like how you tasted it if if its a litte cold it work i have watermelon if its warm its works great !!!!!
You're telling me the temperature of the water has an impact on flavour. There always seems to be a new hack as to how to get this think to work better which for me is problematic. In any case I will try that even though I prefer my water chilled.

@@torync8775 I agree with the sparkling water. I should have mentioned that as a point in the second video I made. Not sure if you've seen it but I tried 9 other flavours. Still haven't tried this warmer water phenomenon. If I can remember this evening I will give it a go and let you know

Very honest review. I got one of these air up in the week it’s a complete waste of money for personally it has nothing but plain water. No taste at all. I would not recommend this product 😢

I can smell the scent, and actually I don’t like strong taste, but what drives me crazy as the straw it feels like the straw has a hole in it - Anyway, I love your review from a fellow brit on. One good thing because I live in the states at least it doesn’t have any Red number 40 in it 😂😂😂

Hi! I have a quick suggestion, I have many friends who have it and they use the plastic bottles and not the new steel ones. And Im quite sure you have to pull the pod up and not press it down. Like you press it down and then u pull it up and then you drink. It really works very well. Im not sure if its because of the steel bottle or you haven't pulled it up

If you watched the video properly you will note that I read the Air Up Instructions right out of the box. The whole point of pushing it down is just to ensure the pod is fitted on the bottle properly. You lift the pod up to activate the flavour and you push it down if you don't want any flavour.

Part of taste is the food particles coming through you mouth and you nose. This might work better if you breath through your nose from the flavoring and then sip.
No that doesn't work because you can't smell anything when you're about to sip the water. Your nose has to be right up against the pod which is impossible when sipping. And no human can sip and breathe at the same time.

I have an offbrand version because we cant get this in canada, and i looove it! Its helped me go from drinking maybe 1 cup a day to over a litre lol i guess im lucky with my sense of smell because to me it actually tastes like im drinking oeach juice

@AveragePerson._. nope, it's weird to describe bit it's like you smell it through the sinus at the back of your mouth haha maybe for some people it helps then get the flavor, but you aren't smelling that way when you drink anyways
