I like this one much better too. It stays the same strength from first sip to last. You don't need to turn it up at the end, and a 9 would still be a 9 at the end. They last longer than you expect too so cost is actually low.

I just got a bottle and a few sips to try but intend on refilling them myself due to having the skill/materials so price doesn't bother me. (I don't drink water so I'm trying to use this as a way to help get past my hate of plain water)
for the people saying you can only buy it online: i actually found my cirkul water bottle with 2 cartridges at walmart a few days ago for 20 bucks! they also sell extra cartridges for about $4 too! I only have been using it for a few days but I love it already, I use it on setting 2 and I get more than 6 servings. I am also one of those people that doesn’t like water so finding a product where I can up my water intake & it has a good flavor is a win in my book!
I saw it to cause my daughter got one and to me it’s a waist and not very environmentally friendly like coffee pods Plastics are not biodegradable but the other pacs are from aluminum foil packets etc . Plus way cheaper

@@lonesoul1428 They're not designed to last too long because they make a majority of their money from the flavor pods. Even trying to keep it on 4 only gives around 50 or 60 ounces of satisfying flavor, for me. But the idea is exactly what I want, so I'm still trying to determine if it's worth the price. 10 flavors a week is like 35 bucks which is right on the cusp of sounding like too much, but maybe not if I stay away from soda, energy, and other sports drinks. And I like that there are a lot of different flavors to try.
I was one of the people they changed that cap for. It used to be pull out and you could do it with your teeth. It sucked my tongue into the cap and cut it pretty bad. I really respect the company because they changed the whole cap. Even if it isn't the flawless design. I love these.
The pods remind me of these straws my mom would buy me as a kid that made your plain milk flavored like chocolate or strawberry. Straw had like beans in it not a pod at all but kinda the same concept. Anyway just brought back a weird good memory. Thanks for the fun and informational video
We've been using Cirkul for a few years and have really enjoyed it. It does get us to drink a lot more water than we would which is great. Our favorite flavors are Fruit Punch and Watermelon.
Ive had mine for 3 years now. My favorite is white cherry. I get my water in for day and I love it. Yes I wish we could send back the cartridges to recycle ♻️
Old post but I just bought Cirkul. I'm curious does the flavor last for as long as advertised for you? I can't seem to get more than 3 22 ounce bottles on a 4 setting. It's supposed last 6
You think they would make them more decomposable. I think that’s why I’m alil put off on buying it when i could buy something less harmful for the environment and just poor it into my water
My guess is that you're supposed to increase the intensity up as you drink the pods. It would stand to reason that the more you use it, the less flavor there would be. So a full pod set to 3 would be the same concentration as a half empty pod set on 6 and an almost empty pod on setting 9.
As someone who participated in their kick starter YEARS ago, I'm glad they have improved their product. When they first came out they were TERRIBLE. Cartridges broke after a few uses if they even worked at all and the bottle leaked BADLY!
I can personally attest to their latest version as I just received it in the mail about a week ago (from the date of this comment). It's a pretty good product, looks like they put that kickstarter money to good use, I would definitely not call this a scam.

The coffee is the worst one for me. I have had mine for several months now and I am still working through the flavors. The fin on the back of the sip is for the lid.
@@c-valueenigma4977 Yes, the lid is the only part you keep throughout different sips unless you're also using a filter such as I am, which attaches below the lid, and I keep that on there for like 30 sips.
The little fin at the back of the flavor cartridge is for you to tuck the cap behind it so it stays out of the way. That's why the cap has 2 ends and is hollow in the middle. So you tuck the cap behind the fin and it keeps it out of the way.
I really dislike anything with Stevia; like I can tell it’s in there without even looking at the ingredients. I’ll happily take any artificial sweeteners over it.
They make a energy drink cirkul called a fission. Website call drinkfission. Plus the lid can be hold in place with the cap. I think make a part 2 go with it. Have a good day.
I tend to agree with your review- overall, pretty good! Cons: The cartridges are not labeled, so I have to use a Sharpie or such to keep track of the flavors and they leak when you take them out, so it takes some adjustment to not have water all over when refilling the bottle. Buying the flavors can be pricey gamble... you're out nearly $4 if you don't like the flavor... I wish they had some way to sample them first. I've thrown a bunch away that I don't like, wasted money... The suction required to pull the water through can be a little tough for some of my family members to use often. Pros: flavors are mostly very good! A handy way to enjoy some flavored water.
I found them when they were still on kickstarter or whatever site they were on. I was really excited to see that they had an electrolyte based cartage since I'm someone who deals w/chronic dehydration. Unfortunately, after a while my migraines had gotten worse (I'm a chronic migraine sufferer and they are triggered by weather and artificial sweeteners). I guess not only do artificial sweeteners cause migraines, but so does stevia and sucralose. I was really upset that I couldn't use them any longer because I really liked them, well the ones they had at the time. :) Anyway, I hope others are finding them beneficial!
I never knew stevia causes migraines, I am a chronic migraine sufferer myself, and nothing I do helps,; sadly I drink lots of regular soda and Kool-Aid mixed with stevia, I am very allergic to Aspartame, was so bad I was bedridden, was told by poison control I was Aspartame poisoned
Yea, a lot of companies use stevia & sucralose since they aren't artificial, but I did find recently something called Water Magic when we were at Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati a month or so ago & I ordered more from Water Magic's site. They are in straws & you're supposed to drink the water through the straw, but I cut the straw open & dump it in my water & wait for the little beads to dissolve. Right now, those are what I've found that work for me.
I have been using Cirkul for about six months. I like the flavors but most of the fruit flavors taste kind of the same to me but that could be the aftereffects of Covid. For some reason, some flavors seem to last longer than others. I really like the Lemonades. The retail refills that they sell in Walmart that come in boxes are actually marked unlike the ones that come directly from Cirkul. It's obviously easier to keep track of the flavors from the retail version of the refills. I tried the subscribe option, it's good but my frequency of using the bottles has changed and that kind of messed me up for a while and I have now suspended my subscription options. You're absolutely right about the lid getting in the way. Also, it's initially too tight to open. A couple of them I had to pry open. Cirkul can learn something from French's mustard plastic dispensers. They have the perfect lids that lock in place when you open them. They should pay a royalty to French's and do the same thing. It would be nice if it locked in the open position and kept out of the way.
It depends on the setting. I use setting 2 or 3 and I get about 10 bottles per sip. Husband sets his on 5 to 6 and gets between 4 and 6 bottles. It will all be based on how strong you like it.
It's possible he will do a "1 yr later" vid with this and give another review after he used it for a longer period of time. He does re-review vids every so often so we'll see if he still uses it next yr.
As others have said in the thread here, he will very likely do a 1-year-later update on this, especially considering how much he seemed to like it. Assuming the company stays in business, he seems like he is going to continue using it regardless of TH-cam just because he liked the product, a similar throwback to the other smart bottle he reviewed a couple of years ago. I will definitely be curious what he thinks of the product.
I've been using it on and off (more on than off) for over a year and I absolutely love them. I will say I've noticed the cartridges you buy online are way better quality than the ones they sell through Walmart though.
I've been using mine for a few years now. I need to drink some flavors on a higher number than others to get the same intensity. But I usually drink at a 4 or 5 and they will last about 3 or 4 days. Thanks for the links to the hacks, I didn't know you could do that.
Partially recyclable, but you have to disassemble them and remove the foil pouch, which isn't recyclable. I'm not sure most consumers will want to do that.
Don't know no if you'll see this comment but the cap cover actually can spin around the nozzle and you can tuck it underneath the fin of the lid. It even has directions on the inside of the plastic hinge that says to tuck under the fin.
I love this water bottle, we caught them on sale at Kroger for $7.50 which came with the 20 oz bottle and 3 pure sip inserts. They also had other inserts on sale individually for $1.48 a great steal!! And there is a clip part on the top of the bottle now to secure the cap while you’re drinking. Your review may have helped them change the design☺️ can’t wait to try the other inserts, I didn’t know they had that many to choose from. Great review!!

I’ve had it about two weeks. I kind of hate having to suck on the bottle to get the flavor. I love the taste, I usually hate artificial sweeteners so I never was into mio or other water sweeteners in the past. I’d prefer if they had like a Brittany filter you could pour in a regular glass. I feel like I’ll get bucked teeth 🦷 from this bottle
According to the website they have a free flowing water bottle now so you shouldn't have to suck to get the water out that's my only complaint so far is I don't like to have to suck on a bottle to get water out

I hated drinking pure water unless i was physically challenged from my work being a food service delivery driver. And this is just awesome to drink casually! Love the amount of flavors they have!
The waste and the long term cost is what got me. I didn't like the cost but the product itself is good. I did try the various ways to make them go longer but those systems would only last about 4-5 more times of refill. I broke down and got myself Infuze to find they are a lot stronger in flavor. If you get their or any drink infusers, fill half of the reservoir with water and the other half with the infuser. One small bottle of the drink infuser lasts me about 3-4 of the reservoir refills.
Yeah, I was spacing as I was watching the video and though that each sip was getting stronger as he went. I'm like, "Why is he still sipping it if it's getting stronger?" Then, I realized he was adjusting a setting and I was, like, "Oh." lol
So I heard about this brand on tiktok, but it was this video that got me too buy into it. So far I love it. Also for someone that doesn't drink water pretty often, it's total helped me drink more water.
Thr longevity varies. I get one day out of my honey crisp apple because I love it and run it like on 4 and drink my water a lot. For some reason grape lasts me longer. But I don't really care how long they last or not if the flavors gone I get a new one.

I've been debating trying Cirkul. I am a member of Weight Watchers and I earn "wins" for tracking my food, weight, activity, etc. You can trade in your "wins" for a variety of different items, including Cirkul gift cards. I had been debating whether or not to give it a try. Thank you for sharing your review. I decided to go ahead and trade in my "wins" for a Cirkul gift card and ordered a bottle and several sips to try. I like Crystal Light and Mio and always have those in the house. I wouldn't normally have tried this, but since it didn't cost me any of my own money....

Freaking ingenious invention. A juice concentrate-dispenser (basically). Not to keen on these generic flavors tho... Maybe baby if Sodastream makes a version with PepsiMax. I'd be hook line and sinker for something like that.
The way the flavor works it requires suction inside the bottle however, after about three sips, you can no longer get water out so you have to open the lid to let air in this is true to every bottle they have if they could fix that it would be a great product
To solve that issue remove the cap off the bottle then turn it over and locate the little silicone piece that looks like a flathead screwdriver , that is the air valve to let air get into the bottle as you drink...very gently move that valve back and forth to loosen it up because they get stuck from time to time.
I can’t have Stevia or artificial sweeteners including the other one you mentioned that I can’t spell. I have fibromyalgia and those sweeteners send me into fibromyalgia flares for days. I think I’m safer sticking to just water. We use the Zero Water system to filter our water.
I don’t know how the insides work, but if they could do a thing like how cleaning detergent powder come in big bags to reduce plastic, I’d actually buy this
Idk if anyone has posted this and I'm not going to read all the comments to see. As far as the cap on the lid, there is a place on the lid where you can push the slits on the cap through and you can then push it under the handle. It keeps the lid out of the way while you drink.
I have one of these bottles, if you want to you can fold the little cap back, and it will stay on the fin on the part that rotates for the flavor. also, depending on the flavor I generally use lvl 3 or 4. and I get about 5 bottles of water per insert. also, I do like the tea flavors, and the berry, but my two favorites so far are strawberry watermelon, and the raspberry lemonade.
Interesting... I have an Infuze water bottle well cap that I use with my 64oz Hydro Flask. What's easy is I don't have to buy their flavor enhancer I just buy MiO or any water flavors enhancer.... Had it for 2 years and still going strong. Cirkul looks interesting but my Infuze and being able to buy my own flavor enhancers from any Grocery Store is hard to beat IMO. Still such an awesome review I'm interested in trying lol
@@xxgn I bought an Infuze because it definitely seems like the better product, but it needs fixes. My first lid is inconsistent with flavor, the second lid (support sent to replace the first one) has perfect flavor but leaks. The idea is GREAT, the execution leaves a lot to be desired.
@@__aceofspades I agree! While I am still using the cap, I don't have flavors in it because it leaks. And I don't drink flavored water enough to really be excited about it. I tried this sips too but I just like pure water. The infuze, you don't have to top the bottle up either!
There's a guy on YT, goes by JustAskCarlos, who has done a lot of videos on Cirkul and some videos on Infuse. He I think still uses both products, though seems to prefer Cirkul. He has a couple great videos comparing Cirkul to Infuze, and really it comes down to preference between the two. When I had neither, I watched his videos, and various factors made me choose Cirkul over Infuze, but he made a strong argument for Infuze. For me, it seemed to me as if buying sips would be more convenient than buying flavor enhancers at the store, and so I went for Cirkul. I still believe that's accurate for me, but Infuze absolutely seems to be a quality product, especially newer versions of the Infuze system seem to be better quality than they used to be, as Carlos broke down old vs new Infuze, so it's all down to your own preference.
As for the cap you can use the strips to open the cap and you can latch the cap to the handle. You can buy the cartridges in store at walmart using ebt food stamps, you can open te cartridge and fill it with water enhancer like mio, the 22 oz you can get 6 refills but with 32 you only get 4. Im sure you can get more than 6 refills with the 12 oz. Online they have bottle drops with exclusive designs and exclusive flavors regularly. Their newest bottle drop is a stanley style tumbler with a straw. Online you can also customize your own bottle, you can get a case for the cartridges if you want to interchange them and you can get a filter
Thank you for this video. Very helpful. I had purchased recently once I saw you could add ice to it. I prefer more ice to my water. My only down fall is I love my hydro with the straw. This can get really heavy lifting it up to drink that way. Wish it came with a straw, but I do like it. I can't wait to try the iced coffee!!

Just ordered this.. I don’t remember any cons mentioned in the video for the actual BOTTLE as it seems to be only a REVIEW for the different flavors. So I’ll mention a few for the bottle itself. CONS 1. The bottle cap cover is kind of annoying. Keeps hitting your cheek when you sip it. 2. Takes two hands to open so it’s not all that convenient. 3. No different color caps (as of 8/25/2021) 4. It leaks if you have it upside down for too long. 3:06 you can see where you twist the cap to the bottle, that’s where it leaks if it’s upside down for too long. Doesn’t leak if you drink it normally though. 5. The amount of force needed to suck the water is quite significant. 6. It’s kind of a waste of plastic lol. For every flavor you replace, you throw away the actual whole cap and get a new one lol. 7. Not bottle related, but more company-related is that they didn’t let me design my own design because it was too “inappropriate” (picture of dolphins), missed opportunity on their part. Still waiting on the refund to change from “Create your own design” bottle to the normal one. Pros 1. You can use the cap on other bottles like the camelback or hydroflask. Which is pretty cool because you can’t even interchange those two caps. In other words, you don’t have to buy Cirkuls stainless bottle if you already have a vaccum sealed one (which their bottle isn’t even vaccum sealed).
On the strength, something has gone wrong in the production. It's way too strong too early but you do get the cartridges to last longer. You'll notice is the opposite on others where you have to go to almost 7 before you can taste it
There's the PureSips, the Pineapple James tried in this video, in addition to Cucumber, Apple, Peach, Raspberry, Lemon, Pear, and Tangerine. My experience is, as he said, that they're weaker, because they're unsweetened, and so for me, I didn't enjoy them. But they are there, with 8 flavors to choose from. It's the biggest line of sips they have after the LifeSips, there's only like 4 options for coffee and tea, for example.
You can also just add fresh real fruit to a water bottle hehe like apple, strawberry lemon basil is a good combo, and basil lemon or lemon mint and cucumber hope this help you
Something that I learned is you don't want to lay it down where it's upside down when you put the water in especially if you're in a warm car and I use the little finger thing to hold the cap when I drink
I have this. It's pretty good. I like the grape flavor the most currently. They last me about 6+ refills. It also depends. I've noticed that the cartridges will either last the right amount or not as long. I always put mine between 2 and 3. I know when the flavor starts getting less when I have to move the dial slowly towards 10 to keep getting flavor. I used to like fruit punch but I think they changed the recipe or something. I just don't like it as much anymore.
Bought this a few months ago and really like it. Only downside is the size bottle they offer, by the time you get ice in there then water and the cartridge takes space, you don’t get much water so I’m constantly filling. I didn’t know I could use the caps onto other bottles so I will try to find a 30oz that works!
So I did purchase last month. Thoughts below! Mostly positive but some things not mentioned in the video review. I ordered a custom bottle and it took 3 or 4 weeks to even be shipped out (despite the claims of up to 2 weeks maximum), unfortunately! My experience with it so far - I live high-altitude in a dry place and am in the habit of drinking maybe two gatorades or sparkling water cans per day (sometimes more). I've used the water drop things before but it's more convenient to have a bottle or can that doesn't need washing since washing is hard for me due to some medical stuff. I'm trying to spend less on groceries. I just did my twice-a-month grocery shopping and, comparing my usual drink spending last time to this time, I spent $33.10 less because I know I have Cirkul at home. So for someone like me, the numbers make sense. (Full disclosure, I also did not buy the "fun drinks" I usually get as a treat, so it's not a 1:1 replacement.) I'm not raving about the taste or anything but I've had the lemon and the berry and they're both fine to me. I usually drink it on the notch 2 or 3 (enough to taste it but not much more), and drinking several bottles a day, one of them lasted a little over a week and a half. It took a little while to get used to the way the bottle works though - with normal bottles, there's suction and if you're chugging, you have to stop to let air in. Cirkul has a little notch that lets air in automatically (so you could chug the whole bottle without stopping if you were so inclined). At first I got annoyed and covered that with my thumb, but I did get used to it after a couple days. Once you get to the "bottom," you do have to keep cranking the notch up until it's all the way. Even then, I noticed that there's still a fair amount of liquid left in the little dispenser that will get wasted. I'm also skeptical about the claim of refilling them. Underneath the tube is just a vacuum-suctioned metallic bag with the water flavor. If I pierced it, I don't think the Cirkul would work - it would just leak. A zip-lock would not be air-tight either, and trying to rig something like aluminum foil might work for a little while before it fell apart. This would have to be heat/vacuum sealed around a tube, which I can't do at home. In terms of waste, I do think I'm probably consuming less plastic (see aforementioned spending on gatorade...) but I think some of the plastic COULD be washed and reused without much trouble. It wouldn't look as "cool" or be as user-friendly as just popping a new dispenser in there, and it might not be machine-washable, so I understand the business decision. I do wish that was an option though. The little tube at the bottom seems to be only for looks (though I could be wrong) and would be interchangeable and easily washable. I bought a second Cirkul bottle top because they are supposed to be interchangeable with most other bottles, and the regular Cirkul bottle is a little small for me. Unfortunately it's juuuust a little off-size to fit my Pogo 32-oz, which is a bummer. I do hate the idea of buying something that requires a branded refill cartridge, but like I said, I've saved at least $30 so far and I personally don't think I'm using more plastic than normal. Even if the company goes belly-up, I'll probably break even at worst. (I would need to find a new bottle cap that would fit the Cirkul bottle though, because it has a hole in the top for the drink cartridge... so, not ideal.) For reference, my spending was: $20 for the customized bottle, $15 for 4 cartridges (2 I haven't used yet... I'm kind of wary of the coffee flavor in retrospect), $5 for the extra Cirkul top, $3.29 tax, free shipping = $43.28. Their regular starter bundle without the custom bottle and extra lid is $30 for four flavor packets or $20 for two flavor things. Looks like they have already increased the cost for the custom bottle to $25 - $35. Actually, now that I'm writing this, I'm thinking I should just spend like $50 and hoard some flavor packets for the next however-many-months, just in case the price goes up or the company dies.
The bottles are $15 (or $20 with a sleeve). A bundle (bottle, sleeve, 4 flavors) is $35. The reason it cost James $43 is that he bought 6 flavors and an extra lid. I don't feel like accidentally leaving it somewhere is much different than accidentally leaving your water bottle somewhere.
@@xxgn Starter kit does pre-enroll you, but you have a lot of customization for that plan. I changed mine to 40 sips, brings the cost down to $2.50 per sip, and I get deliveries every 2-3mo because I don't go through 40 sips in just 1 month (tho a family would easy). You of course can pick out whatever flavors you like for that subscription plan.
My favorite setting is 3. When that flavoring is diminished, I go to 9 to see what the flavor is like. There is no indication for the flavor stick is out. PS they are now lableld.
I just got mine this week and I’m in love. 3 is the sweet spot for me. Honeycrisp Apple is my favorite flavor so far. I have 3 more to try when it runs out.
These all seem like a waste of plastic to me. What’s wrong with drinking water without being bougie? Crystal light and fruit water diffusers work just as well.With a heck of a lot less waste than those stupid plastic cartridges.
Some people (me included) need help in getting in to the habit of drinking water, especially if we're trying to take ourselves off of something like drinking way too much soda. Which is where I was when I started with Cirkul. It's not even close to bougie, it's we all should be drinking more water, and some of us really need to work on that. This helps a TON in doing that, and I've tried other ways such as crystal light or mio or even "enhanced" water, and they all have their issues which keep someone like me from having an easy time. I have ADHD, so that's most certainly part of it, I lose focus on things where I have to put in a reminder of some kind to have myself do it. With mio, it's remembering I even have them to pick water and even use it, and it's horrible trying to figure out how much is a proper amount of squirt. With crystal light or other powder drink mixes, you just go through so many of them so fast if you're really trying to use water as a way to get away from something like soda. The flavors also get extremely tiresome if you're having like 4 a day. Sure, if you're otherwise already drinking the proper water you should be, crystal light is more like a rare thing you decide hey I want some flavor in this water, but if you're using flavored water to take yourself away from soda, these powder drink mixes become too much. Also very dependent upon where you are for what you can get, my local stores only sells crystal light in 5 packs of single-use pouches. That's a day of the water I should be drinking. It's just not feasible, and online can be better, but ton of cardboard waste to order massive amounts of it online, so what's the difference? Also just bulky and in the way, a lot. I also tried enhanced water drinks. They were alright for a time, great flavor selection, alright price, etc, but I found myself sitting upon a ton of hard plastic bottles. Fruit water diffusers? Come on, if we're people addicted to soda, you think we have fresh fruit habits enough to do that? This is me shitting on myself here. With Cirkul? I bought a steel 40oz bottle, I use the cap, I fill it with ice and water, pop a sip on, and... I'm good. Drink that down, refill it, pop the sip back on, still good. Get a third refill of the 40oz, pop it back on, at this point I'm getting more water than flavor, but, that's a good thing. Finish it up, swap the sip. That's 120oz of water where I didn't use 7 16.9oz water bottles. What is more plastic waste, 7 empty 16.9oz water bottles or the one sip? By how much? If you're someone who's got no problem with proper water consumption, hey, that's fantastic, seriously, and yeah, you probably don't have any need for Cirkul. But many of us aren't as healthy as you are, some of us have to fight back against years or decades of unhealthy habits in order to try to change ourselves in at least this way to make ourselves more healthy, and Cirkul is fantastic to help us get there.
At 07:00 through 07:10 you can see the semi-circular "bump" or tab where the cap's strap locks onto (the strap is made with slit in it). I don't know why Circular doesn't point it out more for those of us who disliked that. Otherwise, it's a good product as long as you can adjust to the suction it requires to get the water flowing.
Never seen these things before but my initial review is: Too much plastic waste! Just use any bottle you like and add flavoring on your own instead, a lot more environmentally friendly!

I would assume the reason for the high settings on the bottle is for when your flavor starts running out so you can get every last bit out of it.
They actually say it will hold the same amount of flavor til the last drop. No matter the setting
I like this one much better too. It stays the same strength from first sip to last. You don't need to turn it up at the end, and a 9 would still be a 9 at the end. They last longer than you expect too so cost is actually low.

for the people saying you can only buy it online: i actually found my cirkul water bottle with 2 cartridges at walmart a few days ago for 20 bucks! they also sell extra cartridges for about $4 too! I only have been using it for a few days but I love it already, I use it on setting 2 and I get more than 6 servings. I am also one of those people that doesn’t like water so finding a product where I can up my water intake & it has a good flavor is a win in my book!

They're not designed to last too long because they make a majority of their money from the flavor pods.
Even trying to keep it on 4 only gives around 50 or 60 ounces of satisfying flavor, for me.
But the idea is exactly what I want, so I'm still trying to determine if it's worth the price.
10 flavors a week is like 35 bucks which is right on the cusp of sounding like too much, but maybe not if I stay away from soda, energy, and other sports drinks.
And I like that there are a lot of different flavors to try.

I was one of the people they changed that cap for. It used to be pull out and you could do it with your teeth. It sucked my tongue into the cap and cut it pretty bad. I really respect the company because they changed the whole cap. Even if it isn't the flawless design. I love these.
The pods remind me of these straws my mom would buy me as a kid that made your plain milk flavored like chocolate or strawberry. Straw had like beans in it not a pod at all but kinda the same concept. Anyway just brought back a weird good memory. Thanks for the fun and informational video

My guess is that you're supposed to increase the intensity up as you drink the pods. It would stand to reason that the more you use it, the less flavor there would be. So a full pod set to 3 would be the same concentration as a half empty pod set on 6 and an almost empty pod on setting 9.

As someone who participated in their kick starter YEARS ago, I'm glad they have improved their product. When they first came out they were TERRIBLE. Cartridges broke after a few uses if they even worked at all and the bottle leaked BADLY!
I can personally attest to their latest version as I just received it in the mail about a week ago (from the date of this comment). It's a pretty good product, looks like they put that kickstarter money to good use, I would definitely not call this a scam.

The coffee is the worst one for me. I have had mine for several months now and I am still working through the flavors. The fin on the back of the sip is for the lid.

The little fin at the back of the flavor cartridge is for you to tuck the cap behind it so it stays out of the way. That's why the cap has 2 ends and is hollow in the middle. So you tuck the cap behind the fin and it keeps it out of the way.
I really dislike anything with Stevia; like I can tell it’s in there without even looking at the ingredients. I’ll happily take any artificial sweeteners over it.

I tend to agree with your review- overall, pretty good! Cons: The cartridges are not labeled, so I have to use a Sharpie or such to keep track of the flavors and they leak when you take them out, so it takes some adjustment to not have water all over when refilling the bottle. Buying the flavors can be pricey gamble... you're out nearly $4 if you don't like the flavor... I wish they had some way to sample them first. I've thrown a bunch away that I don't like, wasted money... The suction required to pull the water through can be a little tough for some of my family members to use often. Pros: flavors are mostly very good! A handy way to enjoy some flavored water.
Get them the squeeze bottle it’s easier on people that can’t suck on the sips. Also it helps with any dental or other surgeries.

I found them when they were still on kickstarter or whatever site they were on. I was really excited to see that they had an electrolyte based cartage since I'm someone who deals w/chronic dehydration. Unfortunately, after a while my migraines had gotten worse (I'm a chronic migraine sufferer and they are triggered by weather and artificial sweeteners). I guess not only do artificial sweeteners cause migraines, but so does stevia and sucralose. I was really upset that I couldn't use them any longer because I really liked them, well the ones they had at the time. :) Anyway, I hope others are finding them beneficial!
They should come out with unsweetened electorlyte ones for people like you who suffer with that.

Yea, a lot of companies use stevia & sucralose since they aren't artificial, but I did find recently something called Water Magic when we were at Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati a month or so ago & I ordered more from Water Magic's site. They are in straws & you're supposed to drink the water through the straw, but I cut the straw open & dump it in my water & wait for the little beads to dissolve. Right now, those are what I've found that work for me.

I have been using Cirkul for about six months. I like the flavors but most of the fruit flavors taste kind of the same to me but that could be the aftereffects of Covid. For some reason, some flavors seem to last longer than others. I really like the Lemonades.
The retail refills that they sell in Walmart that come in boxes are actually marked unlike the ones that come directly from Cirkul. It's obviously easier to keep track of the flavors from the retail version of the refills.
I tried the subscribe option, it's good but my frequency of using the bottles has changed and that kind of messed me up for a while and I have now suspended my subscription options.
You're absolutely right about the lid getting in the way. Also, it's initially too tight to open. A couple of them I had to pry open. Cirkul can learn something from French's mustard plastic dispensers. They have the perfect lids that lock in place when you open them. They should pay a royalty to French's and do the same thing. It would be nice if it locked in the open position and kept out of the way.
You should've tested it for a bit longer letting us know how long they lasted.
It depends on the setting. I use setting 2 or 3 and I get about 10 bottles per sip. Husband sets his on 5 to 6 and gets between 4 and 6 bottles. It will all be based on how strong you like it.
He will generally keep using products and do an update video later.
It's possible he will do a "1 yr later" vid with this and give another review after he used it for a longer period of time. He does re-review vids every so often so we'll see if he still uses it next yr.
As others have said in the thread here, he will very likely do a 1-year-later update on this, especially considering how much he seemed to like it. Assuming the company stays in business, he seems like he is going to continue using it regardless of TH-cam just because he liked the product, a similar throwback to the other smart bottle he reviewed a couple of years ago. I will definitely be curious what he thinks of the product.
I've been using it on and off (more on than off) for over a year and I absolutely love them. I will say I've noticed the cartridges you buy online are way better quality than the ones they sell through Walmart though.

Partially recyclable, but you have to disassemble them and remove the foil pouch, which isn't recyclable. I'm not sure most consumers will want to do that.

I believe as the cartridge gets used you might have to turn it up to get the same flavor strength.
Don't know no if you'll see this comment but the cap cover actually can spin around the nozzle and you can tuck it underneath the fin of the lid. It even has directions on the inside of the plastic hinge that says to tuck under the fin.
I love this water bottle, we caught them on sale at Kroger for $7.50 which came with the 20 oz bottle and 3 pure sip inserts. They also had other inserts on sale individually for $1.48 a great steal!! And there is a clip part on the top of the bottle now to secure the cap while you’re drinking. Your review may have helped them change the design☺️ can’t wait to try the other inserts, I didn’t know they had that many to choose from. Great review!!

I’ve had it about two weeks. I kind of hate having to suck on the bottle to get the flavor. I love the taste, I usually hate artificial sweeteners so I never was into mio or other water sweeteners in the past. I’d prefer if they had like a Brittany filter you could pour in a regular glass. The waste and the long term cost is what got me. I didn't like the cost but the product itself is good. I did try the various ways to make them go longer but those systems would only last about 4-5 more times of refill. I broke down and got myself Infuze to find they are a lot stronger in flavor. If you get their or any drink infusers, fill half of the reservoir with water and the other half with the infuser. One small bottle of the drink infuser lasts me about 3-4 of the reservoir refills.

Thr longevity varies. I get one day out of my honey crisp apple because I love it and run it like on 4 and drink my water a lot. For some reason grape lasts me longer. But I don't really care how long they last or not if the flavors gone I get a new one.

I've been debating trying Cirkul. I am a member of Weight Watchers and I earn "wins" for tracking my food, weight, activity, etc. You can trade in your "wins" for a variety of different items, including Cirkul gift cards. I had been debating whether or not to give it a try. Thank you for sharing your review. I decided to go ahead and trade in my "wins" for a Cirkul gift card and ordered a bottle and several sips to try. I like Crystal Light and Mio and always have those in the house. I wouldn't normally have tried this, but since it didn't cost me any of my own money....

The way the flavor works it requires suction inside the bottle however, after about three sips, you can no longer get water out so you have to open the lid to let air in this is true to every bottle they have if they could fix that it would be a great product
To solve that issue remove the cap off the bottle then turn it over and locate the little silicone piece that looks like a flathead screwdriver , that is the air valve to let air get into the bottle as you drink...very gently move that valve back and forth to loosen it up because they get stuck from time to time.
I can’t have Stevia or artificial sweeteners including the other one you mentioned that I can’t spell. I have fibromyalgia and those sweeteners send me into fibromyalgia flares for days. I think I’m safer sticking to just water. We use the Zero Water system to filter our water.
They have unsweetened, like the Pineapple he tried.

Idk if anyone has posted this and I'm not going to read all the comments to see. As far as the cap on the lid, there is a place on the lid where you can push the slits on the cap through and you can then push it under the handle. It keeps the lid out of the way while you drink.
I have one of these bottles, if you want to you can fold the little cap back, and it will stay on the fin on the part that rotates for the flavor. also, depending on the flavor I generally use lvl 3 or 4. and I get about 5 bottles of water per insert. also, I do like the tea flavors, and the berry, but my two favorites so far are strawberry watermelon, and the raspberry lemonade.
They are labeled on the cartridge itself. The setting notch is use to put the spout cover. Just slide the spout cover and push down.
Interesting... I have an Infuze water bottle well cap that I use with my 64oz Hydro Flask. What's easy is I don't have to buy their flavor enhancer I just buy MiO or any water flavors enhancer.... Had it for 2 years and still going strong. Cirkul looks interesting but my Infuze and being able to buy my own flavor enhancers from any Grocery Store is hard to beat IMO. Still such an awesome review I'm interested in trying lol

@@xxgn I bought an Infuze because it definitely seems like the better product, but it needs fixes. My first lid is inconsistent with flavor, the second lid (support sent to replace the first one) has perfect flavor but leaks. The idea is GREAT, the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

There's a guy on YT, goes by JustAskCarlos, who has done a lot of videos on Cirkul and some videos on Infuse. He I think still uses both products, though seems to prefer Cirkul. He has a couple great videos comparing Cirkul to Infuze, and really it comes down to preference between the two. When I had neither, I watched his videos, and various factors made me choose Cirkul over Infuze, but he made a strong argument for Infuze.
For me, it seemed to me as if buying sips would be more convenient than buying flavor enhancers at the store, and so I went for Cirkul. I still believe that's accurate for me, but Infuze absolutely seems to be a quality product, especially newer versions of the Infuze system seem to be better quality than they used to be, as Carlos broke down old vs new Infuze, so it's all down to your own preference.
As for the cap you can use the strips to open the cap and you can latch the cap to the handle.
You can buy the cartridges in store at walmart using ebt food stamps, you can open te cartridge and fill it with water enhancer like mio, the 22 oz you can get 6 refills but with 32 you only get 4. Im sure you can get more than 6 refills with the 12 oz. Online they have bottle drops with exclusive designs and exclusive flavors regularly. Their newest bottle drop is a stanley style tumbler with a straw. Online you can also customize your own bottle, you can get a case for the cartridges if you want to interchange them and you can get a filter

Thank you for this video. Very helpful. I had purchased recently once I saw you could add ice to it. I prefer more ice to my water. My only down fall is I love my hydro with the straw. This can get really heavy lifting it up to drink that way. Wish it came with a straw, but I do like it. I can't wait to try the iced coffee!!

Just ordered this.. I don’t remember any cons mentioned in the video for the actual BOTTLE as it seems to be only a REVIEW for the different flavors. So I’ll mention a few for the bottle itself.
CONS
1. The bottle cap cover is kind of annoying. Keeps hitting your cheek when you sip it.
2. Takes two hands to open so it’s not all that convenient.
3. No different color caps (as of 8/25/2021)
4. It leaks if you have it upside down for too long. 3:06 you can see where you twist the cap to the bottle, that’s where it leaks if it’s upside down for too long. Doesn’t leak if you drink it normally though.
5. The amount of force needed to suck the water is quite significant.
6. It’s kind of a waste of plastic lol. For every flavor you replace, you throw away the actual whole cap and get a new one lol.
7. Not bottle related, but more company-related is that they didn’t let me design my own design because it was too “inappropriate” (picture of dolphins), missed opportunity on their part. Still waiting on the refund to change from “Create your own design” bottle to the normal one.
Pros
1. You can use the cap on other bottles like the camelback or hydroflask. Which is pretty cool because you can’t even interchange those two caps. In other words, you don’t have to buy Cirkuls stainless bottle if you already have a vaccum sealed one (which their bottle isn’t even vaccum sealed).
THE DEATH FLAVOUR NO 9 🤣🤣
On the strength, something has gone wrong in the production. It's way too strong too early but you do get the cartridges to last longer. You'll notice is the opposite on others where you have to go to almost 7 before you can taste it
I have one of those, you can push the cap over the little dial and it will hold it in place so you don't have to hold it with your finger
We always called Kool-aid Fruit Punch "Red". Never called it Fruit Punch.
I wish more options were available for people with sensitivities to artificial sweeteners and stevia. I get headaches from both.
There's the PureSips, the Pineapple James tried in this video, in addition to Cucumber, Apple, Peach, Raspberry, Lemon, Pear, and Tangerine. My experience is, as he said, that they're weaker, because they're unsweetened, and so for me, I didn't enjoy them. But they are there, with 8 flavors to choose from. It's the biggest line of sips they have after the LifeSips, there's only like 4 options for coffee and tea, for example.
You can also just add fresh real fruit to a water bottle hehe like apple, strawberry lemon basil is a good combo, and basil lemon or lemon mint and cucumber hope this help you
If the cap gets in your way, it will sit in the handle if you push it into it. Then, just flip it out of the handle to close it.

Something that I learned is you don't want to lay it down where it's upside down when you put the water in especially if you're in a warm car and I use the little finger thing to hold the cap when I drink
I have this. It's pretty good. I like the grape flavor the most currently. They last me about 6+ refills. It also depends. I've noticed that the cartridges will either last the right amount or not as long. I always put mine between 2 and 3. I know when the flavor starts getting less when I have to move the dial slowly towards 10 to keep getting flavor. I used to like fruit punch but I think they changed the recipe or something. I just don't like it as much anymore.
Bought this a few months ago and really like it. Only downside is the size bottle they offer, by the time you get ice in there then water and the cartridge takes space, you don’t get much water so I’m constantly filling. I didn’t know I could use the caps onto other bottles so I will try to find a 30oz that works!
You can also use other water bottles that are larger

So I did purchase last month. Thoughts below! Mostly positive but some things not mentioned in the video review.
I ordered a custom bottle and it took 3 or 4 weeks to even be shipped out (despite the claims of up to 2 weeks maximum), unfortunately! My experience with it so far - I live high-altitude in a dry place and am in the habit of drinking maybe two gatorades or sparkling water cans per day (sometimes more). I've used the water drop things before but it's more convenient to have a bottle or can that doesn't need washing since washing is hard for me due to some medical stuff.
I'm trying to spend less on groceries. I just did my twice-a-month grocery shopping and, comparing my usual drink spending last time to this time, I spent $33.10 less because I know I have Cirkul at home. So for someone like me, the numbers make sense. (Full disclosure, I also did not buy the "fun drinks" I usually get as a treat, so it's not a 1:1 replacement.)
I'm not raving about the taste or anything but I've had the lemon and the berry and they're both fine to me. I usually drink it on the notch 2 or 3 (enough to taste it but not much more), and drinking several bottles a day, one of them lasted a little over a week and a half.
It took a little while to get used to the way the bottle works though - with normal bottles, there's suction and if you're chugging, you have to stop to let air in. Cirkul has a little notch that lets air in automatically (so you could chug the whole bottle without stopping if you were so inclined). At first I got annoyed and covered that with my thumb, but I did get used to it after a couple days.
Once you get to the "bottom," you do have to keep cranking the notch up until it's all the way. Even then, I noticed that there's still a fair amount of liquid left in the little dispenser that will get wasted. I'm also skeptical about the claim of refilling them. Underneath the tube is just a vacuum-suctioned metallic bag with the water flavor. If I pierced it, I don't think the Cirkul would work - it would just leak. A zip-lock would not be air-tight either, and trying to rig something like aluminum foil might work for a little while before it fell apart. This would have to be heat/vacuum sealed around a tube, which I can't do at home.
In terms of waste, I do think I'm probably consuming less plastic (see aforementioned spending on gatorade...) but I think some of the plastic COULD be washed and reused without much trouble. It wouldn't look as "cool" or be as user-friendly as just popping a new dispenser in there, and it might not be machine-washable, so I understand the business decision. I do wish that was an option though. The little tube at the bottom seems to be only for looks (though I could be wrong) and would be interchangeable and easily washable.
I bought a second Cirkul bottle top because they are supposed to be interchangeable with most other bottles, and the regular Cirkul bottle is a little small for me. Unfortunately it's juuuust a little off-size to fit my Pogo 32-oz, which is a bummer.
I do hate the idea of buying something that requires a branded refill cartridge, but like I said, I've saved at least $30 so far and I personally don't think I'm using more plastic than normal. Even if the company goes belly-up, I'll probably break even at worst. (I would need to find a new bottle cap that would fit the Cirkul bottle though, because it has a hole in the top for the drink cartridge... so, not ideal.)
For reference, my spending was: $20 for the customized bottle, $15 for 4 cartridges (2 I haven't used yet... I'm kind of wary of the coffee flavor in retrospect), $5 for the extra Cirkul top, $3.29 tax, free shipping = $43.28. Their regular starter bundle without the custom bottle and extra lid is $30 for four flavor packets or $20 for two flavor things. Looks like they have already increased the cost for the custom bottle to $25 - $35. Actually, now that I'm writing this, I'm thinking I should just spend like $50 and hoard some flavor packets for the next however-many-months, just in case the price goes up or the company dies.
I like the look of that. I'm worried I would leave it somewhere. $50 seems kinda high?
The bottles are $15 (or $20 with a sleeve). A bundle (bottle, sleeve, 4 flavors) is $35. The reason it cost James $43 is that he bought 6 flavors and an extra lid.
I don't feel like accidentally leaving it somewhere is much different than accidentally leaving your water bottle somewhere.

I changed mine to 40 sips, brings the cost down to $2.50 per sip, and I get deliveries every 2-3mo because I don't go through 40 sips in just 1 month (tho a family would easy). You of course can pick out whatever flavors you like for that subscription plan.
I just ordered the Cirkul water bottle and I will get it on Monday, 4/25/2022. I cannot wait to try it. My friend Katie, talked me into trying it.
My favorite setting is 3. When that flavoring is diminished, I go to 9 to see what the flavor is like. There is no indication for the flavor stick is out. PS they are now lableld.

I'm all about my soda stream. I love it. A hack for the co2 bottles is to refill them with dry ice. Makes it way cheaper. All you need is a wrench

I just got mine this week and I’m in love. 3 is the sweet spot for me. Honeycrisp Apple is my favorite flavor so far. I have 3 more to try when it runs out.
These all seem like a waste of plastic to me. What’s wrong with drinking water without being bougie? Crystal light and fruit water diffusers work just as well.With a heck of a lot less waste than those stupid plastic cartridges.
Some people (me included) need help in getting in to the habit of drinking water, especially if we're trying to take ourselves off of something like drinking way too much soda. Which is where I was when I started with Cirkul. It's not even close to bougie, it's we all should be drinking more water, and some of us really need to work on that. This helps a TON in doing that, and I've tried other ways such as crystal light or mio or even "enhanced" water, and they all have their issues which keep someone like me from having an easy time. I have ADHD, so that's most certainly part of it, I lose focus on things where I have to put in a reminder of some kind to have myself do it.
With mio, it's remembering I even have them to pick water and even use it, and it's horrible trying to figure out how much is a proper amount of squirt. With crystal light or other powder drink mixes, you just go through so many of them so fast if you're really trying to use water as a way to get away from something like soda. The flavors also get extremely tiresome if you're having like 4 a day. Sure, if you're otherwise already drinking the proper water you should be, crystal light is more like a rare thing you decide hey I want some flavor in this water, but if you're using flavored water to take yourself away from soda, these powder drink mixes become too much. Also very dependent upon where you are for what you can get, my local stores only sells crystal light in 5 packs of single-use pouches. That's a day of the water I should be drinking. It's just not feasible, and online can be better, but ton of cardboard waste to order massive amounts of it online, so what's the difference? Also just bulky and in the way, a lot.
I also tried enhanced water drinks. They were alright for a time, great flavor selection, alright price, etc, but I found myself sitting upon a ton of hard plastic bottles.
Fruit water diffusers? Come on, if we're people addicted to soda, you think we have fresh fruit habits enough to do that? This is me shitting on myself here.
With Cirkul? I bought a steel 40oz bottle, I use the cap, I fill it with ice and water, pop a sip on, and... I'm good. Drink that down, refill it, pop the sip back on, still good. Get a third refill of the 40oz, pop it back on, at this point I'm getting more water than flavor, but, that's a good thing. Finish it up, swap the sip. That's 120oz of water where I didn't use 7 16.9oz water bottles. What is more plastic waste, 7 empty 16.9oz water bottles or the one sip? By how much?
If you're someone who's got no problem with proper water consumption, hey, that's fantastic, seriously, and yeah, you probably don't have any need for Cirkul. But many of us aren't as healthy as you are, some of us have to fight back against years or decades of unhealthy habits in order to try to change ourselves in at least this way to make ourselves more healthy, and Cirkul is fantastic to help us get there.
At 07:00 through 07:10 you can see the semi-circular "bump" or tab where the cap's strap locks onto (the strap is made with slit in it). I don't know why Circular doesn't point it out more for those of us who disliked that. Otherwise, it's a good product as long as you can adjust to the suction it requires to get the water flowing.

Never seen these things before but my initial review is: Too much plastic waste! Just use any bottle you like and add flavoring on your own instead, a lot more environmentally friendly!
