SamCrusader1 Yes it is respect they show but it is also 100/s of years of tradition added. Even though they hate foreigners I have the utmost respect for them and their culture. If only my country can have such culture. Only thing my country thinks of is "Lets get rid of all the whites and chase away all the foreigners so we can take back the country they "stole" from us." The UK banned us from migrating to their country since they say we drink to much. which is kinda true.
SamCrusader1 Lol. Nah hate this country power outages cause the government thought it would be awesome to share 70% of the countries power to a neighbouring country that is like a 1/10 of ours in size and with the 2010 soccer world cup has also cause an 80% increase of unemployment..
That smile from Yui at 1:16 SOOOO cute *.* :3 For me its pretty hard to decide Moa or Yui is the cutess from the trio :D.. Su also cute but those 2 girls are insanly adorable kawaii desu :D
Péter Kovács I don't think anyone can ever decide who is the cutest but I kind of thing as Su as more of the mother figure of the group, don't get me wrong she's still cute but you know.
+Chloe Boulter She was the president of the idol studio the three girls come from. In each studio one girl is assigned the task of being strong for the other girls and always offering encouragement, so yes, the other girls do look up to Su, and she in turn looks after them. It's probably why she did all the talking as the other 2 girls would defer to her as their leader.
shadowheart52 Actually, Su was the member-leader of just 1 Idol group (Sakura Gakuin) from Amuse, Inc. And only during her last year in the group. The group "Concept" is that of a girls school (Cherry Blossom Academy). Moa was the "Student Council President" 2 years later, being her and Yui's last year in the group. Su is 1½ years older. Babymetal was formed as a sub-group of Sakura Gakuin during its first year in 2010, but because of its popularity became its own group upon Su's "graduation" from SG in March of 2013.
Interestingly, in a previous interview (for a Japanese channel) they revealed how their entire kitsune mythology came about: right back when they started, they were doing a photoshoot and the photographer tried to make them do the standard metal horns. One of the girls said something to the effect of "That looks like a fox!", the photographer said something to the effect of "I can work with that", and so some bright spark in the creative team came up with the kitsune mythology backstory, which understandably ties heavily into Japanese kitsune folklore.
Those were probably fake. Obviously, the Fox God came down upon KobaMetal and gave him the wisdom to guide these women how to lead us into the Metal Galaxy
Aww they are so cute, even though it was a bit short I enjoyed the interview, and actually I didn't know they met with Yoshiki from X-Japan he is a legend!
They've actually told the real story behind the genesis of the fox sign in an early Japanese interview, they were being shown metal videos and were told to copy the sign and they did it wrong because that's how you do a fox in shadow play, and the management realized, hey let's run with this. Edit: shit someone beat me to this.
it is so awesome how far these young ladies have come and grown i give the interviewer credit for knowing the band and for how professional and welcoming she was with the girls. with all the division there is now of days it is good to see they are welcomed into the metal community and accepted after all the nay sayers on how what they play isnt real metal or that they wouldnt last, i am glad they are proving all them wrong for it is hard to get into music let alone a music deal and be female and from another country
John Rambo Since I was born in a different country, born from a German father and a Scottish mother, I find that offensive, but I don't really care, since it's the wild internet, where everyone is free to be a royal douche, but hey take that tip, and start with yourself.
John Rambo Your country is already a melting pot. There's nothing you can do about it. You just have to deal with it or live with this hatred every day. It must tear you up inside that your president is half black.
I don't have any problem with color or sexuality, only thing that bugs me is religion, I wish I could burn every goddamn church, I lived in the US for a long time, after I graduated in college, I never had any problem with people, actually I made good friends, maybe because I'm white with a Texan accent LOL the only thing that I didn't like was paying 20 bucks for a theater ticket in LA, highway robbery.
If you haven't seen it, look up "Babymetal guess what is inside", and the behind the scenes too. It's one of the few times (heck probably the only time now that I think about it lol) that Yui and Moa are the centre of attention, which is good for a change!
TheGirlsOnGames They may have been pretty exhausted, I heard that the summer heat at some of the venues was kinda shocking to them...that and going from one show to another...I know I would sleepily be slurring my words...
ninjakamone soukamone that is one of the major reasons I love BABYMETAL.they look so...I don't know how to explane it....they are not infected with "star decease"...they are just three girls, who make fun.
They are so cute, I really liked the interview. But I have to say, I didn't notice that the fingers signal was a fox, I used to think this was just a new way to do this, or just a babymetal mark. The interviewer is so cute too!
0:29 For those wondering what the REAL answer to this is... The girls were supposed to do a traditional metal sign but inadvertently did the Kitsune sign. Someone (I'm guessing the creator of Babymetal) liked the sign and decided they should keep it. I'm not sure if that's how they came up with the Fox God mythology or if that was already planned and the Fox sign happened later. Either way, cute story. :)
If you mean legal sex age with "that age", no, only Su has been over that age for more than 1 year. The legal age there is the same as it's here in Germany, 14 years.
For people keep questioning why Moa-Tama and Yui-Tan didn't speak, it's because Suzuka-Senpai would be what is called the representative of the group. Therefore, she speaks for BabyMetal. If any interviewer ask directly to either girls, then they would speak. Unless it was noted that they are general questions beforehand.
EpicSeamen i have a japanese girlfriend dude... well idk what we are now.. anyway, it's not "Disrespectful" saying add-ons like "-tan" and "-Tama" are CUTE, Kawaii, Kirei, Etc. And "-Senpai" was solely to acknowledge that she's the senpai of the group, not to me. i know what i'm talking about. thanks for the misinformed info though. Secondly, Suzuka-senpai is definitely the representative of the group. in Japan, it's more often that in any group, the Eldest of the group is to speak out. Lastly, it's not uncool to say chan, tan, san, senpai, sama, tama, etc. that's totally your idea.it's adorable to call Moa-sama, my sama, to me. it's not disrespectful AT ALL. who the hell is your friend man. saying Moa-sama merely mean i look up to her. Yui-tan, is merely the cute way to say Yui-san, she's not my san, but i didn't want to say chan, as it cannot be used with a "t". and i already explained why i say suzuka-senpai.
Yes if you know the person then yes its not. But if you know nothing then it is. Add-ons are considered a friendly add-on for close personal friends or relationships.
+Tracey Lynn Coulas I just started listening to Babymetal this week and I can already say that they are one of my favorite bands. I regret not finding out about them before otherwise I would've went to see them.
My first thought was WTF. When I checked out the members of KAMI band, they really have some talented musicians backing them up. On their own the girls would be just like any average jpop group. I would rather see the guys do their own show without the girls.
The subtitles don't really convey how polite Su is. It is hard to translate, though. For instance, when she talks about people wearing Babymetal T-shirts in the Lady Gaga crowd, she uses a phrase that would translate something like: "kindly gave us the wearing of Babymetal T-shirts".
That was pretty cool! And Metalica huh? That's awesome! Also, "Like" if you came here searching for "Babymetal" after watching "TH-camrs React to Babymetal" on the channel "Finebros".
I know Baby Metal not a big fan and just got this sent to me by Facebook. But just curious, how did they answer the questions if they can't speak English? Could they understand the questions but just speak Japanese? I read on the comments that they can't speak English so well.
I feel like they're being forced to do this, the look on the two other girls are practically "Stand and smile.." I know that they have a system in their country but right now they're either tired or don't want to be here. That's my opinion 0-0
I guess they are really tired. They're doing a world tour, of course it's exhausting. And the video was recorded AFTER their performance, so of course they're very exhausted. I don't think they get forced to do this, they actually dreamed of living an idol-star life like this one. They'd never thought they'd get that famous in that short time. I think they're quite thankful being there.
Aha not many people in south africa like J-rock or pop. just like a few hundred. Would've loved to see them in action. BabyMetal is like another fav of mine. Lets see of the J-rock well the top 3 in no order is BabyMetal, Yousei Teikoku and High and Mighty Color. and when its vocaloid music then its Save The Queen, Crow'sClaw, and Draw the Emotional. But the band that I saw Yousei in first was in a video of Malice Mizer - Beast Blood. I would so LOVE to see bands like BabyMetal and Yousei Teikoku in South Africa. Wanna take a picture with them also and get a kiss from Yousei mayhap from all three Moa, Yui and Suzuka. But yeah some of these peoples comments i find very rude and disrespectful towards such a band as BabyMetal such as Runeding's Viking Reviews. The fox god is one of the gods of harvest cant remember what region though but they normally take a bountiful of their harvest and burn in on a bonfire as an offering while singing and dancing in honor of the god for giving such a good year of harvest. To actually make fun of these girls with the fox god is the biggest dishonor ever. Its like saying "Your music is awesome but your culture sucks." Japan has the biggest cultural beliefs and traditions which are very fascinating.
EpicSeamen Thanks for mentioning High and Mighty Color. I had not heard of them before. I find the best Jrock band to introduce people to is One OK Rock.Their most recent stuff is a bit too polished but the older albums have a real nice raw feel to them. Great stuff.
BabyMetalWorldDomination Always a pleasure. Ill check out One OK Rock and see if they are to my liking and perhaps ill end up with some of their music and videos. Most of the Jrock and Jpop bands I find via Anime intros and endings the others I find via youtube while im busy searching for those ive heard on an anime ive been watching. But BabyMetal, my friend referred to me, funny thing is he didnt even like Jmusic. until ive shown him Coaltar Of The Deepers - Dead By Dawn. That was when he got hooked on it. First i didnt like BabyMetal when i heard Doki Doki Morning. Then when i was bored and wanted new Jmusic to listen to that song started nagging and gnawing at the the back of my head now i am a fan of their music. But yeah those i have music vids of are Nami Tamaki, Nana Kitade, Nightmare, Nirgilis, Scandal, Stereopony, Younha, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Yousei Teikoku, HMC (high and mighty color) and AKFG (asain kung-fu generation). There are a bunch others like Uverworld, Yui, Yui Horie, Rei Fu, Orange Range, Gazette etc etc. Also got a few Kmusic but its like one or 2 songs of an artist that i listen to but my Jmusic i listen to everyday and i play it also when i go to bed, well 95% of the time actually.
BabyMetalWorldDomination Ive listened to a couple of videos of One OK Rock but its not for me TBH. What are the titles of the old songs perhaps it was all the new things ive heard so far?
EpicSeamen I love their entire 2010 album, Niche Sydrome. Most of the songs are fast paced and at least one of them, "Never Let This Go", is sung in English. The rest of the songs are a pretty even split between Japanese and English. That's one of the main reasons I recommend them to new Japanese music fans. They have a ballad on it called, "Wherever you are", which wasn't released as a single but been a big favorite of their fans, especially female fans. Lots of fan made videos on YT of it to check out. You'll find most band's music by doing a google search of the band name and the word "Discography".
BabyMetalWorldDomination TBH i dont really like their music, and i understand why they will have alot of female fans. Ive kinda stop listening to english music so it might be that reason i dont really like One OK Rock if i have to give and example of the music reminds me of its like The Rasmus with the voice of Nickelback.
At the end of the vid, the girls bowed lower than the interviewer's bow to show respect.......Such well-mannered young ladies ;)
SamCrusader1 Yes it is respect they show but it is also 100/s of years of tradition added. Even though they hate foreigners I have the utmost respect for them and their culture. If only my country can have such culture. Only thing my country thinks of is "Lets get rid of all the whites and chase away all the foreigners so we can take back the country they "stole" from us." SamCrusader1 NZ?! New Zealand?! Im from South Africa.
EpicSeamen I see.....I was talking with someone else about New Zealand before, that's what made me think of NZ when I read your comment
SamCrusader1 Lol. Nah hate this country power outages cause the government thought it would be awesome to share 70% of the countries power to a neighbouring country that is like a 1/10 of ours in size and with the 2010 soccer world cup has also cause an 80% increase of unemployment..
+SamCrusader1 I live in NZ xD I was born there I'm 12 :) you can ask me questions if you want :D
"Metallica-san" lol I liked this
That smile from Yui at 1:16 SOOOO cute *.* :3 For me its pretty hard to decide Moa or Yui is the cutess from the trio :D.. Su also cute but those 2 girls are insanly adorable kawaii desu :D
Definitely Moa man :D shes the cutest

You mean there is no fox god....... now I'm so disillusioned.
Riff Raff Fox God exists in Japanese religion of Shinto
Those were probably fake. Obviously, the Fox God came down upon KobaMetal and gave him the wisdom to guide these women how to lead us into the Metal Galaxy
jesus christ i want to hug this girls...
Kitsume doesnt want!
Aww they are so cute, even though it was a bit short I enjoyed the interview, and actually I didn't know they met with Yoshiki from X-Japan he is a legend!
礼儀正しい。最後のお辞儀もGOOD

Thanks to Kitsune-sama for these girls! May they have a ton of success.
Thanks for this great interview ! :)

The west could learn so much from the japanese when it comes to manners and respect to others.
John Rambo You do realize he was referring to people like you, right? This unintentional satire is amazing, ahaha!
John Rambo Since I was born in a different country, born from a German father and a Scottish mother, I find that offensive, but I don't really care, since it's the wild internet, where everyone is free to be a royal douche, but hey take that tip, and start with yourself.

John Rambo This must be satire. But you do appear to live in Texas, so yeah... you know what I mean.
1 word: KAWAII!
Unfortunately Moa and Yui didn't talk.
If you haven't seen it, look up "Babymetal guess what is inside", and the behind the scenes too. It's one of the few times (heck probably the only time now that I think about it lol) that Yui and Moa are the centre of attention, which is good for a change!
Yes, I've seen it before, frog is inside.
Yeah only Su really answered the questions. I looked to the other two girls but I just went with the flow that the girls felt like.
homestarronny its a frog
TheGirlsOnGames
They may have been pretty exhausted, I heard that the summer heat at some of the venues was kinda shocking to them...that and going from one show to another...I know I would sleepily be slurring my words...

that is one of the major reasons I love BABYMETAL.they look so...I don't know how to explane it....they are not infected with "star decease"...they are just three girls, who make fun.
I'm melting ...
Babymetal they are Amazing i speak in english
They are so cute, I really liked the interview. But I have to say, I didn't notice that the fingers signal was a fox, I used to think this was just a new way to do this, or just a babymetal mark. The interviewer is so cute too!
"If you could collaberate with any band?" "Metallica" My goodness, HELL YESSSSS!!!!!!!
I LOVE BABYMETEL!!! :-D

You wouldn't think it by looking at her here... But Su Metal can really sing...... and I mean really sing
they are just amazing
2:10 I melted..
...because whether it's a group or an individual person, you must put -san on it to be respectful.
Metalica-san, Lady Gaga-san, BabyMetal-san =D
Metallica-san..... SO KAWAII.
If they turn 18 years old, I am pretty sure what all the guy would think about ..
What?
Right now I'm waiting for Yu-Metal to grow up to 18 so I can go and ask her to marry me
Not to freak anyone out or anything but in their native Japan they've been over "that age" for several years now
If you mean legal sex age with "that age", no, only Su has been over that age for more than 1 year. The legal age there is the same as it's here in Germany, 14 years.
Umm... pretty sure I read that it's 13, just like in Spain
at 0:55 If she said 'Wow, that's really interesting "set up"', I will had a good laugh.
For people keep questioning why Moa-Tama and Yui-Tan didn't speak, it's because Suzuka-Senpai would be what is called the representative of the group. Therefore, she speaks for BabyMetal. What I said is the truth.... -.-
And she is the eldest in the group, btw was just introduced to babymetal 5 hours ago and here i am head banging my god am i hooked. :D
Y3llowshm3llow You are in the middle of transitioning. it's okay... keep it up buddy.

What the hell, they were in Canada? :'( I live like two or three hours away and I didnt get to see them.
+Tracey Lynn Coulas I just started listening to Babymetal this week and I can already say that they are one of my favorite bands. I regret not finding out about them before otherwise I would've went to see them.
Brandon2940 I understand, I've been a fan for a couple of months now but I regret not seeing them either. They're awesome.
+Tracey Lynn Coulas What is your favorite song?
Brandon2940 RoR,Headbangya and Megitsune :) yours?
Tracey Lynn Coulas Easily, Rondo Of Nightmare. Su-Metal's singing in that one is just beyond words.
I knew Su metal would say metallica when she asked who they would like to collaborate with lol
Me too but I was hoping she'd say someone like slayer lol
awesome to see them take over the world!
i feel so starstruck just by watching this.
2:13 :D
My first thought was WTF. When I checked out the members of KAMI band, they really have some talented musicians backing them up. On their own the girls would be just like any average jpop group. I would rather see the guys do their own show without the girls.
The subtitles don't really convey how polite Su is. It is hard to translate, though. For instance, when she talks about people wearing Babymetal T-shirts in the Lady Gaga crowd, she uses a phrase that would translate something like: "kindly gave us the wearing of Babymetal T-shirts".
Они такие милые :3
These girls are too cute. Kawaii! Su

All three of the girls have a black belt in Kawaii
people are always asking about the fox.

+Susan Williamscrawley Those are youtube's automatic captions. They are not accurate.
I love them so much!
But I really think that Yui and Moa are not very talkative. They're sort of introverts, but it's cute ♥!!
Actually, Moa is pretty gregarious. Yui is shy though.
what card games do they like
yuiの身長めっちゃ高くなってるな。moaが小さくみえる…泣
That was pretty cool! And Metalica huh? That's awesome!
Also, "Like" if you came here searching for "Babymetal" after watching "TH-camrs React to Babymetal" on the channel "Finebros".
i think they are going to be a big name soon. What is the song at the end of the vid please?
Hi! It's purchased stock music of off Killer Tracks.
That would be fucking awesome for them to collaborate with Metallica! Rock on Babymetal! \m/

But i came here to hear Yui's beautiful voice
I love Su!!! But why is she the only one who talks?
The infiltration of Japanese...basically in everything that we know... now that's something I would call okashi!!!
Yui so cute
I know Baby Metal not a big fan and just got this sent to me by Facebook. But just curious, how did they answer the questions if they can't speak English? Could they understand the questions but just speak Japanese? I read on the comments that they can't speak English so well.
X-Japan!
Full concert
Babymetal ilove you
I was hoping the girls would answer in english....huhu nvm
+Freddy Xinan They actually have done full interview's speaking in English
Metallica-san...^_^
Lady Gaga-san :3
Very cute. Good interview. Nice to know they want to work with Metallica
Song at the end please?
She should learn the words to nothing else matters.
I think they should collaborate with Motörhead
Are they still in the United states? I thought they went back to japan as soon as they finished the lady gaga concert.
They went to Heavy Montreal in Canada to round up their North America portion of the World Tour.
I wish they would come to Florida
Miami
BABYMETAL will take part in concert 8/16,8/17 on SUMMER SONIC in JAPAN.
They'll be back in the US in November. NYC to be specific.
I feel like they're being forced to do this, the look on the two other girls are practically "Stand and smile.." I know that they have a system in their country but right now they're either tired or don't want to be here. That's my opinion 0-0

Ive kinda stop listening to english music so it might be that reason i dont really like One OK Rock if i have to give and example of the music reminds me of its like The Rasmus with the voice of Nickelback.
didn't you find it felt like interviewing cartoon characters? erm.
So kawaeeehhh
